The Tom Hardy analogy of The Rock was so funny and so true, trying to turn a B List villain into an A List antihero that doesn't want anything to do with his hero counterpart
I partly blame The Rock for Shazam 2 failing for real. Because Black Adam is a Shazam villain. Not a Superman villain and he sure as hell ain’t no anti-hero. It probably doesn’t make someone particularly wanna see Shazam 2 when the movie about his biggest rival probably has an actor that wants nothing to do with it.
@starrsmith3810 Before the whole Dwayne Johnson issue, I genuinely thought that Shazam 2 would be about Dr. Sivana and Mr. Mind summoning Black Adam to fight the Shazamily and the Black Adam movie would be about his origin story, how he got his powers, releasing the Seven Deadly Sins and being sent to another dimension by the Wizard. I'm pretty sure that WAS the plan until Dwayne got his greedy mitts over it and started being demanding.

We all know the real reason why you picked a Wolverine movie as an equivalent to the Batman and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine as an equivalent to Keaton's Batman: Wolverine's cowl looks like 2 Batmen kissing.
As someone who is a die hard Marvel/MCU fan, and a casual DC/DCEU fan, this video really put into perspective just how bad the DCEU really was. I absolutely loved The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, the Flash, and Shazam, but that’s really it. This was a fantastic video and I’m glad I finally understand what it was like for DC fans
I’m a dc fan and I liked how in the video he made captain America unrecognizable as a character because believe it or not captain America is a like Superman when it comes to character. Marvel did a better Superman than dc
I know you said you stuck with the Peacemaker plot because it’s all original so it’s not DC dependent but since it’s a Marvel equivalent I can’t help but point out how well the Skrulls would fit, being aliens who can impersonate anyone
"Thor: Love & Thunder also caused controversy due to Jane being resurrected in some random, unamed woman. That woman, while unconscious, was used for a night of passion between Thor and Jane. Ultimately, r-wording her which was never addressed in the movie. The writers and director were never allowed to work in mainstream entertainment ever again".
That would be crazy, you would have to make each individual Ranger unique and set apart from the other by giving them unique gimmicks on top of other things
i'm obsessede with this timeline's equivalent of dc's huge black adam push, where there's a huge comic event that ends with venom giving EVERY superhero a symbiote to fight the event's villain (who is, inexplicably, mister sinister)
I made my own version of this a few months ago. Captain America: The First Avenger Captain America: Civil War Thunderbolts Thor The Avengers Namor Captain Marvel A-Force Thor 2 The Thunderbolts US Agent Doctor Doom Captain Marvel: Space Race Quicksilver Spider-Man Namor 2
I would love to see a video where you do a Marvel Movie Universe where marvel owned all their characters but it doesn’t follow the MCU structure which means iron man, captain America, Spider-Man, x men, and fantastic four and more all have trilogys, you can have tv series and movies at the same time like Hawkeye or Daredevil series during phase 2. And you can go pass 22 films in phase 1-3. Shung Chi, Black Panther and Captain Marvel can appear earlier in the universe.
Okay, hear me out: while I loved almost everything about this video, instead of "Venom," I think we should have gotten "Morbius," starring Jared Leto as the equivalent to Black Adam. Think about it: >Actor is self-obsessed and notoriously hard to work with, yet keeps getting roles >Character is almost completely irrelevant without his archenemy, who is completely vacant from the movie >Movie advertises itself as being about a gritty antihero, when it's really just about a slightly edgy hero >Main villain ends up being a random character no one has ever heard of with a weird and kind of boring fight Then just throw the Fantastic Four in for no reason and have Captain America show up at the end. Also, I'd kill off Mr. Fantastic instead, because he seems like he'd be the most interesting, and we wouldn't want a more interesting character than Morbius in his movie, now would we?
I always thought that it would make more sense if spiderman no way home was the equivalent of the flash, basically being the first spider-man movie in the MEU and also having the task to reboot the whole thing
Funnily enough it was in the original, Deadpool was the Peacemaker counterpart for The Thunderbolts and he got his own show, with Colossus being the Vigilante counterpart
Chris Evans shot alternate endings for The Flash movie appearing as Cap. However they got cut and replaced with Dougray Scott as Logan, with Strange asking WTF?! For those who may not know. Scott was originally cast as Logan for X-Men but left due to Mission Impossible 2 having reshoots. So Hugh got it thankfully. Best I could do with replacing the Clooney cameo with something Wolverine related 🤣
"And the fight everyone has always wanted to happen: Captain America vs. Venom is finally teased" I know this is like a creative/fun thing but to be real, if Captain America did fight Venom, he'd likely just barely hold his own against him if not get absolutely destroyed.
@@SuperBatSpider Yeah but Venom is the come back king. For pete's sake, he fought his fricking creator. Someone who was said (before he did die) to be impossible to kill and be able to kill anyone in the Marvel universe. Someone who wiped out Sentry so easily it hurt all the Sentry fans that exist. Only way I can see Captain America winning that battle is if he had Mjolnir and even then that's only because of lightning creating fire.
@@jamesplayzreviews Yeah. Venom is definitely coming back, but Cap is probably gonna win the first match and as he’s a legendary hero he’s definitely at least not getting killed by Venom. I could see him losing a rematch though.
Venom vs Cap is a difficult fight to sell because both characters are very popular for very different reasons. No matter who wins, a significant portion of the fanbase is upset. It would _have_ to be a standoff and I can only hope it would be a cool one where both parties still feel like they're fighting their best but evenly matched and not a pissy one where it's clear they're both pulling punches because corporate can't let one of them win.
Ok, don’t care what Snyder fanboys/people who don’t understand Superman are gonna say to me for this, the digs at Superman’s characterization through Cap was kinda funny to me (edit:make that digs towards many of the DCEU’s weird or dumb decisions, still funny)
@@_MECHA_ I never said people who like Man of Steel don’t understand Superman, I like it myself, I just said Snyder fanboys at the same time as that cause with the fans of his that defend the stuff he did for DC (all while probably acting like Gunn is terrible for DC and the DCU’s doomed when we haven’t even gotten to it yet) like their lives depend on it, it just feels like at least some of them fall into that category, but not all
Meanwhile in James Gunn’s MCU Reboot, there was an Iron Man Movie called: “The Invincible Iron Man” which follows Tony Stark mentoring Nathaniel Richards’ A.K.A Iron Lad in which Luke Evans was a popular choice to play Tony Stark giving that he voiced him in Iron Man: Long Halloween.
This really puts into perspective the difference of Marvel planning a decade of movies in advance versus slapping together a shitty copy over a weekend
Blue Beetle was such a weird anomaly that I had to pause the video to think really hard about what Ghost Rider was a counterpart to. As someone who's always been more familiar with Marvel than DC, having Cull Obsidian be the main villain of the Avengers really puts into focus how wild it was that Steppenwolf was carrying the whole Justice League event. Is it weird that I actually kind of like the opening premise of this universe's Civil War (Captain America finding a darker Iron Man vigilante)? The Civil War we actually got never felt like anyone was really at risk of dying and this would have some weight to it. It could be a fun What If episode at least (although obviously dumb for the main movie).
Don't forger for the doctor strange movie the controversial desicion of having a CGI cameo of Bill Bixby (70s Bruce Banner) and a scene based on a cancelled movie. or maybe a cameo of Captain America from the 1940s serials.
One of the worst decisions was having doomsday and the death of superman before the justice league movie. There were a ton of terrible decisions with the dceu.
X-23 is the Batgirl equivalent (or was) because the original plan would be to bring Hugh Jackman Wolverine (and presumably by extension the rest of the Fox X-Men) into the MEU, and in place of Wakanda Forever, we could have it's equivalent could be a proper Cap sequel so at least this universe can come full circle.
And then it fumbled hard due to his growing Egos whoch led to James Gunn taking over Marvel. Meanwhile, at DC, in the Movie Ambush Bug and Lobo, Ambush meets Chris Evan’s Lobo and tells him that Warner Bros. will treat him better than Marvel saying: “We will treat you better than those Scumbags down the street” and then Ambush then got punch back into the portal. This is Funny. 😂😂😂
The Thunderbolts roster in either movie sounds infinitely more interesting than the real life version lol The rebooted MCU is way better than the actual DCU lineup too
I love the switch up of Joss Wedon and Zach Snyder, definitely makes sense for this universe lol Also Benedict Cumberbatch being crazy is hilarious lol

The Movie will be Ant-Man and The Wasp in which follows Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne realizing Wolverine was part of The Avengers and They met Captain Carter in which the movie bombed at The Box Office because of the 2 Controversies.
During the reshoots, Chris Evans starred in Knives Out and Netflix told him not to shave his beard and Marvel decided to use a really BAD CGI on the Moustache and then The entire movie fumble HARD, ruining Whedon’s Vision.

With Feige at the helm, I don't think it'd be that different initially. Some X-Men and Spidey sprinkled in there, but not too much because there'd already have been 4 and 3 movies respectively. The big difference I think would be kicking off with a new Fantastic Four. But it would probably diverge big time in Phase 3.
Like I've seen people mocking DCEU's structure by comparing how the MCU would adapt it, but you went futher and elaborated a whole storyboard based on it. It's quite impressive and sad, because it makes you realize how awful and terrible the DCEU was. But gotta say, James Gunn reboot for Marvel looks exciting
And then it fumbled so bad, James Gunn took over Marvel, fired Chris Evans as Capt. America and then rebooting the entire Universe with a new actor (I think it would be Patrick Schwarzenneger). Meanwhile at DC, Dwayne Johnson got a Black Adam Trilogy.
Every so often i forget what type of video i was watching and i was like 'thats so dumb why would you make that decision' until i realise. oh, this is...this is what DC/warner bros did irl
Since Snyder is now ranting on interviews that he legits see DC's Superheroes as Gods who are above humans... yeah this alternate timeline for the MCU under Snyder is more accurate than intended. Indeed I see him turning Captain America into a straight up racist Fascist and Iron Man into a heartless Capitalist when you consider how much Snyder was influenced by his favorite author Ayn Rand, who he try to make a movie about Atlas's Shrugged before he went to make Rebel Moon instead. Just look at that one scene of the Mexicans all weirdly worshipping Superman for saving the burning factory, out of character for Superman to even allow people to worship him like a God (hence his whole stance against Darkseid) and just sacrilegious that people so attached to religion (especially in Hispanic Culture) to worship a human even if he had Super powers.
In this universe, Elektra would be played by Ana de Armas, who would eventually star in Walt Disney’s American Girl movie, which will release in the same day as Tim Burton’s Bohr to get revenge on Burton for leaving them for Universal. Whereas, Margot Robbie would collaborate with Ben Affleck for many movies and also getting nominated for Best Actress for her movie Blonde, which received backlash. Meanwhile, Disney will receive internet backlash in 2023 for shelving Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers, while also delaying Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief Pt. II starring Walker Scobell due to the Writer’s Strikes. Scobell would also play Brown, the prequel film to Back of the Future.
And also, in 2011, there was a Nova Movie that would star Ryan Gosling in which it was critically panned and he would go on to star as Ambush Bug in The well-structured DCEU due to his Comedic Acting. He would go on to star in Ambush Bug and Lobo with Ryan Hurst.
@ And in Ambush Bug and Lobo, Lobo would finally be in his comic look and it will get everyone hyped. Also, Ambush Bug will have a female counterpart that’s played by Eva Mendes
I don’t understand Snyders idea of “dark” (edgy), I’ve never gotten who thinks that realistic, edgy stories are full of people who are evil and don’t care about murder or their friends. One of the darkest, saddest books I’ve ever read is the memoir “One Soldiers War In Chechnya”. Its awful, so many terrible horrid things happen. But the main character and his friends aren’t some terrible people. They care about each other where they can, sacrifice sometimes their lives for each other and a generally decent enough people who are put in an awful inhuman situation and war. I think Snyder and a lot of people confuse edgy with dark/realistic.
I'd like to think that in this universe, Tom Hardy pissed in bottles on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road and insisted on staying at a five star hotel in the city, arriving to set in the desert six or seven hours late. Instead of feuding with Charlize Theron, he feuds with George Miller, and gets a bad reputation in Hollywood despite being a massive box office draw, which crumbles when his Venom film is released and it flops. Meanwhile, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson never shaves his head, spends less time in the gym, and thus achieves his true acting power. He is cast in a Sony-produced Black Adam film (with no Shazam) that does amazingly well off the back of Justice League: The Anti-Life War.
Funniest theoretical here is Tom Hardy insisting that Venom (2022) is going to change how Marvel works, that Venom is not allowed to be in any Spider-Man movies, and that he's super excited to fight Captain America and personally brings back Chris Evans back by sheer willpower and fame, Has one of the biggest marketing campaigns in Marvel history, only for Venom to slightly underperform and Tom Hardy insists it made a small profit.

At least Marvel and Sony have an excuse as to why Spiderman couldn’t show up in Venom

I’m a dc fan and I liked how in the video he made captain America unrecognizable as a character because believe it or not captain America is a like Superman when it comes to character.
Marvel did a better Superman than dc

I would love to see a video where you do a Marvel Movie Universe where marvel owned all their characters but it doesn’t follow the MCU structure which means iron man, captain America, Spider-Man, x men, and fantastic four and more all have trilogys, you can have tv series and movies at the same time like Hawkeye or Daredevil series during phase 2. And you can go pass 22 films in phase 1-3. Shung Chi, Black Panther and Captain Marvel can appear earlier in the universe.
I’d really like to see what he would come up with for that, along with one like it for DC
Like this comment so he can see this
He already did that
that would be awesome
He did it for the Infinity Saga, but not Multiverse
Okay, hear me out: while I loved almost everything about this video, instead of "Venom," I think we should have gotten "Morbius," starring Jared Leto as the equivalent to Black Adam. Think about it:
>Actor is self-obsessed and notoriously hard to work with, yet keeps getting roles
>Character is almost completely irrelevant without his archenemy, who is completely vacant from the movie
>Movie advertises itself as being about a gritty antihero, when it's really just about a slightly edgy hero
>Main villain ends up being a random character no one has ever heard of with a weird and kind of boring fight
Then just throw the Fantastic Four in for no reason and have Captain America show up at the end. Also, I'd kill off Mr. Fantastic instead, because he seems like he'd be the most interesting, and we wouldn't want a more interesting character than Morbius in his movie, now would we?
BURN.
I always thought that it would make more sense if spiderman no way home was the equivalent of the flash, basically being the first spider-man movie in the MEU and also having the task to reboot the whole thing
This is seriously the best way to make us Marvel fans understand the pain that DC fans endured
I feel like the Peacemaker show should have been a Deadpool show.

I think Captain America would win. The captain would pull through with pure determination.
@@SuperBatSpider Yeah but Venom is the come back king. For pete's sake, he fought his fricking creator.
The set up for his civil war movie makes more sense than the actual BvS conflict.
That's because the stakes of Captain America: Civil War IRL is less about life & death but more about the team's internal division...
Just look at the surnames: Jaime Reyes, Robbie Reyes...
Don't forger for the doctor strange movie the controversial desicion of having a CGI cameo of Bill Bixby (70s Bruce Banner) and a scene based on a cancelled movie.

With Feige at the helm, I don't think it'd be that different initially. Some X-Men and Spidey sprinkled in there, but not too much because there'd already have been 4 and 3 movies respectively.
Snyder turned nearly every DC Character into an edgy carbon copy of Bruce Wayne.
It took me way too long to realize that the Else World Doctor Doom movie was your Joker equivalent lol
