The Vagus nerve is the key player to the onset and persistence of your vocal struggles. The most important thing to know is that it is also the way you heal your voice again. Here's more....
Lord find a cure for SD! We are suffering! Thanks for this vid
This is very interesting and I'm interested in more info about how to heal the vagus nerve. My vocal problems are very much tied to emotions. If I'm happy, sad or angry I find it impossible to speak. But if I'm relaxed I can speak very well. Ive had some gut related issues too along with other issues you mention. I've been seeing a lot of doctors and seem to be getting nowhere.
Hi John, yes, I am certain anxiety/stress/emotions, as well as digestive issues, all play a huge role in vocal issues like spasmodic dysphonia. My voice is more uneven and inconsistent when I am bloated feeling after eating (anxiety can also play a role in digestive problems and vice-versa). It's all connected and quite frustrating.
Thank you for this information.

Can this be linked to a concussion?
Im not a doctor but most of these talk about nerves and a certain part of the brain, I would think it must relate to any injury above the torso.
