@MrGts92 from cuts in the overbloated government sector, the removal of paying interest on money recently created by quantative easing to bail out the banks during the financial collapse. The money saved on benifits when people are encouraged to start work with the lift of the tax threshold. Not to mention the potential growth of the economy when it's not smothered by regulations that stop the small and medium sized businesses competing with global corporations.

If the economy was good when Blair got to power, you can thank his predecessor for it, and Thatcher for fixing it in the first place.
