Don't forget, the fact that "SUPER" takes place in the ten year time skip is a contradiction in of itself since the ten year time skip was ment to be times of peace and the events of "SUPER" was anything but that. If it had taken place after "Z" then it wouldn't be an issue.

I like to think that dragon Ball Super takes place in another timeline similar to the one we left off in 1996. In one timeline after Buu is dealt with, Goku and the others enjoyed 10 years of peace. In another timeline, we got dragon ball super. Let me explain. Trunks traveled back to the past 3 times during dragon ball z. Once to give Goku the cure he needed for his virus, the second time to check on everyone after the 3 year time skip, and finally after he dealt with the Androids in his timeline, but here's the thing. Another future Trunks was supposed to go back in time to tell the others that the Androids were destroyed, but he gets killed by Cell and his time machine is taken back 4 years before the Androids were supposed to become a threat. In dragon Ball Super, Gowasu and Zamasu see 4 green time rings which means that there are 4 different timelines plus the main timeline. Those 4 green time rings represent how many times someone altered the timelines. GT isn't cannon, but could theoretically be one of those alternate timelines. Dragon ball z where we see Goku fly away with Uub could be a timeline. Dragon ball super is also a different timeline. Trunks returning back in time to warn the others of Black, is the last timeline. Dragon Ball Super might not be a retcon. It just may be a different timeline with similar events and a different outcome for age 784.

I'm very interested to see where Super goes in the manga and anime together. Especially now with the Moro arc because we are getting closer to the end of the ten year time skip. I would have to guess around year 6 to 8 is where its at now with Moro. So it will be cool to see what they do when that time comes to pass Z. We still have to deal with what they will do with Uub if anything and so many more questions too. Like will we see Broly come help Goku and Vegeta at some point. Or any of the other universes getting involved again. All I have to say is whatever villain comes after Z and the end of Super is going to be ridiculously powerful the likes of which we have never seen or thought of in the whole Dragon Ball universe and that is kinda scary to thing of since we have already seen powerhouses like Frieza, Hit, Jiren, and Broly hahaha
The entirety of DBS is probably somewhere within 2-3 years, nowhere close to 6 or 8. In the anime, Super starts a little after 6 months kid buu was defeated, and a while after that Beerus comes to earth. Pan is born a short while after, and she is around 2-3 by the TOP

Sorry for late reply but toriyama has retconed end of z he did the same thing with the movies and gt. When end of z was canon the old broly movies were canon and in those movies broly dies wich is why there's no mention of him. Also the pilaf gang doesn't turn back into kids in gt that was goku that was turned into a kid but even back then pilaf and his gang being old shouldn't be real since in the dragon ball manga after the cell saga pilaf wishes for him and his gang to turn into kids. And finally frieza is actually dead in gt showing that he hadn't been revived in the 10 year timeskip. So to sum it all up end of z is pretty much retconed just like gt and the old dbz movies

Yeah. To be honest I think they will retcon the end of Z to make it match super a lot more. It would be cool if the kept going from there.
