    For me it’s migraine. I just got my 100% P&T for filing migraine as a secondary to my tinnitus. VA finally awarded me 50% for migraine which ultimately gave me my 100% p&t

    Once awarded 100% P&T, does one risk losing the 100% P&T rating because of applying for a secondary claim? I watched another channel that said once one is awarded 100% P&T, it's not wise to re-open because you can get downrated. Is this true, or is the secondary different from the original claim?

    • @cornellirons5348
      @cornellirons5348 Год назад

      Go for it. I'm 100% p&t as well but my discharge was in 2011 for my first claim. My second claim was in 2017 for increases. Two things that I'm not concerned with are both claims fall outside of 10 and 5 year rules. The third is that my age is over 55 years and is also protected. If you are outside of any of these protected rules I wouldn't be concerned.

    About 3 years ago my VSO filed a claim for me for hypertension, ED and sleep apnea. All were denied. Just recently the hypertension was approved with a 0% compensation. My question is can I now file a claim for ED and sleep apnea as secondary conditions to the hypertension ? Is it likely to be approved?

    • @imveryhungry112
      @imveryhungry112 5 месяцев назад

      @@TheDonna1959 Everyones grasping at straws trying to get that VA money. Trying to tie ED to military service? Come on. Even the VA didnt buy it which is why they rejected his claims. The real answer to the original posters question depends on if medicine control their hypertension. If they can get on medicine and the blood pressure numbers stabilize, why would the VA pay you money for that? Now if you play some type of game and dont take your medicine so that your numbers stay high just to get a small VA check, your a dumbo because you can literally have a stroke from uncontrolled hypertension.

    The VA keeps denying me for trying to link my left knee and ankle secondary to my service connected right knee and right ankle. I've had 2 surgeries on the right ankle but the va says there is no link. I've even given them a NEXUS letter from my surgeon. Waiting on the supplement claim on that one now.

    Besides Agent Orange, the US military dumped plutonium, chemical weapons and such throughout the Pacific from 1947 to present. I did multiple tours there and was exposed to these chemicals hazards and in my MOS i worked directly with this stuff. It harmed not only active duty personnel, but dependents and civilian contractors as well. Poisoning the Pacific, (Mitchell, 1974). Where or when will this be addressed?

    I put in for a secondary condition for varicose veins due to my flatfoot that I’m currently receiving compensation for I never even knew I could apply for this until I read up on it. I hope I’m approved for it because I’ve been dealing with this since I came out of the military in 2005.

    I don't remember hearing it, so forgive me if I'm asking a question that was in the video.....but when filing a secondary claim, does it have to be indicated anywhere on the claim form that it is a "secondary claim" and to which primary condition you're claiming it off of or caused by? Or is that something that is written in your personal notes on the your claim? ... Just don't want to assume that the VA files it correctly or knows what the intentions are

    How does Sleep Apnea with the use of a CPAP Secondary to PTSD work? Is it compensatable if the VA acknowledges that Sleep Apnea is aggravated by the PTSD, or is the Sleep Apnea Rated at a 0% instead of 50%?

  • @allan9603
    @allan9603 6 месяцев назад

    One thing to be aware of when it comes to secondary mental conditions; mental conditions such as depression and anxiety are easily controlled with meds and therapy.
    Unless you get that welcoming "No further appointments necessary" on your claim, you could be in for further evaluations by the VA, and any improvements to your secondary mental health awards, could be a basis to reduce, or in some cases eliminate your compensation.
    PTSD is usually the exception, as there is no known cure for it.

    My question pertains exactly to this video as a secondary condition I have a Vietnam veteran who has been awarded a 0% erectile dysfunction as a primary condition and I want to know a what other secondary conditions can you file under erectile dysfunction and be another condition he has diabetes as a primary condition, but he also has peripheral neuropathy in all four extremities also as primary conditions, and not as secondary conditions to his diabetes so that question would be should it be listed as secondary to his diabetes and if it is listed secondary, would it be a bigger percentage or would it be the same percentage as he already has for peripheral neuropathy? Thanks.

    I have service connected rating for my right foot, ankle & knee. My injuries cause me to occasionally fall. Last time I fell I think it caused me to tear my rotator cuff, scheduled for an MRI in a couple of weeks. Would this be a good secondary claim if confirmed? Thanks

    I have condition that are the result of Reactive Airway Disease and the side effects associated with the medications I take.
    They were approved but nothing says they are secondary. I’m assuming I have to go to a pulmonologist to get documentation that the meds are causing my other conditions.
