Who cares ? I don't get these 'ranking' videos .... anyone with half a brain can work out for themselves what they like and dont like . It's all opinion .... and to me mine is the only one that matters
Yes. I'm interested in knowing what people favour, but that's always what these lists are. I'd prefer it if people put on their critical hats and tried to define what is good and bad, regardless of taste, but most people are terrified of being shot down in flames.
Saw this comment and wanted to reply. As a lifelong, all-eras Kiss fan, I've shared many favorite bands in common with many friends, but when it comes to Kiss- I just never had close friends who were as much into or as informed on all things Kiss as I was. So while you're right that we can all figure out our opinions, the fun of videos like this can just be hearing someone else discuss their catalog. So, if you're not interested, great, but then why are you watching this and furthermore, why are you taking the time to complain 'who cares?' and gripe about someone's heartfelt thoughts on Kiss in the comments? This guy cared enough to give a thoughtful review and put in the effort to make lots of videos to share his interest in Kiss with other new/old fans. If you're a true Kiss fan, then allow other Kiss fans to share their thoughts in a supportive way or consider not commenting.
Amigo, Unmasked is really solid for me.👌 The opener "Is that you" kicks some major ass. Talk to me , 2 sides of the coin , Shandi , and more. It's the start of the '80s, sound is still more of '70s. It got some cool rockers and real fun for driving. Give it one more go ✌️

For me, it’s the production. I never did like the sound on Crazy Nights as it seems it was a step backwards from Asylum. I would have put this one on the Rock Botton tier.
That album would be better with the two demos Sword And Stone and Time Traveler ! I hope they will release it in 2027. Like Creatures as 40th anniversary with all the other remastered demos ! But it's still good!
I find the songs cringey and overproduced - trying a little too hard to be mainstream. That said there are are a couple of songs I love on it, and it’s by no means my least favourite.

I agree with your "You wanted the best". IMO every other album might have a good song or two but just doesn't have the kiss soul of the early days. It's basically generic crap that only die hard fans buys or listens to.

I had to disagree with you on Hotter than Hell, granted it’s my favorite kiss album to me because it’s so gritty and nasty and the sound quality is the one and only for it which helps the songs in my eyes. I can tell it’s those aspects you didn’t care for, and that’s okay!
I can totally get how people can love that sludge sound. I know a lot of Doom and Stoner rock/metal bands site this album as a huge influence and you can definitely hear it
@@2die4yt I take it in the same stride as Van Halen’s Fair Warning. It’s an album that was more gritty and off the wall compared to the party-anthem styled music they played in the first three albums and to most, the change in sound was a bit jarring. With the sound of Kiss ‘74 and Dressed to Kill, I feel Hotter than Hell was kinda sandwiched in a very weird time when Kiss was more or less still finding their sound. Obviously Destroyer is when they found their big sound in the 70’s and the direction of the music was shifting to more of what we got with Dynasty, but it just goes to show how much KISS’s sound was changing during their six quick years of the 70’s.

But, I write, record, and mix/master all my own music, so I've gone back and kind of remastered a bunch of old music that doesn't quite hold up, including some songs from Hotter Than Hell. Destroyer and unmasked are my 2 favs.
I’m with ya on RARO, Love Gun and Dressed to Kill, but we are off on a lot. Nice list though.
hotter than hell should be much higher I like the muddy production it fits.
That's what I have found after doing my Hotter than Hell review is that some people don't care for the muddy production, but some people love it!
Disagree with LIU but that’s what makes KISS fans so great. Thanks for the entire series. Psycho-Circus is rock bottom for me!

Hell yeah!
I honestly don't get the love for Destroyer.
Tried to love it but to me it's the most overrated kiss album.
I can see that. Definitely a huge sound and commercial shift from their first albums
Creatures never can be at the same level of monster and sonic.
Monsters & Sonic are in the hell bottom
Sonic Boom is great. Not as good as Creatures, but it's as good or better than most of their heyday records.
Rock bottom elder and unmasked
Dressed to kill and Rock n roll albums are nice but no fuckin way at the top.
Thanks for the reply! What would you place at your top?
Was'nt Kiss just a few "wanna-be's " that fooled us all?
Carnival is horrible, pain to the ears.
