- I went on a solo mission to fish for som e edible fish on a long stretch of beach! The water was a little stronger what I thought it would be. I just fished whatever I saw, by this I mean I walked till I found fishable water and just fished the conditions and made the best of what was on offer! reading the water was really important on this particular day!

awesome video. for a winter session you did really epic. always a special feeling when landing fish from landbased but more special when you land good fish during the toughest part of the year.
When I watch this video I think of how most fishermen are so secretive. Thanks, Xander for sharing your secrets with us and making fishing that more fun.
Wish you guys will tell us about the tackle and rigs you use eg. Rod type, length, tip. Line, leader, Sinker weight etc.

Great vlog Xander - you would love fishing for eastern rock blackfish aka 'black drummer' or 'pigs' that we get off the rocks here in NSW, Australia. They pull hard, love the white water, eat well and so many of your South African applications would work wonders here. As dit die plek is waar ek dink dit is, dan is dit n wonderlike plek. Jy loop jou in jou kas maar is die moeite werd.
