I spent a few days in Strauisbaai. L'Agulhas is just around the corner and is the most southern tip of Africa. we had great conditions to fish in, but I had to fish very long hours to finally find the fish!

It's nice to see this realistic view of fishing. So often we see videos and it makes it seem so easy or fish after fish. This is the struggle that most of us are so familiar with and can relate to. Great stuff man

Great video. I came to say hi on Friday morning on the beach. I fished on the left of Chris and the lessers were thick, I managed to get 3 on the light stuff before I left. The Raggie pup looked like a decent fight from where I was standing. Looking forward to the next video. Cheers.
Haha that raggie pup was funny, i was sitting on my baitbox throwing small baits,catching lessers to get the time past and a rag pup took the bait🤣

That 1st bite possibly a bronzie....ive fished there for kob and got a 140kg bronzie on kob tackle. Also went ballistic with an areal display

I'm fishing in struisbaai for the long weekend. I hope we get some decent fish if not ill just have to be persistent like Mr ZLF😉
We fished for about 30 hours straight this weekend, from aghallus to struisbaai to arniston and didn't get anything when we were about to give up then shad came on the bite and managed to get a few. Persistence pays off. Thanks for your honest videos and view of how angling g actually is

Hello Xander, where would you suggest someone fishes if visiting Struis for the first time? Non eds preferably and would they be around beginning August / Late July?
If possible, it must be easily accessible with a car and quite safe for 1 or 2 people. A open long beach sounds ideal.
Gear I have will be the Gosa 25k/horizon rod etc.
During the winter the non eds aren’t great in struis. Spotted gully sharks would be your best bet. Maybe some cow sharks at Suide Strand at Vleis se bank. The big non eds only start to show mid October

Wel gedaan Zander...... Net 1 vraag. Met hoeveel stokke of hoeke mag mens wettig hengel op dieselfde tyd? Dalk dom vraag maar die Vrystaater kom net 1 keer n jaar by die see om n lyntjie nat te maak....
Sover ek weet is dit 2 stokke per lisensie, mag dalk verkeerd wees
