Here’s a tip! If you place a powdered snow block on the place the skeletons get into by being pushed from the water,it will turn the skeletons into strays letting you get more loot!
Thank you 🙏 Found an awesome seed. Got a lake with an island. There is a skeleton spawner in this island too! So now I’m converting the island into a castle. It’s got the lake as a natural moat. And now I can have my own xp farm in my base
Nice. Finding double or even triple spawners was the goal. Essentially having 2 or if your truly lucky 3 spawners within 30-40 block radius. On more Vanilla servers this would typically classify as a true exp farm. You’d have to modify the build slightly if baby spiders were one or the spawners as they can fit through a half block and attack you!
I’m so glad I don’t have to watch a ten minute video because this guy posted a video that’s less than 2 minutes that helps me create something useful in minecraft
For this simple and fast video I give you a subscribe. I recently started to play again Minecraft after some years of pause and this video helped me build my mob spawner.
You only need 2 blocks above and below. Also, you should definitely make an elevator and drop to reduce the mobs to 1 hit while keeping yourself within 16 blocks of the spawner
@meatdelivery4087 how do you figure? All mine are like that. They work wonderfully. So the water pushes everything to block directly under the spawner, you already have a hole going straight down only 7 or so blocks down with signs placed on two sides of the hole to stop the water. The skeleton fall through so you have a room and already made out where you can sit there and hit them safely. They start spawning from from a spawner literally as soon as they're dark. Doesn't matter if you're standing right there next to it.
helps a lot but i'd say only make one part water, and make a large drop down area, so you can afk for 20 mins then come back to have your mending repair all your stuff instantly (making the drop 9-11 blocks works so theyre at half a heart)
If you're on bedrock there's this absolutely killer "trident killer farm" that involves pistons rotating a thrown trident down and since when u throw a trident it's linked to the player that threw it, it causes all xp dropped to go to the player. Makes a great afk farm
TIP: instead of using a slab use a glass block two blocks above the spawner. This allows more mobs to spawn and increases the efficiency of your farm👍🏼
So I already have enderman farm that gets you from level 0-30 in 2 minutes but I found a Skelton spawner and man this is the best spawner farm ever thanks brosky
I think we can make an improvement in this, so instead of digging six blocks deep , we can dig 20 blocks deep do that the skeleton or zombie will face fall damage , losing almost all of their health, and killing them becomes a lot easier, this tip is maily applicable to the starters. 😅😅😊 Thanks tho its a nice video sir.
Works perfectly, great video! I will say for me when I built the farm the torches in the corners were preventing the zombies from spawning, I broke them and it works great now!
This is super simple, but I prefer to upgrade it just a bit by making it 1-hit. You just need to make a bubble elevator to lift the skellies up then a 23 block drop down. Here's my exact dimensions: Walls should be 4 blocks from spawner, ceiling 2 above, floor 2 below. (9×9×5 area with spawner in the center). Put a slab on the top of the spawner. I line one side of the wall with water as in this video, then do the same for the water in the front directing the skellies into the corner. Then from there I dig down 1 and place another water source block. I dig 4 blocks into the wall. I replace the bottom block at the end with soulsand. I dig up 28 blocks, pillaring up from the block in front of the soulsand. As I pillar up, I put water above the soulsand and plant kelp on the soulsand, then pillar and put more water way above, planting more kelp, and I keep pillaring up 28 blocks repeating this process until I reach the top, your pillar should be 28 blocks high and the water/kelp is 29 blocks high and streaming towards you. Dig away from the kelp now to create a hall, 14 blocks so the water creates a stream. The hall should be a total of 16 blocks long. You'll need to use signs and another water source to continue the water stream when it runs out halfway. At the end of the hall, dig down 25 blocks. If necessary place a sign before digging down to prevent the water coming down, but if it's built right then that shouldn't be necessary. From the bottom, you can create your room for grinding. Put a hopper under the Skelly drop chute then a slab on top. Now it's a 23.5 block drop which is perfect for a 1-hit kill. Dig back into the spawner room, swim through it and break the blocks which block the bubble elevator. Use signs to prevent the water from leaving the elevator and break the kelp. Go back through the spawner room, break all torches, go back to the kill room and close the spawning room off with blocks. If desired use tinted blocks so you can see the spawner. It's hard to explain in text but essentially, there is an elevator on one side of the spawn room, then a stream way above, then the skeletons drop down the other side. Your kill room will be on the other side of the drop chute, level with the spawner itself so the skeletons spawn at the best rate. There should only be a 2-block wall between the drop chute and the spawning room, so you can stay very close to the spawner again ensuring the best spawn rates. I designed this system years ago and it works fantastic. It sounds weird over text but I built one yesterday in survival in less than an hour, and let's just say I'm not a fast builder! It had also been a long time since I'd built it, I just referenced a diagram I'd made years ago with the rough dimensions. It's extremely easy and gave me a quick early-game XP farm.
Chances are when you put the hopper down you accidentally connected it to the wrong block. I had this issue with my iron farm until I realized when I put the hopper down I used the wall right in front of me to place it against but once I replaced the hopper by clicking on the block to the right (where the chest was gonna go) it fixed my problem and the loot started to go into the chest.
In your kill chamber room, add a few furnaces. You can put gold and iron gear into them + bows as fuel to smelt the gear down and get rid of all the extra drops 👌 turning it into at least something useful and a tiny bit of exp from smelting
I've got my own version where the water works like a funnel with a 1x1 hole under the spawner for the mobs to fall into. Then there's another water stream that acts as a conveyor belt that leads them into a block of lava at head level, with a hopper under their feet to drop their items when they get autokilled by the lava. to get the XP, you just have to punch them once, which eliminates the need for a sword
