This reminded me under the Khmer Rouge as I was sent to cut the bamboos and woods in Cardamom mountain in Pursat to build the dams in Pursat River. Many of us got sick from malaria and died but I was very lucky to be alive there. Enjoy your hiking!
I visited the motherland back in 2008 and i was literally sick for most part i was there(1 month). I don't know if it was the food or i just couldn't handle the heat. But beyond being sick, i loved everything abou Srok Khmer. Thanks for sharing brother. Definitely a great collab with Savi. Best wishes to you and your families! GOD BLESS!
It kept getting progressively more difficult until we reached camp. Hard to convey how difficult parts of the hike were. I challenge anyone who thinks it looks easy to book a jungle trek with these fellas.
My friend runs a tour company that goes to places like the Cardamom Mountains. Your trip looks much more.....spartan. Savi - Come to Philly sometime for the weekend SE Asian market in FDR Park. :)
Patrick, Thanks for a good lesson about minority people in Cambodia. I never met one and did not know they have their own language. Even I was born and raised in Cambodia for my adult life before migrating to US in the late 1981's. Good to know about history.
Lotus seed but the inside the seed , it’s tasted bitter. Kudu to those two little guys, it seems they are doing great and doesn’t look tired or wear down at all.
Thank you for giving me a view of what my parents went thru when they escaped the Khmer Rouge. Growing up, I heard stories of their march thru the jungles.
Glad to see you guys learn how to survive in the deep jungles. Always tag along the people got experience about jungles. Congratulations, you guys did it.👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏🐠🐡⛺️🏕️
Wow, I commend you guys. Are there alot of city folk who trek the jungle and mountains as well? Haven't came across any content creators in Cambodia doing it other than you. Bless! 🙏🏻
There are lots of Khmers these days that are trekking in the forests and mountains of Srok Khmer. Pheakdey is one of them. He is hardcore. He has done solo camping in the jungle, island and caves across the country. He has a RUclips channel, Pheakdey Official.
Did you set up tents for the night? Are you looking for something or just showing us the jungle. I'm not sure if you are enjoying it. You seem tired. 🤗💖
@@CamboVlogs makes me want to get back in shape and do this trip. Nature is awesome. I like watching the vlog and I try to pay attention to the Khmer so I can learn a few words each video. I’ve learned several languages, Khmer is the hardest for me. I learned : sour, dry and a few others I can’t think off right now. Thanks man.
@@saviyou I was just kidding. I like your channel. I am very close to retirement age, and all of my life I planned to retire to the Philippines. But lately I have put Cambodia on the shortlist, so I’m not sure about the Philippines anymore. I am going to take my next vacay to Cambodia to check it out. Keep up the good work!
@@InkByDaniel i haven’t been to the Philippines yet. It’s on my shortlist tho. I think the biggest difference is that you’ll find it easier to communicate in most of the country in PH.
@@saviyou yes, but I think I might like Cambodia better. I really want to visit anyway. I am a tattoo artist so I can have a retirement ‘side’ hustle as well. So I want to stay near tourist areas like Kampot.
What happened to you two. Them hillbillies Sherpa didn't even break a sweat. Patrick started seeing pizza Ganzberg and mermaid lol. Krob chouk= lotus seed?
Hello 🙋♂️ Would love to bring these two indigenous individuals over here to the West and 👀 show them how I get my kicks out of hiking,🥾 🏔🧗♂️wild camping ⛺️ 🔥 in my world 🌎 with all my “comfortable gadgets at hand” !! Although I do this type of stuff - it’s always well prepared in advance with regard “thoughts” to the point - the gear we take is always ahead, either buried or hidden. My only concern (hypothetically) speaking would be that they might not be able to handle the weather - or food !! However, would make a stunning experience for everyone and make a brilliant YT Vid - !! I sincerely hope they fully understand and realise just how lucky their lives are compared to us over here in the West !! Sadly these places can come very commercialised in a heartbeat once the “greed” from the west thinks there is a quick buck to be made here with tourists being taken away for a few nights in the jungle and the local indigenous people lose out to what was once a perfect way of living their entire life in an environment free of a lot of challenging challenges we have !! Would I swap my comfortable life for theirs ?? Mmmm - I could, but only if I was friends with these two and we lived next door 🚪 to each other !! Thanks 🙏 James 🫶✌️

Dude. Are you TRYING to get malaria? Jk looks like fun fr
You know what’s funny, got more mosquito bites in the city than in the jungle.
