I have rebuilt several of these generators and a very easy way to get rotor off is to heat up the rotor bolt threaded end get hot then screw it in , screw back in leaving some threads tap on end and they normally pop off.
Great video series, you taught me just what I needed to learn to attempt this repair myself. I have a 9kw model, and I'm wondering if using it to run my stick welder could have ruined the governor?
I often reassemble stuff enuf that I'll get it back together without missing a simple washer or nut..... But I'm older than dirt, so my memory ain't as good as it used to be..... I use my phone to photo an assembly to help, also.
i have a powermate 3750w generator that stopped putting out power after 130 hours and when i took it apart there was a bunch of melted plastic in where the wires are. the plastic was from something inside the armature.
Also remember to keep your children safe when using generators so they don’t get electrocuted ruclips.net/video/I1jT3ANENvI/видео.html just reminding everyone to stay safe. Thank you
I tried Ebay and could only find one seller for the crankshaft, at $70 bucks, and can't find this exact governor or the piston arm on Ebay. I can find similar parts but not the specific parts. I can probably retorfit another piston arm as they are all pretty much the same diameter but the governor for this on has thick gears on it and the one I found on Ebay has thin gears on it so it probably won't match up inside. I will look for the specific part numbers though. I found one schematic online but I'm not sure if it's the exact one I need. I can tell you the model number of the motor is the EX30. The closest I can come to the other parts are numbers #277-45004-H1 and #277-41901-03 for the governor and sleeve.
Kevin Bergeron the same model you have. The entire rotor was too seized and we could not get it out. After trying to hit it with a hammer like you demonstrated the front part ( wheel facing you. The plastic around the wheel snapped and broke). So I would need the whole new rotor
MrCougar214 or John Did you ever find where to buy parts? I also have the same generator EX300520106733 and cant find any parts I currently need an air filter replacement

Great tip I will try that
Thank you
Nice job. Craig's list a great place to buy generators that just need a simple carb cleaning, maybe valve adjustment etc. I buy them for $20.
Don’t forget about generator safety as well ruclips.net/video/I1jT3ANENvI/видео.html

It really helps
