Hi Kevin. Love your channel. I iron altar linens for my church. They are made of finest linen. After washing I roll the wet linens in a towel and place in plastic bag in refrigerator overnight. Then I iron them with a dry iron and keep going over each area until dry. They come out very crisp and wrinkle free. Hope this helps you. Your fan Pam from Florida. ❤

A genteel Southern lady taught me to spread out wet/damp linen napkins on a flat surface (counter top) and take your hand and smooth it out flat. When it dries, it is if it is pressed with an iron. Over the year, I have done so, and it always makes me smile as it reminds me of her wisdom and her friendship 😊
    Only works on 100% linen.
Thank you for always brightening my day when watching your latest as I learn something worthwhile and useful 😊

I agree with you about ironing. It's one of the first chores my dad taught me to do when I was little. He was very particular about how his handkerchiefs and shirts were ironed. I've always enjoyed it--I think it's because the process brings order out of the chaos of wrinkles! It's very satisfying! Lol

Hello Kevin from ⛵⛵ Lakes Region New Hampshire. Your linen napkins have brought back a fond memory of my mother. She would take wrinkled items and sprinkle them with a shaker bottle filled with warm water. The items were placed into a pillow case and stored in the bottom section of a kitchen cupboard for a brief period.
Then she would take them out individually and steam iron them....

Back before the days of 'permanent press' finishes on fabrics, a batch of line dried, starched items would be sprinkled with water, balled up, and all placed inside a bag that was kept in the refrigerator to keep them from drying out while doing a day's ironing. You could buy a corked sprinkler head that perfectly fit a 32 oz. glass coke bottle that was made at that time. I'm so glad those days are over.Your silver tray shined up beautifully. The tacos look fabulous. I'd imagine those onions give them a delightful crunch. Great video.

My family has always used cloth napkins, we were raising the in the time of the mother earth craze. I never used paper towels either. It's not much work to throw a few napkins in the wash, the same with dish clothes, towels and cleaning rags. You always set such a beautiful table. It makes the food taste better.

Once again - I wish I were your neighbor! What a lovely way to spend the day! LOL, ironing? Not my favorite chore, but I do it. My mother would take in laundry when I was a child, and I worked as a maid One summer when I was 13. Mom would have me iron and, of course, I had to iron for my employer. Linen is brutal! I remember using a soda bottle with a sprinkle stopper - Worked like a charm! Now we just use spray bottles.

( Don't attain them, I hasten to add, but you, Kevin, certainly do!).

Kevin, you live such a gracious life. Please don’t change … ever. You seem to easily cultivate a garden. In SW Florida, a garden is a battle: the weeds, the insects, the heat, the hurricanes. I grew up in Michigan and my mother always had a lovely garden. We grow other things in SW Florida. It’s not as beautiful as your gardens. We have the ghost orchid, but you have to wade into an alligator-infested swamp to see it. I’m lucky enough to have a Clyde Butcher photo of a ghost orchid. I visited his studio in the Everglades and was eaten by mosquitoes. Not just a bite, but a swarm of them on my body and up my nose.

I have found once I launder the napkins take them out of the washer immediately, hang onto a drying rack smooth out wrinkles and that takes care of most wrinkles. Any wrinkles remains easily iron out. Napkins as well as bed sheets iron best when damp! Keep up the great content

I don't love ironing but as a quilter it is essential. I find that my best technique is to use the right iron. Rowenta makes good irons for domestic use but to quickly tackle linen and other challenging fabrics nothing beats an iron meant for tailors/commercial garment makers. It made all the difference for me. Costs just a bit more about than a higher-end home iron.

I love ironing too! Whether I'm finishing a sewing project, ironing a blouse or (napkins lol) - I feel a sense of pride in myself and my home as I imagine the impression of care that I've taken to bring beauty to my friend's and family's lives. It's a simple gesture, but to me, important. Does that make any sense? Lol It's a relaxing task too.😊

I have not had any luck with the wrinkle spray. It's also heavily scented. Ironing's the best way and it's therapeutic. I love your videos. I'm always searching for new recipes. I'm going to try the tacos the next time I make Mexican food.

I love your videos. I am going to make the pickled onions for our next taco night. One of your older videos you made tea sandwiches. My daughter and I made them and had tea and scones all your recipes. Thank you so much for sharing ♥️
