I will donate even though I live on the other side of the country. You have given me so many hours of entertainment through the years that it is only fair to give back. Also, I love cats.
Look above the Brooklyn Library door. front and center is archy and mehitabel, the literary cockroach and his friend mehitabel, the Brooklyn alley cat whose life was often dominated by "one damned kitten after another" this advocacy for spay/neuter was in newspaper articles a century ago, and the book form of the articles has NEVER gone out of print.

I have 12 plus cats mostly kittens around my home that I feed daily. I've looked for help but the shelters around my area want to put them down. It's nice to know that there are people out there that have a heart. Keep doing what you do.❤❤
You could still TNR them yourself! It would be a committed undertaking but it's totally worth it
Im just above poughkeepsie in red hook rural, and we have strays for sure, i feed a few, but some times a really friendly cat shows up and i call aspac, but they hang up on me, and these other felines for the most part are already spayed or neutered, which makes me wonder if someone is dumping them in our area. It breaks my heart and ive pleaded for a small amount of money to build a shelter on my property from go fund me, and nothing happened with it. That just sickened me. I just wish this would stop, ive seen them just disappear and not everyone is kind towards them.

I think a great idea wpuld be to start a jar for veterinary funds in more bodegas simular to a tip jar! im sure the local community would be more than willing to chip in and help out! thank you guys for doing what you do!

I really love y'all and I respect the hell out of what you do. Thank you! I don't live in NY but I've setup feeding stations for stray/feral cats in my area and worked with an organization to get them TNR'd. We even managed to get several of the kittens socialized and adopted out but, sadly, there were a few we just couldn't help in time. I share your frustration and profound sadness when, no matter how much you feel you've accomplished, it doesn't feel like you've put a dent in the surface. Kudos to you and keep up the great work!❤❤❤
Hopefully we could have more affordable spay and neuter clinics within the neighborhood. A lot of city governments here in my country offer free spay and neuter services, but they can't offer that as often as we need. We do have an affordable clinic here though. It charges around $10 for cats, but sadly they are the only clinic that offers that affordable service.
It's so good to see a group looking at how to get at the root of the problem. I think this will be an immense service to the human and cat community. If it is successful, I hope that it will be used as a blueprint for initiatives in other areas. It is so easy to blame humans for this problem, but the reality is that a lot of people who care don't have the money for spaying and neutering, let alone regular healthcare.
I love this project and will support it however I can. I hope others are able to see the benefit and support it as well. Any chance of getting some bigger business support? Seems like a golden opportunity.

WE NEED ONE IN EVERY BIG CITY FOR OUR KITTIES.
Also I want to start the idea of people having garage cats! My GF has a cat that is spayed and has lived in her garage for YEARS. She loves it and gets to go out at night to hunt (well I guess that is where she goes). We put a heater out there in the winter for her and if it gets too cold she gets to come in the laundry room (but we are in Houston so it doesnt get SUPER cold (well other then last year lol)). We also leave her kitty food and water if you were wondering.

Affordable vet care across the nation period !! It is really way out of hand on what the vets charge ! People want to adopt and should take proper care of their fur and feather family members but it has become very difficult for many, and of course the animals suffer. Vets should offer free and or deeply discounted safe sterilization services.

Much as I love your channel, it does nothing in my area. I was arrested for taking a cat to the shelter. Hot summer day, I left water for the cat in the car. They wanted my I.D., I refused and said I just wanted to help the cat. I have 2 cats already, I don't need another, even if I want to help them all. They called the police, and I had to go through the whole thing of them questioning me, cuffing me, un-cuffing me. The whole time the cat was in my hot car... I showed the police video of me taking the cat and putting it in a carrier.
This whole time, I saw 2 women taking a dog and a cat into the shelter for adoption... Stop the BS people. Guys love pets and want to help them too. Stop punishing us for wanting to help!
Those disgusting shop owners that use and abuse cats, they work for them catching mice yet don’t feed them, give them vet care. Let them breed. Can you imagine living in the basement trying to survive in pain. Hope those people rot in hell, x

I would go out of my way to shop at a place that had a kitty. It was never a thought with gas stations and dogs a few years ago.
