- VA will compensate veterans for medical conditions that existed at the time of entry into service that were made worse or “aggravated” by service. VA begins its evaluation of claims for service connection based on aggravation under a presumption of soundness. This means that veterans are generally presumed to be in sound condition when they enter service. Tune in to learn more about VA service connection by aggravation.

Great presentation!! After 8 yrs, I showed medical evidence, records,to the V.A. I got my benefits started in 2015..
I was drafted and it was noted that I had flat feet with asymptomatic symptoms 3 weeks into basic training I went to sick call for pain in my feet they put homemade wedges on the bottom of my boots which made the pain worse after a week of that I had them remove the wedges and was told by the Senior DI toughen up and move on. It was frowned upon to go to sick call so I never went back to sick call for my feet. On my ETS physical the doctor noted that I had Normal feet which tells you he never asked or looked at them I was denied on my initial claim and denied recently on an HLR stating I said no problem with my feet to the doctor that performed my ETS physical. It also stated I did not complain after the 2 times I went to sick call and C%P examiner noted that my condition had not progressed beyond natural progression. The extent of the C%P exam was 5 minutes take off your shoes and socks stand up turn left turn right that was it.
Awesome work. Thank you for the help
Excellent presentation!!
I was diagnosed with PTSD long after my military service. But it was caused by childhood trauma. I applied for Service aggravated disability due to things that happen to me while in the service. The VA denied me twice saying it was not service connected. When I kept reminding them that I didn't apply for service connected, but service aggravated, they just repeated that it wasn't service connected. Even though it was diagnosed by VA staff.
Just my 2 cents on the matter. I don't talk to anyone about the childhood trauma and wish now it was not in my VA records. Since I found out that just about anybody has access to them. I thought I had doctor patient confidentiality. But that's not the case.
YOU NEVER MENTION ANYTHING BEFORE YOUR MILITARY SERVICE OR YOU WILL BE DENIED AS YOU HAVE FOUND OUT. YOU NEED A LAWYER. 👍
Also, I am not a combat veteran. Army Airborne 76-79.
VA is correcting an error . Failure to assist. Is this a good sign
I need a lawyer
I need a cheese burger with pickles
I found out that at birth I had cerebral palsy when I was 40. I never knew I had this can I joined the service. How should I go about handling this? The service definitely aggravated this condition.
Hi Amy.
Hi Amy
Its their law time to start entitlement ASAP I have waited long enough thank you everyone
t
if in entrance exam asymptomatic normal pes planus but never knew. I was seen frequently for back hip and shin issues. Would that cover aggravation beyond natural progression. I did see it mentioned one separate time. What would need further to connect or show evidence?
How can I connect this to the PTSD? I was actually committed for a week or so a few months before separation and I'm already 80 percent for mental and 90 overall. I just want my 100
And yes it has gotten worse, everything has gotten worse especially since my divorce 2 years ago
They seem to keep us vets at 90. Why I don't know
I'm sure u do lol
TDIU. AND YOU NEED A ATTORNEY.
