  • This is Leica's MP, which is probably the most expensive film camera currently on sale.
Rather than having cutting-edge features, it is a well-made M series that inherited many aspects of the Leica M3 released 70 years ago, which led to the current Leica.
This camera is a special order model ordered as Leica's customization option, a la carte, but the skin was not in good condition from the time I first received it. There were peelings and surface wrinkles in several parts. When I looked at it during the replacement process, I saw that the surface skin was made of real leather. However, you can see that the leather is very easily torn - this characteristic is a characteristic of poor quality leather that has been polished off the most dense and surface-forming tissue of the leather, called the dermis, and coated with pigment in the form of a coating. If it is well adhered to the flat surface, there will be no problem until the coating film reaches its end of life, but the adhesion was also very bad.
It was replaced with a shrunken calf gray color skin used by the French luxury brand H brand, which never fails to match with silver. :)
