    I remember the play at 3:20, I was watching and he was having a really rough defensive game and then suddenly dropped that insane move. Feels like a microcosm of him as a player.

    I believe whoever picks him is getting a gem and those that don't and need a defenseman especially a right side d will forever regret not picking him.

    Could be the next Brent Burns but reversed. Switch him from D to forward

      Yup! I've been saying this for months, he'd be a Top-5 pick on every list if he was a winger 😅

    David, if you have time, can you please make a video covering Alexis Lafreniere’s evolution this year. Would love to hear your analysis on how he changed his game to become a more effective player in the NHL. Thank you.

      As an ottawa fan I worry that the team who's defense has been shit since EK, left won't be able to develop his defensive capabilities.

    One day the nhl will be 3 fwds and 1 dfd, and the other dman playing as a 4th fwd, i hope my team jumps on that trend early before its too late.

      We won't be posting it, unfortunately. Our final list is not made in the same way (multiple small meetings instead of one big and it's a bit more serious so we don't record them). But we may have livestreams and podcasts before the draft.

    Would like him to do something else than feint left and backhand shot, he's a kind of predictable, or one (or two) trick pony. He looks slow on the ice, his hands are not so quick, his moves are not so quick, he miss overall speed, would like to see him to be more dynamic. But he have the size and he's a RHD, and effectively show enough talent to carry the puck and project in a top four unit, the high numbers are also there. It worth certainly a mid/late first round pick. Big RHD usually excite me but for this one its tought to get into the train of a beginning of first, but second round very excited. Look forward to see where he'll go on the board, its plenty of very good RHD this year, so not sure if they will be picked higher like the other years, its really rare to see this, but year is a very good year to refill your right side on defence.

    The more I dissect his game, the more I feel that he is going top 5. Pronman has him top 3 and I am seeing why with every game i watch.

    • @Jmulk96
      @Jmulk96 Месяц назад

      3 is just ridiculous and i don’t know how people still take Pronman seriously. I personally wouldn’t touch him until about 45, he’s so deficient in so many key areas, the highs are high but not rlly translatable and the lows are super low. He’s s huge risk with basically zero floor. A top pick on him would be absolutely ridiculous

  • @Polentaccio

    I'm worried about the Defensive coverage gaps..i know we need and want a right D but do we need another guy loose in our own end and dangling at the blueline? This ain't junior, you have guys that will expose you every shift. At least this kid looks like he will play the body. That is what we need, a guy willing to crush guys and impose physicality.

  • @Jmulk96
    @Jmulk96 Месяц назад +4

    I’m not a big believer, he seems like he’s only really ‘dominating’ due to his superior size and hands rather anything going on in his brain. He will struggle when he has to think the game and when he has to be planned. Also don’t think the offence he plays is all to translatable especially with his less tan ideal skating.

    • @jaysonteixeria195
      @jaysonteixeria195 4 дня назад

      Definitely not transferrable, as an Ottawa fan I'm pissed. His highlights look great but those kinda plays never happen in the NHL. Like who cares he can dangle CHL players, if your NHL Dman is making stupid dangles all the time he's gonna get benched quickly.

    • @joshlasky8138
      @joshlasky8138 4 дня назад +3

      As an ottawa fan myself im stoked and think your writing kid off wayy too soon@jaysonteixeria195

    • @jaysonteixeria195
      @jaysonteixeria195 4 дня назад +1

      @joshlasky8138 I'm not writing him off I'm stating my opinion. Alot of his skills he excels at aren't skills that are really used in the NHL. He's not gonna be able to dangle like that and also get those positions for his wristers to get through. Those highlights u never see in the NHL for a reason. His physical play at least is useful but he doesn't skate well which is like the main requirement as a Dman. Seriously what elite dman in the league rn can't skate well? Terrible IQ too so he cant make up for the lack of wheels with his brain and stick. Hopefully he works out but with guys like Catton, Buium, Silayev, Dickinson I don't get the reach here.

      @@jaysonteixeria195sens were gonna take a rhd, so it was only between him and Parekh. Only time will tell but I’ve never seen a 6’3 defensemen dangle like that. Could be a unicorn type player w/ sandy or easily fill out a top 4. Only time will tell

  • @bajjanitor
    @bajjanitor Месяц назад

    Looks like Aaron Ekblad of this year. Fantastic wrist shot for a defenseman and physical, but slow as shit and a terrible rush defender. Should be an enticing talent for teams that have someone that they think can shore up his weaknesses, like how Forsling can carry Ekblad even against tough opponents.
