Strawberry Jam Twist Bread

- This Strawberry Jam Twist Bread is one of the best breakfast, brunch, or anytime treats I've ever made. It's soft, gooey, sweet, and sticky! To get the printable recipe, please visit my website here: www.agardenforthehouse.com/
Ingredients:
3/4 cup warm (110°F) milk
2 1/4 teaspoons (one package) active dry yeast
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
2 large eggs at room temperature
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 scant cup strawberry jam, well-stirred
4-6 medium fresh or frozen strawberries, sliced or quartered
Glaze: 1 cup confectioners' sugar; 3 tablespoons cream or milk, and a splash of pure vanilla extract

There's a little village outside of Chicago called Long Grove that has lots of quaint shops, a covered bridge and an old cemetery. Many of the shops are now gone and shuttered but I remember as a child going to the Apple Haus bakery and getting the strawberry bread, my mom's favorite. Oh how I have wished I could go back and get some. It was almost exactly the same as yours! Well now I can make some! God bless you Kevin!
My sister is allergic to eggs and the substitute she uses for baking is Vinegar and baking soda or applesauce, sometimes yogurt. I have had her bread and didn’t even notice . Thank you for another beautiful recipe. I just wish I had been watching you years ago. You just popped up the month of October. I was like who is this. I am so glad I found you! ♥️🙏🏼♥️ Also have you tried with chocolate and right before you put it in oven add extra chocolate chips. Still glaze it at the end. My grandma did So many versions of this. I am so glad you have made a video for us all. ♥️🌹🌸

This bread is exquisite! It looks like an elaborate pastry that you can't wait to taste. The dough was so smooth and easy to work with that I can't wait to try this. I catch myself watching more and mire at one sitting. It is hard to put it down. I really really enjoy listening and watching you cook. I was a little perturbed that Mr fox didn't come to the table to enjoy the egg and bacon cups. He couldn't pull himself away from the red Sox game. You decided to eat in the garden. Oh well. Looks delicious. I learned to make vanilla extract from Camille Glenn’s book. She used cognac to steep the cut up beans. Make your eyes roll back in your haid!

Twisted 😅. Made this for my elderly neighbors that I cook for a few times a week. It was made with my homemade jam and what a yummy bread. D and R also enjoyed it very much. Oh my gracious! At first before it was baked, it looked like an open surgery with the red jam😄but I knew this dessert, after being baked was going to look every bit as good as what you presented. Oh my...delicious! I adore pastries with the jam and glaze so much. I would really enjoy that. All I can say is Mr. Fox must feel he's in heaven every time you put a plate in front of him😄. I used to have a boyfriend who was an amazing, natural chef. I was trained by an English father to know my etiquette while dining. But when I ate the food this boyfriend made, he'd get mad at me for smacking my lips unconsciously! I became totally unaware of the sounds and kept repeating it. I worried it would end our relationship!😄🤣 it was the oddest thing. The relationship did end, not as a result, but it would be funny telling people how it ended if it did!😆

An easy way to get ready for oven is to roll it up and twist it on baking paper and then lift baking paper onto pizza tray and then bake in oven 😂❤ it would taste great made with lemon curd too

cooking this now, made the dough plantbased, added some chia seeds and flaxseed to the dough because i do not use egg and butter, i added dates in replacement of sugar, and added fruit jam as a filling,
