***Today we turn a basic Dell Optiplex PC w. an Intel i5 2400 CPU into a ULTRA FAST gaming PC. Just by adding an NVIDIA GTX 760 graphics card and upgrading the power supply its runs games like Fortnite @ 144+ FPS. It also handles any modern game on medium settings @ 60 FPS. For ONLY $150 it puts the PS4 & XBOX1 to shame!

To anyone hesitant on doing this I’m not telling you to do it but I did it and it runs amazing. Here’s some things to know! In total I spent about $230(including shipping)
-I’m on a dell optiplex 990 i5 2400
- also it needs to be a mini tower! Make sure it’s this or nothing will fit!(paid $100)
-I did not replace the thermal paste and it runs fine but I still recommend doing it
- I also put the Radeon rx570 in instead of the gtx 770(paid $89)
-if you use the rx 570 gpu in this case your gunna need to drill out 3 rivets that hold the hard drive holder and bend it up
and then just zip tie the ssd in place.
- I get 144fps on fortnite (prolly could get more but I capped it).
All in all great buy and build!

Hey yall this is an update. So everything is going awesome the only downside is he forgot to put you need to buy a wifi connector. I bought a internal one but the GPU blocks the port so I suggest getting a external one. Thank you again tech yesterday :)

Pro tip: for cleaning the old thermal paste residue, you can uce nail polish remover which contains acetone. This should be much easier.

Defiantly just make sure the ram is ddr3 cause that the type of RAM this motherboard supports. (Also make sure there is enough slots on your motherboard)

I'm ready to buy and build this! Can't wait to try it out. I'm not sure about what OptiPlex to buy, I know it has to be a mini tower though. I'm from Canada. When I include shipping the OptiPlex itself costs around $150. I'm no good at this ebay stuff but I'm gunna keep looking
I just build the 200$ console killer budget pc and in creative I get good frames(165fps) but in pubs when I’m landing or jumping off the bus my FPS goes to 10 or below and I’m lag spiking so much. I would be appreciated if u can respond.
Download msi afterburner and tun the overlay and see what's maxing out that will give you an idea on what's bottlenecking and causing those spikes
This happens to me too it's because the hard drive you can't do anything about it. Unless you replace it with a ssd

@@CatalystBass Hm thats very strange. I play using this PC daily and never had this issue. At minimum i get around 60 to 70 FPS on low settings epic view distance during end game. It seems like something is wrong with drivers somewhere. TBH you will get the best results if you do a clean install of windows and download application called driver booster to get all the current/up to date drivers to ensure it runs smoothly

60FPS on epic settings and 144 on low. The 760 is an amazing card as it can be bought for $50 and performs same if not better than the 1050.
