Now that I think about it, with the random ass transformations every character gets in Heroes I'm surprised we didn't see "Black Freeza" in this anime before the DBS manga.
They're probably given certain directives with how popular (and profitable) the Dragonball property is. My bet is no new transformations for current universe characters. That's why it's Cooler, Bojack, Future Gohan, GT 'Xeno' Goku, SSJ God Future Trunks, and a bunch of random new characters getting transformations.
The fact that there's a cohesive story actually makes me want to get into Super Dragonball heroes! At first I didn't really care for it because I thought it was just random fights with random OP characters but it seems pretty interesting.
come play Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle. We've got these characters! It's suuuuper confusing as there's no real story events to play out the fights, but yeah. Once a year super heroes banner, worthwhile to save up f2p stones for it. I do like the absurd damage SS3 Xeno Vegeta does. Shame I couldn't pull Super Hearts.
It has a storyline, but it lowkey actually just is random OP characters fighting. I advise you; do not watch this show for the plot, or your head will explode.
I like the part where someone took all the planets, somehow pushed them together despite their gravity, found a chain and lock big enough, wrapped it around several planets multiple times, and put a giant key lock on it.

It kinda seems fun tbh, it's weird and timeline wise very confusing and tbh the manga with Moro and now Black Frieza is the more interesting timeline (especially since thats the timeline/goku we've been following since DB) but this doesnt hurt the franchise I think it gives some fun fan service and kinda shows that Toei don't know how to write as good as Toriama and Toyotaro but hey 10 year old me would've loved this shit so more power to it I think

Heroes is so batshit insane you can’t help but love it. It makes absolutely no sense. The power scaling is…somehow even more crazy than the regular series. The characters are hilarious. It’s as if they let someone write a fanfic and animated it.
I like how this anime finally gave Vegeta something brand new, the evil saiyan awakening form or whatever it's being called. Makes me think of the super manga's ultra ego, but from a different source.
I have not finished the video, but the manga has a few more arcs before prison planet. The story is explained a bit better with more dialog between fights. I recommend checking the manga first then maybe the anime. The anime skips most plot and dumps us into the fanfic fights. It is a fun series once we understand what is actually happening. I think xenoverse 3 could use pieces of this for story.
Honestly Xeno is a good idea, but man they do love reworking well known characters juuuuussst a little bit to pass them off as new. Having Trunks working under the Kai of Time is perfect and should absolutely be canon, him messing up the timelines so hard should absolutely have led to his well "arrest". And they should only have characters that actually broke the timelaws. So like Cell and Zamatsu. Would be a fun trio, Trunks super seriousness, Zamatsus over dramatic personality and Cell being that extreme smug dude we saw in Fighterz. And actually go to different timelines that doesn't include earth. I mean gosh darn, How can THE ENTIRE HISTORYS PROBLEM be connected to the Z-fighters. It would be perfect to let us view actual new content from the past.
So to summarise: There was a powerful enemy but then you find out that it was really enemy B that was behind A, but oh no! It's enemy C that was tge true enemy! Or not! Skadoosh enemy D! Enemy E! We got more!

There is a single thing I actually regret amidst the endless sea of mediocrity and utter non-sense the SDBH anime ended up being... Hearts was a very interesting concept. When DBS started, we were introduced to a new realm of power with the Hakaishins, Angels and Zen-o, as well as to the way these gods handle the different worlds. Now it was and still is pretty jank, but something was set-up. And Hearts asked a very interesting question. Why can't mortals be free? Why do they have to bow to the mostly invisible threat of the gods, who according to the Tournament of Power, are doing a very poor job at helping their respective universes grow? What cost is acceptable to free mortals from the gods' grip? There's so much that could have been done, instead we got what? A single speech on Hearts' dying bed with absolutely 0 repercussions because everyone refuted it as non-sense immediately. Way to go SDBH.
Reviewing the whole series like this felt more cohesive and engaging than watching the individual eps as they were released 😂 Hope you can make another similar video once the anime progresses a little further.

Man I have no problem with them starting off the series but for The love of God please change future trunks hair back to purple please don’t make him into the scrawny little boy I’m pretty sure he’s at least like 30 years old and super. This guy or the writers literally don’t know future trunks. He is the one character who should have kept his body in top shape especially after all those androids and villains killing people. He should know he should be training people in the future and if you can’t see the fact that he can’t relax in his timeline and he can’t just allow himself to be the only Z fighters they may be deserves some of the stuff he gets. He honestly should have taught Mai how to fly and fight. He also should be reproducing since he is part Saiyan and I’d love to see you more characters.
Purple hair trunks was goat! He was way more badass in dbz and when he went "super trunks" he was massive! Man had long hair and huge muscles. I think the writers tried to make him more marketable to kids but come on he is so much less intimidating now!

i found most of sdbh fights boring not because its short its because the two fighting characters always using ki blast that pissed me off edit:in fact this shows pissed me off for some reason

The non-xeno Goku and Vegeta as well as their universe is not the "basic" from the main series. They're what's often called the CC or Capsule Corp. Universe. From what i understand to this universe the Movies (including the Super Movies) happened while the story followed the Classic-DBZ-Super timeline until Fuu appears after their Tournament of Power. So these Goku, Vegeta, etc. are different from the main universe 7 Goku and Vegeta.
About the dark king mechikabura saga The only way to understand this saga is only via reading the manga and playing the game on switch. I even think is much better than the story of the super dragon ball heroes anime.

Man I have no problem with them starting off the series but for The love of God please change future trunks hair back to purple please don’t make him into the scrawny little boy I’m pretty sure he’s at least like 30 years old and super. This guy or the writers literally don’t know future trunks. He is the one character who should have kept his body in top shape especially after all those androids and villains killing people. He should know he should be training people in the future and if you can’t see the fact that he can’t relax in his timeline and he can’t just allow himself to be the only Z fighters they may be deserves some of the stuff he gets. He honestly should have taught Mai how to fly and fight. He also should be reproducing since he is part Saiyan and I’d love to see you more characters.
Purple hair trunks was goat! He was way more badass in dbz and when he went "super trunks" he was massive! Man had long hair and huge muscles. I think the writers tried to make him more marketable to kids but come on he is so much less intimidating now!

The non-xeno Goku and Vegeta as well as their universe is not the "basic" from the main series. They're what's often called the CC or Capsule Corp. Universe.
From what i understand to this universe the Movies (including the Super Movies) happened while the story followed the Classic-DBZ-Super timeline until Fuu appears after their Tournament of Power. So these Goku, Vegeta, etc. are different from the main universe 7 Goku and Vegeta.
