Thank God musicians do not have political power, such stupid idealism would result only in political catastrophe - music transcends all nations, creeds, races and beliefs, it unites mankind in a shared unity of feeling, unfortunately real life exists at a different plane, where borders exist and there are differences is money, fame, power and influence between individuals who have competing needs, interests, rights and responsibilities. Those competing needs do not get resolved with thoughtless, well-meaning soundbites from celebrities talking from their rarified bubbles of pampered privilege.

What a beautiful piece and played so beautifully. A gifted Maestro Yoyo Ma, when he plays in duet mode, he engages the other artist, and when he plays alone, he is in that moment, transfixed with he and his cello, bravo, bravo.
The cellist a genius! The piano divine. All performed at a perfect speed so that the listener’s brain goes into a sort-of contemplative state of bliss!
When Yo-YoMa performed, 80% of his expressive power came from his physical playing, 20% from his facial expressions. Often times I found my eyes got drawn to his face that I lost track of the music.
When three greats play together in true ensemble, we have a landmark event. I, too, would like to hear this from beginning to end on YT.
