I thought the complete opposite when it came to frosting. So many other soapers told me that I needed to use mostly hard oils and butters in my frosting recipe. So thank you Katie! I'm testing my recipes now and had a little fun last night making my first 4 color swirl :) TD, Peacock & I Dream of Purple from Mad Micas and Blue Vibrance from Nurture. And then I mixed in some Super Sparkles bioglitter from Nurture too. And my swirl actually came out! Not muddied and pretty much how I pictured. Squee. Smells bomb too. I have you to thank for the most part. I've been watching you at least 4 years and your videos helped me a lot with learning the process. I received my Royalty Soaps (Tiffany Darling and Rose Clay) 2 days ago and I still CANNOT BELIEVE how amazing they are!!!! Thank you Katie!!! You've given me some spa time when I REALLY needed it!!!
We have a summer dessert here in Denmark called rødgrød med fløde (red porridge or pudding with cream) eller jordbærgrød (strawberry porridge or pudding with cream). It's basically strawberries you boil with a tiny bit of water with sugar. Once it's thickened you take it off the hat and let it cool completely (first to room temp and then in the fridge). You serve it ice cold with cream (not whipped cream) or milk on top. It's delicious and refreshing. You can also use leftover porridge/pudding for a stellar crumble.
Berries and cream are totally a dessert. Mum would cut up strawberries, sprinkle on some sugar then fold them into vanilla whipped cream. I think its called a Strawberry Fool. One of the best things from my childhood. :)
