Making an Abandoned Miniature Diorama to Film Cinematically | Resident Evil 7

- Today I make a diorama based on a scene from Resident Evil 7 with the goal of filming it cinematically. This piece is larger than my usual dioramas and I had a ton of fun designing it to have a dramatic lighting effect when I photographed it.

I will never understand why some people felt the need to thumbs down this video, makes absolutely ZERO sense.
Great job on the miniature.
This instantly made me want to replay Resident Evil 7, and that’s the biggest compliment I can give!
It first reminded me of evil dead, and resident evil 7 has a lot of evil dead inspiration
I thought the same 😍
Yeah same and that's a pretty big compliment in my case too because I didn't like that game.
Your email address please.. need to do some work with.
Same!
The only thing more impressive than his high attention to detail, is his extreme level of patience!!!
The attention to detail is absolutely amazing. If I didn't know this was a miniature diorama I would've believed this was a real place.
movies had this awesomeness back before CGI
@@NOONE-gv7xq hmm true
It's still visibly not a real place...
@@NOONE-gv7xq I'm pretty sure some still do now, just not as prominent.
You know when a miniaturist says 'for the sake of my sanity' it is always in relation to something repetitive like flooring or shingles 😄 I love seeing that you are doing a scene from resident evil. I have watched so many gamers play through the most recent game and I would love to do something based off of House Beneviento someday! So creepy! As always, your lighting in on point and it was worth every single plastic blind you glued on to get that effect!
Yeah, I haven’t played the new one yet but it looks cool. Appreciate it Ara! I just had to make this scene because I knew the lighting would be a ton of fun.
god I would love to see heisenberg's factory with his "failure" airplane head dude
That would be so cool!
Beneviento's house literally looks like a doll-house, adding more of that creepy effect.
@@AbandonedMiniatures Keep it up you might get a date **Whisper's** ( Make P.t by Silent hill )
Where I live, on a farm, there are a lot of abandoned farmhouses. One of the homesteads not far from us is very much the same as this piece of art, showing how someone was once there...but over the years its been ransacked and left. Well done on this amazing piece, and for the amount of effort you put into each piece.
It’s a shame that such places become vandalized and destroyed, they are so cool and beautiful. I appreciate it!
This game on PSVR is really unbelievable, the best the PSVR has to offer.
The insect parts especially EEK
Amazing! This is just stunning! The debris, the smoke, the broken blinds! All really comes together!
Thank you! So glad you like it
If David Fincher ever needs a dioramist for one of his movies I hope he finds you.
This has got to be my favorite. I don't even know where to begin. It is near perfect.
Very nice to see. Enjoy it!
Thanks so much!
The Venetian blinds are easily my favourite detail. The entire build is fantastic, but that one little detail is just over-the-top good. Outstanding!
Thanks!! The blinds and how I knew I could get the light to shine through them was the main reason I wanted to do this project.
Something that miniature is often used for in film is explosions and destruction - because nothing looks like a house blowing up like a house blowing up! Have you ever thought about something like that? I think it must be so hard (yet maybe so powerful) for people who spend hours on something to watch it get destroyed.
I have! I’m definitely thinking about doing something like that at some point. But there’s a lot to figure out for sure!
I always love watching you create. That peeled paint effect is so cool. You do an amazing job with lighting and swirling dusty air. Looking forward to the next.
Appreciate it!!
Don't stop doing this. This is crazy talent. One of the worst things in life is wasted talent. You have insain amounts of talent.
The diorama really reminds me of the abandoned house in the start of resident evil 7
oh, you noticed that too)
The peeled paint technique is *chefs kiss*.
This is absolutely REMARKABLE. We just couldn't believe what we were watching. Incredible work. 👏😍
you nailed it dude, don't give up your skills, like I did, smoked greeny, became lazy and forgot everything.
Thumbnail is pure magic. Your talent to make miniatures feel alive is truly incredible! And your voice is very soothing.😌 perfect channel!
So glad you’re enjoying the videos!
Wow! To think you only started during the Pandemic!? What a talent!
This will be watched over 100 million times by many people in the world.
Good job from Japan! ツ
Love the swirling smoke effect you get . The music gives the diorama a John Carpenter atmosphere .
Thank you!!
I was hoping you’d put the “go tell aunt rhody” theme song from RE7 in the end, but all good! Amazing work!
This is what I’ve been missing my entire life. Bro, take me under your wing! Teach me the ways! The idea’s and things you use(d) in your projects for background objects.. and the watered down ink for water damage. Absolute fu***ng genius! Amazing!!
Somehow the least miniature looking miniature. Looks freaking dope
The effort you put into all of your dioramas is absolutely phenomenal! Keep up the outstanding work!!
I really appreciate it!
WHERE'S THE ROACH POT AND THE DEAD BIRD IN THE MICROWAVE?!!! Those were TRAUMATIC and important details lol
Even close up , one could easily mistake this for a real movie set. If I were seeing it for the first time , I would certainly believe it were a real set. Just a stellar job !
The camera angle is what makes it so beautiful
It’s crazy just how realistic all of your projects turn out. Outstanding!
I would love to see the main room from Stranger Things where all of the Christmas lights were set up on the wall. 😎
His voice and Peter Draws ❤
So amazing! This game is seriously underrated. This first room you enter is so creepy and it's probably the least creepy thing you encounter in the game. There's so many details you added - the dusty fog and lighting was perfect.
Why haven’t I came across this channel before!!!! I’m so happy!
You deserve more recognition for your art!
At first it literally looked like it was from the game. Like you were playing the trailer or sum. Great work!
really realistic even in a close up shot. That's really impressive
Wow this guy won 🏆 he is the king of 3D Models...hands down I wish I knew how to do that I would have a bunch of different scenes but I would have characters to go along with it...
You should be in Hollywood as a miniature effects artist. They will definitely love you there. Great job on this.👍👍👍👍👍👍🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿👍👍👍👍👍
Within the first few minutes I was already shocked at how good those blu do looked....and you just starred!!! 😭 this is incredible.amazing work!!!
*window blinds
I was a model maker on "Titanic " and must say your work is superb.
As a toy photographer who heavily relies on realistic lighting effects to sell an illusion, this is the kind of diorama i dream about! Christ the stuff i could do with this 😍😍😍 beautiful work👏
Always love it when a new video pops up in my feed from Abandoned Miniatures. I'm always impressed by what you make.
That’s great to hear! Thank you!
i like the soft suspenseful music in the background. not too intrusive, yet keeps you subconciously engaged
If I had watched this I would've thought this was real. Great Job!!
the peeled paint and the torn wall covers are on the next level! It's like looking my house's current state.
Before I even saw the rest of the title I was like yep that’s the house from RE7
Great job. The taps are the only thing that make it look like a model. Everything else looks great.
I have visited hundreds of abandoned houses. This is so freaking spot on! Luv it!!
All I can say is: perfect, perfect, and perfect!!!! 😳😳
I had just finished playing Village so I was excited to see this. I played Bio Hazard but it's been a moment, this however took me back to that play!! Great, as always job!! Love it!!
I played the first 15 min of the game and quit! Its not the RE im used to!
@@robd1329 its better
Michelle what system you play on I play on ps5
In high school I got an 'A' for the semester mainly because of the diorama I made of the property I lived on (we all had to make those, a diorama of where we live). This video is very cool.
You can see the apocalyptic Atmosphere hanging in this house. Good job Sir
This is resident evil 7 kitchen AMAZING
Wow, that diorama looks totally inspired in my kitchen, dude.
This is about the coolest thing I've ever seen
Genius of texturing
Soooo wonderful! I love the blinds, exploded books, yucky sink, box of powder…those little details are marvelous. Seems like just the right amount of detritus. One suggestion is remember old furniture and pottery is not only dirty but often chipped or cracked. Thanks for another enthralling video!
I find your patience and attention to detail mesmerizing.
Hours of work, minutes to watch. That was beautiful
Awesomme. Its like a real room, like you are standing there
Well done! I know because my heart quickened with a sense of foreboding. Dark.
How cool, it's exactly the same, it's so, so cool !.
You are so creative and gifted. I spend 2 weeks making a house out of popsicles. My son got a failing grade
Fantastic work. Took me right back to the first time I saw it in VR.
The realism is amazing!
One of my favorite video games. So happy to see it recreated as a diorama. Great work!
You showed us so many detail techniques that would've taken us so many hours to accomplished thank you.
Wow! No words! Just WOW!
I’m speechless! Simply amazing!
loved what you did with the paper on the wall. great work
there are people like this guy.. and there's me who cant evenly paint a door.. subbed..
Nice, I was thinking 'Sweet this looks like the baker family kitchen' before knowing its supposed to be that. You did really well!
The peeling paint technique is sheer genius!
I thought i saw those chairs from your past video!! This is brilliant! I love you RE!!!! 😍😍😍
I do miniatures, but I'm always trying to get everything looking clean, fresh and new. I think I'm going to try a vignette or a room box similar to yours as an exercise in how to let go of trying to be perfect. This creation of yours is stunning in its realism. I showed your opening to several people and they thought it was a full-sized abandoned house. Awesome, dude!
You should definitely give it a try! Thank you!
Amazing, its like some room in the game resident evil and some kind another VR horror game
Crazy how our eyes immediately pickup and our brain understands the room isn’t real
this use for a special effects of a movie scene ...great work.
That is awesome. Can't tell the difference between the game and your irl creation!
Dude, you are sick! Your works look very realistic and very atmospheric.
The shooting quality is just incredible! Very expensive equipment and you really know how
work with him. Background music is perfect! I don't understand why you have so few subscribers. I will wait for the next video. I wish you development and many views!
Thanks so much! I appreciate it. Working hard to grow
Far out man these are legit!
Thanks man! Just watched your Minas Tirith video the other day, so awesome!
@@AbandonedMiniatures Thanks mate :)
Every single detail in this diorama looks perfect! The camera angels were definitely on point, awesome job bro!
This is amazing, so much detail. I love resident evil and recently discovered the joy these diorama creations give me.
The attention to detail is one to one, well done sir.
Randomly suggested this channel... Instant subscriber... I didn't know that I liked Diagrama's until about 20 seconds ago... Haha... This is awesome AF!
So glad you found me!
While I don't really care for miniatures, this was on my suggested and I have to say; very nice job!
BEAUTIFUL
Dang dude that wasn't not that bad. Keep trying you definitely can pick up the eye for art. We can tell you tried your hardest and it's actually pretty decent. Keep it up!
Holly crap that looks amazing!!!! I’m surprised you didn’t print off a bathtub with all the work you did and mabey a little foot in a chain! Lol looks amazing man! Keep it up!
congratulations, you are the best I have seen in my life, and I think that nobody exceeds your level of detail
@ Abandoned Miniatures you are a true artist my friend and I'm so glad I ran across your channel. I subscribed immediately. Fixing to start watching all your videos. Thank you for posting them!
Amazing. I just replay RE7 your work really cool. I love it.
That looks amazing.
I dont know how you do it. I mean i have watched you do it and i am still amazed each time.
I Looked at the thumbnail didn't even open the video yet and i was looking at the window and i mumbled, "This had to be Resident evil 7" even though i never played the game but wish i could, Then i open the video and almost fell When i Somehow knew it was Resident Evil 7. So this is a Big Compliment and a thank you from me, i will be purchasing this game that i forgot about thx so much.
This is super cool! I love making miniatures, but most miniatures I’ve seen from people are cutesy stuff. As a horror fan, THIS is so amazing!
So glad you enjoy it!
Resident Evil 7 one of my favorite video games this looks fantastic!
Ridiculous talent and meticulous crafting Bro!
I haven't even played Resident Evil, but this could easily fit into a scene in other games such as DARQ (if it were in daylight) and Little Nightmares. Amazing work.
Total respect man....you're a master! Just plain freaking awesome!!!
