No he wouldn't. He is 5th in the AL in batting average behind Bichette, Yandy, Yoshida, and Naylor. He is also behind Adolis Garcia for RBI. Still an INSANE season so far

I like your enthusiasm Rich and I have never watch so much baseball in my life thanks to Shohei BUT I don’t they make it because Houston is playing well and so is Toronto. I hope they do make it because I spent so much money going to see Shohei!

NEVER believe in the Angels.. Don't do it. Last game, they had a 3-1 lead in the 9th inning and the closer gave up a grand slam. They lost 5-3 due to having no bullpen. The manager doesn't deserve to keep his job after this year. He took Ohtani out of the game with finger and hand cramps... Do you think Nolan Ryan or even Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer are coming out of a game for that? When he's throwing 14 pitches an inning, and completely shutting down the Mariners?
Shohei is one thing, but taking out Lopez after a 12 pitch easy 8th where he was throwing 100+ MPH gas and was locating is inexcusable. There is no law saying "thou shalt not let a untouchable reliever go 2 innings." Instead he pulls the dominator for a guy who gets shelled for 4 runs and can't find the freaking strike zone.
With management like that, they won't win a playoff game (unless they let Ohtani stay in a start, then it's a mabe).
The Angels are a 70 win team without Ohtani, and they will probably finish 86-76 with him , just missing the playoffs.
Unfortunately, the Angels lost today for game 2 miserably, driving in a single run from a fielder's choice. Unless they start scoring with RISP nothing is going to happen. It's very frustrating to root for the Angels.

last i checked, you need more than one player to be a good team. If ohtani gets intentionally walked all the time, there goes their offense.
They need the others to pickup the hitting, many teams specially AL teams(since they are all jocking for positions in the AL standings) will opt to walk shohei to lessen his impact.
no he was not intentionally walked all the time, he sees plenty of strikes, he just can't hit them

@@caseypayne5138 I don’t think Moniak hits well under pressure at this moment. When they walk Ohtani to face Moniak, it brings a lot of pressure. I think Moniak hits well somewhere else other than the 3rd spot.
