- This is a requested video on how I play Metallica's Unforgiven II on acoustic guitar. As you'll see, I'm not a music instructor... but hey at least I tried! Questions and comments welcome.

2:42 you didn't explain what to do after the slide 5 to 3, and you went on too fast. It looked like a G chord then E ? Can you explain which strings you play I'm new to guitar and didn't catch a thing

let me try to help you, but im no near good or perfect:
as i see it after he does the slide from 5 to 3 he plays a G chord, then he bends the 3rd fret and then plays the B string open.
after that he plays an E and plays the rest of the part as he explained

What string gauge and material do you use, they sound so metalic, i need to buy them
Just regular rinky-dink strings... light gauge acoustic (12's) D'Addario
Forgive me but can anyone tell me what string he is playing right in the beginning...after hitting A string 2 to 3 then there's one note right after I cant pick up

It's easy to confuse tempo & aggressive percussion especially playing live... this is a great song to work on playing with lots of heavy percussion, yet keeping your tempo & timing under control & in check

Can you give me tabs? I can not understand what are you doing, I understand, but I don't understand when do I use what string. I never studied accords. I hope you understand, what I'm saying.
A year late, but... tabs actually won'T show you WHEN you are suppossed to hit a string. you need to listen to that part over and over until you know when to hit a string. Also, you need to study accords. He says what you need to do.

A tabs instruction would be awesome because your camera is really bad and your explanations are poor to those who dont know too much english, i can barely see what you're doing on the intro.

Indeed, RUclips (well, of corse, people) teached me to play the guitar, and I never had a teacher. The songs what I know are still not perfect, but I'm getting better every day - thanks to those who upload those how to videos :)

That C chord ur doing is called Cdda9
For those who aren't familiar with Cadd9, you just put a finger on third fret of B string instead of on the first fret. Thank me later😊
