"ah yes, the great economic crash of 2020" "everyone will be recieving university education over the internet" these are all starting to hit too close to home
Doing some quick investigating: Brazil has a population of about 200 million, represented by 20,000 pops in-game. The nuke killed 10,000 pops, meaning that single nuke killed 100,000,000 real life people.
i dont mean to be offtopic but does anybody know a way to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost my password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me
@Braylen Abraham Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
The Peace Symbol is based on the semaphore for "N" and "D", with the intended meaning of "Nuclear Disarmament" - so the flag of Nice Korea, which includes a goal of keeping the nuclear armament alive, is hot pink nuclear disarmament. Excellent branding choice.
If there's one thing we've proven about ourselves here in the US, if we did split into multiple countries, we'd do nothing but fight each other. We're better as a psychopathic whole instead of a psychopathic many.
Jon the last time the US tried to split apart it didn't go so well. Something about the deadliest war in american history. Also North Korea best Korea.
The real divisions exist between rural and urban with urban places being more liberal. Many states have both Republicans and Democrats in Congress. Splitting up would not solve any problems, even though it is large, all Americans share some sort of cultural identity.
being the deadliest in american history is a stat that should have an asterisk next to it. When only Americans can die of course it'll be the deadliest
Fun fact; Subbotnik was the idea of free work in the Soviet Union after the October Revolt. Essentially having it in North Korea just fits well. Also Russia did not take all of Poland because they just wanted to unify Kaliningrad with Rusia.
There were some mistakes in execution. The southern landowners who sold the lie to poorer and less educated southerners that the war was really about states rights, and not so they could keep their slavery, were allowed to remain rich and influential rather than summaraily being executed. Allowing these people to reassume a place of power and authority relatively unchecked was ultimately a poison pill for the country that led to many of our problems today.
Slavery was an important issue, but not as important as people think. It would be wrong to look at the issue with a modern outlook on slavery, even Lincoln didn't really care about the slaves rights.
History is written by the winners. History breaks down to His - story. I'm not going to go into a wall of text but our media is hyping up what is going on in America. Their is far more reasonable people than what our media shows. Also, Lincoln Freed the slaves because of needing military numbers. It is well documented.
@CallanSammets I don't necessarily agree with that, after reading 'A Team of Rivals' by Doris K. Goodwin (later turned into a Spielberg film), it's clear that Lincoln went so far as to jeopardy public support as well as the offer of complete Confederate surrender in order set up conditions in Congress that would allow the 13th Amendment to pass. The misconception that Lincoln did not care about the issue of slavery comes from one of his early speeches when he told the nation that he would 'welcome the slaves back in chains' in order to try and win the loyalty of the border states.
That's a valid point, but Lincoln did say in his last speech that he thought that the well-educated African-Americans should be given the right to vote so I think that he at least wanted to move towards full equality. Full equality and total enfranchisement were very radical ideas at the time though.
So basically your channels about playing political strategy games. Neat, I’ll check out more videos. And you’re right, it’s very possible we’d be happier as three different countries.
I actually like this 2222 scenario it lets you build up with lots of freedom as Mexico I just needed to invade Yucatan and from then on a few other small 1 province countries, huge amounts of money started rolling in and I made a huge army, and kinda conquered huge parts of the US and also got the province of Deeponia and fought the aliens and have annexed Jupiter and Europa and another moon I can't remember the name of, I had gotten my hands into a time machine with which I got early supersoldiers
on the subject of what they are calling Mashriq or something, it actually isn't isis it is a state originally founded by the Kurds and is looking to be a nonsecular, America aligned democracy that is hell-bent on killing terrorists.
Evan Alexander Kind of a stupid decision to make, I'll agree. But it's also ridiculous how few people know Rojava even exists or the current Rojavan/Turkish conflict.
Agreed. It is easily one of the more hot-button phenomena in the middle east given its potential to give America an amazing & agile ally while also having the potential to demolish US-Turkey relations to a point of possibly irreparable damage.
I don't think he knows about the feature where you can just hover over the enemy army and see how powerful each type of unit is. Numbers don't mean anything in the game if your military is outdated.
Insert-name-here I'm from Newfoundland, and yeah, that threw me too. I guess the devs said "We need a future Canada, let's split it in half and call it a day!"
Screw that, we'll set out on our own with New Brunswick and P.E.I! We have oil, trees, uh... potatoes, what more does a great nation need? We'll call it 'New Acadia' or something, whaddya say me old son?
Is there's an oil, opium wars methods in this game, or supporting opposition parties in other countries, embargoes, common markets, closed and open borders ...etc?
"...conquer the japanese island of Kiusiu (Kyushu)... sorry i am probably not pronouncing it right..." actually for once you pronounced something right. in fact the game has it written incorrectly so in a way you corrected the game itself. good job
Hey, on the Green Energy focus, Best Korea has a focus on being as self-sufficient as possible because, you know, nobody wants to trade with them. So they have a national policy of self reliance, and green energy focus isn't too far of a reach.
lol, the USSR and America set off several hundred nuclear explosions without the effects described by this game. Nuclear winter would require pretty much every one of the worlds nukes.
Matt Hunter I think the implication is that nukes are far more powerful in the timeline of the game and multiple nukes might be fired for every one nuke resource. The other factor to take into account is that global warming may have already damaged the environment and lowered the radiation levels required for a nuclear winter to begin.
First no really wow! I have been waiting for this game forever ! sadly I don’t play it anymore because I moved on to HOI4! Jon notice me! Omg JON NOTICED ME . I have Blessed!
Gleb 777 I'm trying to play HOI4 but for some reason I just can't do it efficiently and get overwhelmed, do you any pointers for me I really want to get into this game like I did with Civilization IV and V
Brendan Mills start of easy maybe start as a major nation conquer territory you think is not too impossible to conquer play as that nation for a bit and then change nations. Also if you just start playing play in recruit difficulty . So just slowly progress your way up and watch some tutorials if you wish!
well considering south korea has an actual economy and most likely modern tanks, against a bunch of farmers with cold war russian tanks, wich are not bad, nowhere near a new age MBT
Splitting the union of the United States into multiple parts was the largest catastrophe in the nation's history. I don't feel like people would be as happy as you think. The wonderful thing about the states is just how different they are. Texas is another universe from Oregon, and it's amazing people from Mississippi and Connecticut can even communicate with one another. It's my favorite thing about my country that even so, we are all Americans.
everyone keeps bringing up the civil war like that wasn't a hundred-odd years ago with very different circumstances. obviously there'd be loads of problems, but i can't help but think that those who would live in the split non-US would be a lot happier than being forced to be a part of a country a lot of people have come to truly hate.
M W FYI: The Bill of Rights was even longer ago and in even more different circumstances. The nation made a mistake, an egregious error and we learned an unforgettable lesson. The fact that it was our great great grandfather's war instead of ours doesn't change that. You are wrong, and you vastly underestimate the love most Americans have for their country, their whole country.
"ah yes, the great economic crash of 2020" "everyone will be recieving university education over the internet" these are all starting to hit too close to home
So, this is the story of Kim *Jon* Un? :P
Alexis Auld underappreciated comment
Alexis Auld well done my friend
nice :)
*BA DUM TSS
Alexis Auld woo woo we have a funny guy
"Crash of 2020", Jon's a time traveler!!!
I'm from the future too and that's a totally real thing
Changes the name of the country to Nice Korea, the first mission the game throws at you is called "No more Mr. Nice Guy"...
Doing some quick investigating: Brazil has a population of about 200 million, represented by 20,000 pops in-game. The nuke killed 10,000 pops, meaning that single nuke killed 100,000,000 real life people.
Sounds legit.
Well those 100,000,000 people shouldn't have been all standing in the one area they nuked.
WelshZeCorgi lmfao🤣
Dios Mio
“I have become Death the destroyer of worlds,”
"We'll just liberalise, and hopefully we can keep the nukes if we're just a little - OOH Lazers!"
Way to liberalise, Jon
Rainbow Ninja yep. definitely pulled a Khrushchev.
"it's just the great crash of 2020"- Oh John, if only you knew.
i dont mean to be offtopic but does anybody know a way to log back into an instagram account??
I was dumb lost my password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me
@Jonas Colt instablaster =)
@Braylen Abraham Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process atm.
Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
@Braylen Abraham it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much, you saved my ass :D
@Jonas Colt you are welcome =)
The Peace Symbol is based on the semaphore for "N" and "D", with the intended meaning of "Nuclear Disarmament" - so the flag of Nice Korea, which includes a goal of keeping the nuclear armament alive, is hot pink nuclear disarmament. Excellent branding choice.
”Let’s make North Korea great and peaceful!”
“I really need to be totalitarian again so I can send nukes in offence...”
*Declares new world-friendly revolution of country.*
*Begins discussing the downfall of potential ally 3 minutes later.*
Nothing makes me more happy than Jon trying to run a country
From the future, I can say that receiving a college education over the internet is not very utopian
Post-WW3: France, Germany, Spain, US, Canada--all split up.
Italy? Fine.
Makes sense to me! XD
There are a LOT of problems under the surface in Germany...
I'm sure. But Italy united at about the same time, so they're as disunited as Germans, if not more.
Maybe italy just decided to not join WW3,which is why they are in good shape.
Let's be real, France surrendered the moment it started
Cornwall not independent?! Pre-order cancelled!
Cornwall could never be an independent state. They need the population diversity, or be ravaged by genetic disease
@@MrJimmyd500 it's called a joke
Please make this a series Jon, I absolutely love it
“It’s just the bloody crash of 2020, eh?”
Oh 2018 Jon, you have no idea what’s coming...
If there's one thing we've proven about ourselves here in the US, if we did split into multiple countries, we'd do nothing but fight each other. We're better as a psychopathic whole instead of a psychopathic many.
TC Sam And proud psychopaths* we are
TC Sam the good news is that California would probably lose at everything
better for you maybe
To be honest, if the US splits and fights each other, at least they will not constantly start wars at the rest of the world?
Watch out, we got a badass over here.......
Jon the last time the US tried to split apart it didn't go so well. Something about the deadliest war in american history.
Also North Korea best Korea.
Did you mean Nice Korea?

being the deadliest in american history is a stat that should have an asterisk next to it. When only Americans can die of course it'll be the deadliest
The deadliest war in American history isn't that worrying of a statement, considering the US history is around 300 years or so
West Korea is best Korea
If only Jon were in charge of North Korea I could fulfill my dream of becoming a super mutant or at least a feral ghoul.
Fun fact; Subbotnik was the idea of free work in the Soviet Union after the October Revolt. Essentially having it in North Korea just fits well.
Also Russia did not take all of Poland because they just wanted to unify Kaliningrad with Rusia.
If anyone was doubting that Jon wouldn't start a war just remember, Jon, Jon never changes...
We tried splitting apart and 600,000+ people died, probably best we all stick together...
There were some mistakes in execution. The southern landowners who sold the lie to poorer and less educated southerners that the war was really about states rights, and not so they could keep their slavery, were allowed to remain rich and influential rather than summaraily being executed.

"It's just the bloody crash of 2020 Aye" hits different in 2020
Hey l really liked the video and l found your channel a few months ago and l really like it
THAT FLAG IS HIDEOUS
Say the flag is nice or be beaten into submission by your nice rulers. ☮️
Catalonia is independent in the 2050 scenario
on the subject of what they are calling Mashriq or something, it actually isn't isis it is a state originally founded by the Kurds and is looking to be a nonsecular, America aligned democracy that is hell-bent on killing terrorists.
so ya kind of the opposite of isis
Probably would've been more obvious if they'd named it Rojava
ya. i question the devs/designers decisions there.

Hold the fuck on. Nova Scotia is in the republic of Quebec?! What kind of lunacy is this? I would not be caught dead in a nation ruled by Quebec.
Insert-name-here I'm from Newfoundland, and yeah, that threw me too. I guess the devs said "We need a future Canada, let's split it in half and call it a day!"
suborbitalprocess They could at least bring back upper and lower Canada.
Screw that, we'll set out on our own with New Brunswick and P.E.I! We have oil, trees, uh... potatoes, what more does a great nation need? We'll call it 'New Acadia' or something, whaddya say me old son?
suborbitalprocess Its weird that a revolution starts in a RUclips comment section but GIVE ME NEUVOUS ACADIE OR GIVE ME DEATH!
So the scenario called Korean Crisis... doesn't let you play as South Korea? Well done, developers.
Actually, you pronounced Kyushu admirably there Jon.
I would really love to see more of this
Well that was the fastest hour of my life...
Please play more
Poland trying to take on Russia was truly heart-warming :)
kim is suprisingly pro renewable energy actually as weird as it is to realize in game
Is there's an oil, opium wars methods in this game, or supporting opposition parties in other countries, embargoes, common markets, closed and open borders ...etc?
I thought we would be nuked during the intro of this video, you never know with Little Rocket Man
"...conquer the japanese island of Kiusiu (Kyushu)... sorry i am probably not pronouncing it right..."
actually for once you pronounced something right. in fact the game has it written incorrectly so in a way you corrected the game itself. good job
"It's just the crash of 2020 eh?" well that aged well 19:20
Dose anyone know what happened to the surviving mars series? He left it on a flipping cliff hanger
The colonists slowly become martians
So is your name now Jim Jon-un?
i wouldnt mind seeing more of this
As a South Korean, this is utterly hilarious XD
I'm amazed that the north Korea nuke problem basically solved itself literally within a month of you doing this.
I really wish you would play more politiks, it is a really enjoyable series to watch.
Do more of this game
Harry Turtledove showed me why the USA splitting up would not be that fun.
Have you read his worldwar series? is pretty neat.
I have.
It is because there is not enough licking
Hey, on the Green Energy focus, Best Korea has a focus on being as self-sufficient as possible because, you know, nobody wants to trade with them. So they have a national policy of self reliance, and green energy focus isn't too far of a reach.
I love it when RUclips thinks it should show me videos in the sub box...
I'd love more of this! Fantastic game!
You are role playing as Kim Jong Un’s cousin Kim Jon Nice
I tried damnit
FINALLY, REALPOLITIKS!! THE GODS HAVE HEARD MY COMMENTS! plz make this a series :)
just bought it and STILL CANT FIGURE IT OUT. Love it tho i am playing on the switch
@many a true nerd
I recommend playing this game again but as and trying to restore the habsburgian empire
I loved the idea of Nice Korea :D
I dont understand why you play this game but none of the grand strategy games by Paradox... :(
He literally just uploaded part 9 of a Stellaris playthrough yesterday????
Stellaris is 4x not grand strategy.
EU IV is not that different from Stellaris.
It's just the economic crash of 2020... ouch... too soon Jon.
Are You going to do a series?
As a South Korean, this should be interesting to watch :D
THANK YOU FINALLY SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS MY VIEWPOINT ON THE USA
It still bothers me that the province of Quebec owns Labrador in this game and not Newfoundland
I need more of this pleaseeee
'The same but much more' - Jon 2018
Why is south korea's army bigger than nice korea's it is not line that in 2018?
Jon, have you any interest in Subnautica? I found it to be a refreshingly engaging, yet hands off game. Would love to see a series of it.
You know what they say "He who owns the skies, owns the battlefield"
You are so far from "Nice Korea" in this video that it's actually amazing.
You didn't even say what happened to Australia!
Is it the same, has it broken up, what happened?
SERIES?
THANK YOU JON. MY LORD AND SAVIOR!!!!!!
'Bankeria' in the Grand Campaign. The Glorious Reign of the Morgan Dynasty.
Try Hearts of Iron 4
Yes
And after that, EU4. Though he might have to take out a small mortgage to pay for the dlc.
There is a modern times mod for it.
yeah this game is very HOI4 like.
This was the first game I ever saw from you
what was that at the start? "good afterdoodle?
taking excessive loans probably wasn't the best
Jon if you liked this game you should really think about giving Europa Universalis 4 (or EU4) a look.
More of this pls
Did you use the phrase "love bombing"?
Oh the mental imagery...
The bloody crash of 2020, hes not wrong
Was thinking the same thing lol. So does this mean we will see Nice Korea? =O And the legalised NK porn? lol
No way in hell would we be happier that way, we enjoy the arguments way too much.
lol, the USSR and America set off several hundred nuclear explosions without the effects described by this game. Nuclear winter would require pretty much every one of the worlds nukes.
Matt Hunter
I think the implication is that nukes are far more powerful in the timeline of the game and multiple nukes might be fired for every one nuke resource.

Can i play as Iran or Serbia in this one?
Haven't seen a comment about your pronunciation of Kyushu
So, though I'm probably just missing the comment somewhere, not bad.
No Jon, you see. After ww2 there was never a point where you had to not worry about being nuked
Brendan McKiernan He should play EU4 and CK2 as well
Brendan Mills start of easy maybe start as a major nation conquer territory you think is not too impossible to conquer play as that nation for a bit and then change nations. Also if you just start playing play in recruit difficulty . So just slowly progress your way up and watch some tutorials if you wish!
Plz do more of this game
Gaming+Politics = Anything+Politics = PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTBBBBBTTTTT
A shame no one has made a successful playthrough of this... 😒
well considering south korea has an actual economy and most likely modern tanks, against a bunch of farmers with cold war russian tanks, wich are not bad, nowhere near a new age MBT
try playing crusader kings II
Ooh lasers.
Kim seen this video? might explain his change of attitude since.
so yeah... that crash of 2020 huh?
Guess that could've gone a little better, hunh?
Wait, that's not Europa Universalis IV D:
Splitting the union of the United States into multiple parts was the largest catastrophe in the nation's history. I don't feel like people would be as happy as you think. Make series
Is Hawaii independent in the 2050
