mann i really wanted the oled switch the old switch i have is Trash in handheld mood it does good job in tv and gaming moniter mood but it awful in handheld mood it fu__cking sucks that i got stuck with my dogshit old switch that has bad wash out colors compare to the oled!!
The screen is noticeably better so it definitely improves the on the go experience.

It’s actually very noticeably less detailed bigger screen with the same resolution = more obvious pixels
I’ve only recently tried a switch for the first time and I really liked it. The A Roll in the new studio looks great

Love my Switch OLED! The screen improvement (size & colour) is REAL! Mine also took a bit of a journey too, from Australia to Tokyo, Japan so I could play it during our two-week quarantine in our AirBNB!
Metroid Dread is AMAZING! Animal Crossing transfer and the process of redownloading all my games was a bit of a mission though… but it all worked out well in the end! Wish the N64 controllers were easier to get… great video iJustine!
Managed to create a better demo/review than even Nintendo could hope to do with the commercials. Incredible!

@@henryfoster9546 No, the joycons are actually identical to the previous Switch model, but the OLED console (screen) itself is ever so slightly wider. Not really noticeable unless you have a snap-in case or something similar

Fantastic review! My kids asked if I liked to play games during my childhood tonight and I was reminiscing so many games to them. They've never played video games before so this is going to be a total surprise but they're mesmerized from just my excitement. I loved watching you get giddy over your new set. I was between getting 1 OLED for my 2 kids to share, or getting them each their own Lite. The OLED seems to be a better choice especially if they can play multi-player on a tv together. Thank you for laying it out so clearly and showing us the options

I pretty much play 100% handheld for now. Especially with a grip, it's pretty much the perfect size and weight. My only gripe now is I wish the buttons and sticks were better and it had slightly better performance (and 📂's). And if they do essentially do this with a revision down the line, just a teensy bit more screen wouldn't hurt.
get the hori split pad pro....its amazing! much better sticks and buttons and the added length makes it very comfortable and feels like a whole new handheld! i was amazed and my hands dont go numb anymore holding the switch with reg joycons

Watching this again because my friends got me hooked on video games. And after watching animal crossing and Pokémon streams I kinda have been researching which switch would be better for my technology availability.
Now I think I definitely should save up for this one. I like bigger screen option and newer version. Can’t wait to see it available on local stores as I just discovered I could possibly even get it on my mobile carrier contract for less than my iPhone 12.
Also I see this as good option when you don’t have smart tv to play games on (like my friends) and I even looked up possible laptop connections. So this one looks right up to my alley. Also for when I’m willing to give my phone a break or just feel like playing video games (which is something I’ve only been discovering few weeks ago)

I had kind of a sarcastic thought of saving and buying an OLED Switch just for Pokémon Scarlet/ Violet and I actually pulled of saving and buying one!
The screen is so nice that I hardly want to use it on a TV at all!

After 1 month I tried not to watch this unboxing of iJustine. What a coincidence that today. My Nintendo Switch OLED was delivered and it’s weird unboxing it with her. Also happy 1 month on this video. 🤍🤍🤍
So in videos I’ve seen there’s not much difference but yesterday in Target I saw a display model of the oled and the original next to each other and omg the display in the new one is drastically better! So it’s way more noticeable in person.

I just purchased the OLED switch today and I’m glad I did. Personally i think that this should have been the first switch when i have put the first one side by side you can see the changes and its great

Old-school controllers! Yes! I have a Nintendo GameCube Wavebird in order to play GameCube games on my Wii. Not to mention, I grew up with playing Sega Genesis and Sega Dreamcast games, and I still have those consoles.
I have to admit your pretty good at advertising, I don't think I'll ever be able to play old games again I'm always looking towards the future now old games is for nostalgia but to replay them all again from start to finish just can't do it anymore. I guess that's why newer is supposedly always better. It's your brain seeing something new for the first time which makes new nostalgic memories that has a higher endorphine response than playing an old nostalgic game that you've already visited. A bit like gut bacteria new foods will cause your healthy bacteria to say thank you to you instead of eating the same foods over n over.

Oh! Last I heard, if you have a Game Stop nearby, they are giving like $260 trade in, towards the new OLED version. Worth checking out. Don't know how long that deal is going on. Or how often they get stock coming in though.

OLED Switch is nice but I wish they updated the Switch Lite also as I don't really care for an OLED screen in a Switch which is docked to my TV 99% of the time. I want the OLED screen on the model _designed_ to be used on the go 🤷♂️

it’s just the screen that’s changed the controllers are the same and it works with the older docks…
@@Doppo69 the whole top of the device is different, as is the main logic board... the display cable port on the board is completely different for the OLED panel.
@@MikeLikesChannel he means just buy the whole screen unit separately like for cheaper than with the dock and controllers, I think

4:35 She's capping! The Switch OLED is absolutely not smoother than the regular Switch. I own both and there is definately no difference in performance, or how "smoothe" it feels. It's the same console with a different body. Nintendo has confirmed that the OLED model has the same internals as the red box Switch. The Switch OLED is great but what iJustine said in this part is straight up false.
I have one and it does look different to me. the colors are brighter, I own 5 different switches. Youre crazy lol
