We used to watch Disney's Jungle book.
In the forest there is a lost city. that is hypothetical
But this is a place in the real world.
      Angkor wat who built it?
      believe it or not
      History of the Khom people
They are Thai ancestors. He ordered the construction of Angkor Wat.
is the inventor of the Khom script which is adapted from the Indian script
This is a problem that Everyone wants all the truth.
      It is now 2023.
In the ancient world, the Land of Suvarnabhumi, The Lavo Kingdom was the birthplace of the KHOM people.
Lavo stone castles are everywhere in Thailand. It was built before the Angkor Wat period.
I repeat before the Angkor Wat period.
For example, Phra Prang Sam Yot in "Lop buri"province
Prasat Hin Phanom Rung in "Buri ram" Province of Thailand.
      I repeat
The KHOM people are not Khmer(cambodia).
The KHOM people are the ancestors of Siam.
Ancient stone inscriptions in Burma called the Siamese as KHOM.

I'm a Khmer kid born in America. I've always felt disconnected from my culture because schools here just don't talk about Cambodia in a good light (I've only seen a paragraph in textbooks about the Khmer Rouge war at the most). Anyways, the point is that this really makes me proud to be Cambodian, and now I'm looking more than ever to learn about my culture. Thank you for this.

I was kind of bummed with this video. It is great but it doesn't show the scale of the Angkor complex. There are so many temples and they only showed like 4. It almost made it seem like that was "it". And I don't mean "it" as in it's not amazing what they showed but it made it seem like what they showed was everything built there. I went to like 20 sites, like the one with the statue that is supposedly a kings dog? (if I remember right), Pre Rup, there is so much more there. It is so amazing.

The king who built Angkor Wat, had studied and lived in the kingdom of Java (Indonesia) during the Sailendra dynasty. This is shown in the inscriptions found(K 235 Sdok Kok Thom, Yang Tikuh and Vat Smrong). The building is similar to the Prambanan (Hindu) and Borobudur (Buddhist) temples in Java (Indonesia).

And it's said that there are more than one inscriptions from different time periods giving conflicting account of the same Jayavarman. Some believe Java actually refers to Champa with whom the Khmer were at war with for centuries.

The most valuable inscription concerning Jayavarman II is the one dated in 1052 AD, two centuries after his death, and found at the Sdok Kak Thom temple in present-day Thailand.[6]:97[9]:353-354 “When His Majesty Paramesvara came from Java to reign in the royal city of Indrapura,…Sivakaivalya, the family’s learned patriarch, was serving as his guru and held the post of royal chaplain to His Majesty,” states the inscription, using the king’s posthumous name.[10] In a later passage, the text says that a Brahman named Hiranyadama, “proficient in the lore of magic power, came from Janapada in response to His Majesty’s having invited him to perform a sublime rite which would release Kambujadesa [the kingdom] from being any longer subject to JAVA.” The text also recounts the creation of the cult of the devaraja, the key religious ceremony in the court of Jayavarman and subsequent Khmer people.

My trip to Cambodia was my first ever trip out of my home country (Malaysia) and it was exhilarating. i could have not made a better choice for a country to visit for my first time. We used to watch Disney's Jungle book.
In the forest there is a lost city. that is hypothetical
But this is a place in the real world.
This is a civilization with roots from India.

Because it was easier for them to pronounce. They wouldn’t like it if Khmer was to rename their countries something else. One example would be Native Americans they renamed them to Indians, because it was easier for them. Look what happened to Native Americans, they lost their entire nation to the non natives.

We used to watch Disney's Jungle book.
In the forest there is a lost city. that is hypothetical
But this is a place in the real world.
This is a civilization with roots from India.

True. His analysis of temple architecture and Indian engineering, is just fascinating. Nothing was ever built without purpose. Too bad not many people know this. However, I'm now beginning to see some western channels check out his in-depth study of ancient Hindu temples and structures.
Fascinating study in plain sight....but still largely unknown to those who have little understanding of ancient Indian architecture and their importance.
His channel is a boon for us mystery lovers.

@@VSM101 Probably thinks he knows everything and one of those people who turn down their nose on things they do not know of. Hence that idiotic" lol".
Like they day, a little knowledge is a dangerous thing!🤣
