Record will erase everything on the track overdub add to the melody or drums that you recorded multiple times . If you decide to start from scratch you use record if not use overdub to build on your existing melody or drums . Start will allow for you to play your music from any section play start will always start from the beginning with is faster than hitting back or moving the marker to the beginning . I use all of the functions and I’m glad they have it because all you have to do is press a button instead of erasing, deleting and moving the marker to the beginning manually.
HI., I don't know if this will help you but. If you look on the Main Page Just under Sequence use Bar, (How May Bars) Start (Play Head ..STARTS HERE,(PUNCH IN)( start on the Bar that you choose, End ( punch Out). To work and Record in diff sec of track
The problem is you have never used the MPC before. The basis of the MPC has always been drums with midi implementation for other outboard synths. Sell your machine and get out the akai ecosystem it isn't for you. But in the prefences you can set it for the screen to follow the cursor.
My Guy,the Operating System you are running is in Beta,it's not finished and they released it so that us MPC users can give feedback so the official release is better and fully functional,if you feel like it's bad either stop using the MPC or revert to the Older OS...I'm just saying
The playhead should not jump away from where you are working on, out of sight, please this is really bad. And why can we have features, where the playhead can be in view at all times, as the music plays. And also where the play can stay where you are working on, that when you press play, the playhead will go back to that position, these simple basic things are required to make real music, Is MPC not stand for Music Production Center?
Sir this Akai Software 3.0 is in Beta , did you read before you downloaded? Calm down , I’m will not send this video to Akai , it will just pissed them off , Your the biggest whiner on RUclips. Give Akai some time ! Deep Breath
