    from what I have seen on you tube drag racing carbon fiber drive shafts can explode at launch from the starting line
    .has anyone looked into building a drive shaft out of titanium?

      Aluminum is lighter than titanium, so there's that... Probably find more weight in the brake rotors and wheels if you're dead set on lowering rotation mass.

      ​ @rustyshackleford81 titanium is heavier than aluminum but stronger so you need less of it. same thing as cast iron vs steel. that's why titanium is used so much in the aerospace industry.

      @@weskirkland5850but if that thing snaps it’s going to take a lot more parts with it unlike a carbon one where it saves everything because it turns into a mesh/broom material when it snaps

      @@mojojoji5493 Aluminum is 66% lighter than titanium... I don't care how you feel about it, it is what it is.
