- Today we are going to see how a fisherman would stand up against the entire hoenn region cinematic cheese did this with a bug catcher in pokemon fire red so what do you think is a fisherman better or is a bug catcher better. leave ur guesses down below. fisherman have acces to loads of pokemon but who is going to be the mvp let's find out.

He's a fisherman because he catches Pokémon with a fishing rod, so Kyogre is just a forbidden water type, fish or not.

Great video man. It’s a great concept for a challenge. Lots of different Pokémon combinations you can use to make it your own. Would like to try this one some time.
Glad to see a youtuber do a challenge like this. I always do my playthroughs as one of the games archetypes and it really adds some depth to the game

I like these challenges. The themes are nice and they are not too difficult when you get past certain gym/type thresholds.
Could you change the settings to not allow switching between trainer's pokemon? That would make it so much more exciting.

8:52 my favorite gen 3 Pokemon is Ralts. But it's also my favorite all time Pokemon. It's very cute and I can't resist wanting to catch one on every play through if the game has one. (Which if it doesn't I just give myself one anyways.) The fact that it's evolution Gardevoir is a beast is nice as well.

Lanturn would have been a great Pokemon in this challenge as it’s water and electric, even though its stats are meh, it’s useful due to its typing

Tailow. Always loved em. So easy to Train and are such a useful asset in the game. Plus it’s blue and learns wing attack way too early, kinda like ratatta with hyper fang but imo way better.
Well we have water types in fisherman... Swampert is water, Zwiggo is Swampert. So I'd say Fisherman is better than Bug Catcher (maybe you could do hiker next and have things like Onix, Machamp, Golem, etc)

It bugged me so much how underleveled gayrados was compared to the rest of his team.
I mean, if you've got a HM slave you're not going to be leveling it up.
Play as an Ace Trainer, where your team is strong against whatever is strong against the stuff in your area: use fire and ground on a water route to deal with grass and electric; grass and fire at the rock gym to deal with water and grass; etc.

I have a idea because of what he said about Rollout, why not see if you can beat whatever Pikemon game with moves that do more damage the more you use it. I don't know the technical term for it, but moves like Ice Ball and Rollout

Using Milotic would make the challenge way too easy, he already has Wailord and Gyarados on his team which are not exactly weak.

@@xifuko2545 That's like saying chocolate doesn't taste good because it's sweet. Milotic has great typing, is bulky as fuck and has access to some pretty decent moves. It's not like it would break the game, but waltzing through Hoenn with Gyarados, Wailord and Milotic is hardly a challenge.
Can you beat black and white with only a tynamo? That would be difficult!

Last time I played Hoenn, I tried to use an all rock team in Alpha Sapphire. All traded, so if I overlevelled they'd disobey. It was Gen VI and I _still_ struggled.
I've beaten the remake with a mono normal team. It was awesome.

As far as my favorite Gen 3 pokes go, it’s Claydol, Slakoth/Vigoroth, Aggron, Lileep/Cradily, and Relicanth.

I like a lot of gen 3 pokemon but Sableye has got to be my favorite.
I think the next challenge involves a trainer that loves shorts, because they're comfy and easy to wear. FRLG or Unova would be a good setting for a Youngster challenge.
Gyarados would also do really well with "Fire Blast" ...

Wailord the correct pokedex entry: Wailord is basically a giant airplane, and all other pokemon all board this whale to fly to other regions.
As long as you use Surf not only it's possible but really easy.
Yeah I mean water pokemon are kind of OP in general, maybe you should try the same challenge but let's do this without evolving any of them. I think you'll still not have to difficult a time.
