Listen her interview, she was initiated into Hindustani (North Indian) music since childhood by her grandfather and took lessons from her aunt and the greatest Violin Maestro of Hindustani music, Dr. N. Rajam Ji. She is not expert in South Indian Music, She is expert in Hindstani classical for which she learnt under her guru Pt. Jasraj ji.
Her family is from South India but it doesn't have any effect on her music.

@@jyotisampat3246 Yes Jyoti, I hope you are aware of her aunt Dr. Rajam as well. Kalaji's music has sweetness and Dr. Rajam's music has seriousness both great in their leagues. You should listen to some of the renditions of Dr. Rajam. Recently She (Dr. Rajam) was in news because of her violin recital(Raag Darbari Kanada) making a woman come out of coma in Kolkata.

The notes provided here by "Music Today" for Kala Ramanth do not mention that the bandish used by Kala Ramnath for Chhaya Nut comes from Rampur-Sahasvan Gharana and exemplified by Ustad Nisar Hussain Khan's rendition of it together with his son, grandsons and son-in-law Hafeez Khan, and available on RUclips for all to see. Kala Ramnath of course is a superb Violinist, and here she performs Ustad Nisar Hussain Khan's Bandish with great feeling and sweetness. What an amazing artist is Kala Ramnath. I have had occasion to listen to her live, both in public performances and in private Mehfils.
