In two and a half minutes, Regal put over the entire BCC stable as well as MJF, gave a great explanation with a twist for a seemingly random (even if it was foreshadowed) heel turn, and made a great farewell to the company. Even if he doesn't come back, this was a great way to exit.

@@derekmarshall5659 I think that would be great and you know two healthy companies are actually good for business. I hope TK and TH can actually sit down and come up with a cross promotion PPV and have a cross over. I appreciate agreeing who goes over in the main event could be tricky sensitively but have an even card below as well and everyone is happy. Imagine that?! MJF versus Roman Reigns. Hell you could have Roman go over because of the bloodline and show MJFs tactic of not having allies is the problem. Then the next night he tries to build bridges with the rest of the locker room. No one else wants tos stand with MJF. Until a hooded guy steps out the audience and raises his fists into a cross. "I'll stand with MJF" MJF pulls the hood down and it's a returning CM Punk. One can dream right? The Iconoclasts. The pipebombers, etc.

That last lesson is one I get so much.
Growing up in the ghetto of The Bronx, dealing with the sorts of people you do in those days. You always had to be one step ahead of things, you always had to keep eyes in the back of your head. Cause the moment a person gets that edge on you, they blindside you. It's over. Now whether that's for good or for the time being, it all depends on you and what the person did.
Always stay ahead. Always be vigilant. That's what it means to fight, to survive and to win.

Every single wrestler that looks to jump ship and make a move, take note at how Regal did things. There was no bad blood, there was no animosity, no “shoot interviews.” He wanted to go back to be with his son, he wanted to go back to be with one of his best friends, and a company he spent two decades with. He did business the right way.
I also give AEW and Tony Khan full credit. There was no dirtiness, no petty BS. They did right by Regal and allowed him to go out with dignity.
This was classy as it gets by both sides. Many people in this business, promoters and wrestlers alike, need to take notes.

Love Regal.Shame he won't continue his run in AEW. No doubt his really good mate HHH will have him back. Just amazing seeing Regal's value and how he has literally taken AEW a step up. As a Blackpool lad myself I always followed Regal's career. He admits he never had the ego to chase titles but what a player he has been. One of the only men that links the old wrestling ways to the modern. He did both. A great actor with genius comedic timing he was always a joy to watch. His complex European wrestling style was too much for modern US Wrestling. Often the brunt of comedic sketches it should not be forgotten that Regal is a big man and a strong man with an encyclopedia of real wrestling moves and holds. It would be a tough and very skilled man to take the real Darren Matthews out even today.
