13:15 (Q. 414/869= what % it is) 434.5=50%, So, 434.5-414=20.5, 2%= 17.38, Again 20.5-17.38= 3.12, again 0.1%= 0.869, 0.3%= 2.607, 0.4%=3.476. 3.12 is around 0.3-0.4%. Your explanation has taken 20 why not 20.5????????
We are calculating approximately.. not exact so to make calculation a little less complex he had not taken .5

Only on this video I can say that for some hard numbers, using the calculator would be equal or slightly slower but at least much more reliable than doing it in your head if you dont have the time to train your mind as the exam is near now.

In sum of 373 divided by 1296, the main catch is calculating the 25% of 1296! Everything else takes a second maximum, but this calculation, getting the figure "324" is the catch here! Any tips to calculate it faster?

can this concept be applied to a numerator greater than the denominator??
What i do is just write the numerator in 2 parts, like for example - 880/800 = 800/800 + 80/800 i.e. 1+ 1/10 = 1.1

It's only for CAT, the calculator. No other exams provide it. So you feel helpless in other exams

Thank you so much for the information provided at free which matters a lot but at many places there was calculation error even at the number and not only decimal.
These videos were recorded between 3 am to 5 am because of my office & work schedule. So some calculation mistakes you can take out in few videos but those are only calculation mistakes. No conceptual mistakes:)

If 0.1 %is 1.3, then 0.2%will be 2.6 so it can be written as 3 as per recurring decimal...

Calculator is only allowed in CAT. Not in XAT, SNAP, IIFT, NMAT etc

But just as a concern calculating in this process would also take some time simply why can’t we just use calculator as roughly it would take same time.
And let’s assume in rare situations if your 10 sec or taken more using calculator you might not attend one question but here your accuracy increases by trusting calculator and bonus is +3 rather using the method and being in .1% of doubt is also danger of - 1
