Getting a Sak Yant in Thailand 🇹🇭 is like buying a fake GUCCI.
You have to go to Cambodia 🇰🇭 and get yourself an authentic Sak Yant.
Only a certified monk can recommend the right tattoo for you.
I’m Khmer American my father served in Khmer Republic, many of his fellow soldiers would have Sak Yant, they all told me it would be months or years before some Monks or Sages would give you a Sak Yant, they would have to accept you as a student, afterwards follow their teachings, abstain from negative actions, and dietary restrictions.
I’m Cambodian American. I’m one of your fan. I am so jealous that you are able to live in my beloved birthplace country. While I’m stuck here in the rat race here in Texas.

I heard of the same stories, many Khmer soldiers swear that the Sak Yunt (Khmer spelling) protected them from bullets. They were blessed by certified monks, not done by a tatoo parlor.

My son had his done in Oddar Meanchey province. We were referred by monks in Anlong Vey, his tattoo Ajan is one of the 4 master in Cambodia. Pat you should go visit the monk in Anlong Veng, the temples are in the woods looks like you’re y see in a movie. All the monks are super fit and they all have tattoos. The Ajan we went to didn’t give us the price of tattoos or ask for any money from us. This is the type of tattoo master you want to go go.

The monk spends about 8 to 9 hours to Sak Yant for one person. Considering taking the whole day to earn 50 to 100 bucks is fair enough. No complaint.

To me the spell with the yarn I kinda don’t believe in it cause from what my father told me all the special spell you are get chosen by the forest spirit than once you get chosen is like you are the only person to see a magical cloth just for you to wrap around for protection like can’t get shot burnt cut and disable land mines and all so for you to get this tattoo yarn just to get it with out knowing anything I don’t think these spells would do anything cause the real deal is you have to be chosen from the spirits !!! This is the real yarn is not tattoo or anything this is what I learn from my father
