    Thanks for advice on deletion all old partitions. I didn't do that before (I reused main SSD on new mobo) and after a week windows updatea bricked my PC.
    I hope I won't encounter any problems now

    You don’t have to enter bios settings to change the boot order. On msi you can turn on your pc or restart it and spam F11 to enter a one time boot menu. Select your usb and bam. Does asus not have a one time boot menu?

    • @KLEEBZTECH

      As far as I know most boards do. I just prefer to go into the BIOS myself.

    Do you have to delete those other partitions? I always get scared at this part, you don’t format anything here right? You just click on the drive you want and that’s it? Did you have to delete the recovery drive? I just don’t understand this. I feel stupid. I don’t know what to do. I have one nvme ssd, and one sata ssd. It’s not gonna mess up anything deleting all those drives? Why does the 465 drive have 400 gb of free space? Isn’t there windows on it? This where I’m confused I think. How can you install windows on that drive if there’s one already on it? Do you have to format it like I was saying? Why didn’t the drive 0 disappear when you deleted it ? It just back to unallocated space

    • @Pedro94-dp
      @Pedro94-dp 10 месяцев назад +2

      Don't mess up anything just clean everything you have on the drive. With you don't have any backup, it's better to delete all partitions. But with you have any backup you can choose what you want to delete

    • @mohiadinhassanshismail8330
      @mohiadinhassanshismail8330 2 месяца назад

      First and for most, you have to make backup; you have to make a partition where your data is on before you make clear install. The other thing i want to tell you is that unallocated space (Drive) has its recovery, system and local disk partition. When you delete other partitions, they are on the old drive, but unallocated space has its drive complete, you just to keep if you make a partition whichs on your data where you enter the data before installation.

      You may have missed the warnings at the start that specified to back up any data on the drives being used if you want to keep them. But I would also suggest it is best to get the latest drivers from the support website since those would be the most up to date ones to use.

      @@KLEEBZTECH so last question, if I fiddled with some internal OS settings while on windows 10, and I feel like those changes screwed some things up, would doing the automated upgrade to windows 11 in settings reset those settings back to normal? Or would those screwed up settings carry over with the automated upgrade? In other words do I need to do this “clean install” method to truly wipe the settings clean back to normal

    • @KLEEBZTECH
      @KLEEBZTECH  Год назад

      It may or may not. I think it could depend on the settings. But you could do the upgrade and then do the Reset this PC option. You can then have it keep your files but reset Windows itself to default.

    I need to ask, I'm currently trying to reinstall windows 11 on my laptop cause I tried the insiders preview, and the only way to get out of the preview quickly is by reinstalling a clean version of windows.

    • @KLEEBZTECH

      When you select "Load driver" you would then need to point it to the driver needed for it to read your SSD drive. It sounds like it does not read the drive because it needs the driver for it.

    • @KLEEBZTECH
      @KLEEBZTECH  Год назад +1

      You will need to go to the support site for the laptop if it is the same drive that came with it and get the driver needed. Then you can point it to that so it should see the drive.

So I ended up going back and using Pro, buying a cheap key, then de-bloating. So annyoying that is even neccessary. But we have to deal with reality, not What Ifs....
