I took in a big tough street cat..that never knew home life. He watched me in the garden playing with my cats and one day decided he needed that. He is now my baby...and he isn’t so tough anymore.
Adam Persson I was feeding him at the back door for three years so he grew use to me. The vet told me he could never be a house cat because he was a street fighter..but slowly over time..he watched my family interact with the other gentle cats..and he accepted our love. It does amazing things you know. He is still a grump and hates to be picked up..and I bear many scars..but we just love him.
NeuronalAxon it’s been four years since we took him in. He would sit in the garden and watch them..so he knew this was their home and he was the outsider, so he never tried to bully them. They accepted him because they were use to seeing him. I think he was tired of the struggle of being a street cat. Now he hates being alone and has to be near his humans all the time. I think he appreciates a loving home and food served to him.
Yeah, Its very cool that some still can be easily trappable. Some ferals can be TNRed but later anytime they still may be in need of retrapping bc of dental issues, infections, etc
@@LadyDelSangue87 I got the cheapest Havahart trap the first time I tried to trap my now formerly feral cat. It was the collapsible one for just $20, I literally watched the cat just shove its head under the door and squeeze out. Get a good solid trap! It took me months to get another opportunity because he wouldn't go in or under a trap. I spent the time plying him with treats and eventually petting him, but get a good trap.
I didn't think his veneer was all that tough. He seemed tame and friendly from the get-go. He didn't freak out when trapped, either. Maybe he knew it was Step 1 to getting the help he needed.
@@ewelinanajgebauer8862 OK. What matters most is we love kitties and Duke was saved. :-) One of our cats is a stray we took in about 2 years ago. He's similar to Duke in that he just showed up one day.
@@dragonsember It's sad to think he was abandoned. He was definitely someone's cat but the fact he wasn't neutered shows negligence. I'd like to think he just got lost, but I'm afraid he was abandoned. Fortunately, he found his way to Flatbush Cats and was saved.
I wish NYC (or the state) would recognize the socioeconomic benefits of funding TNR and fostering efforts. This would likely attract more people to get involved in saving lives.
And getting ahead of the problem instead of settling for routinely killing more and more companion animals. They'll just keep showing up until grown adults realize it's cruel to let kittens be born into a world were there's not enough people to love and feed them.
Nah they are more worried about blowing thousands if not millions of dollars the welfare leaches and the dope heads who will never change. Those people can fend for themselves, these poor creatures of God in the terrible streets can't not against the elements and evil humans. Things like this would be much more of a beneficial and better use of money.
@@crazymixture57 you're a sad human. believing the worst of other people and that they can't change. people like you are why we are fighting so hard for medicare for all. you think these people don't deserve help when/if they need it. sad.
I don't know what tugs at my heartstrings more: cats who have always lived on the street and never felt human affection, or cats who once did live with people but ended up on the street. Both are awful but the latter hits me right in the gut because I can't stand the thought that someone who was supposed to be responsible for them let them down like that. Really hoping I can adopt a rescue cat someday.
I have a cat who used to be feral. She's still a bit feisty and that's ok. Whenever I see her play or try to cuddle with me I just feel my heart explode. Feral cats are difficult but sometimes you can give them a chance. It took me months to be able to pet her, but now she wants all the pets
Brooklynn Hall Feral cats are in their natures essentially wild animals and that’s the only life that they know. They they have shorter, harsher lives without human help, but aren’t missing being a pet anymore than a raccoon, a squirrel, or a bird would. Abandoned pet cats have to struggle to live in an environment that they haven’t been taught to, wondering where home is. Wondering why the people that were always there for them are no longer around. Many of them don’t survive long. And the ones that do may end up being the parents of more feral cats (cats that are raised to adulthood without human contact)
Some of us didn't choose it to be like that. My kitty accidentally got out 5 months ago and I have been *desperately* searching for him ever since. I'm lost, heartsick and broken. I've done everything I can possibly think of to find my good boy. But I keep running into dead ends. I've put up posts on every lost pet website that I know exists. My local paper, the Humane Society, Craigs list and I put up fliers in my area and in small businesses that are near my house where my kitty was last seen. I cry every single day because I miss my sweet boy and I don't know what else to do. I'm scared and frightened. Because I don't know if I'll ever find him. And the not knowing is horrible as well. If something happened to him, I'll never know. How will I ever find out what happened to him? I keep praying and praying that I'll be able to find my precious Jeb.🙏💖😿
I know what you mean. Yesterday I looked out the window and saw cat tracks in 4 inches of snow and hated it. Knowing that a cat was cold and and not loved. My wife and I always say "if we had the money we would try to say as many cats as possible". So far we have eight fur babies.
I love how friendly the colony cats are. They understand that you aren’t going to hurt them, or send them off to a strange indoor life. When they accidentally trap themselves, they just looked at you confused, and then you let them go and they went on with their day. It’s so amazing how, despite them being technically feral, they have so much trust in you. And respect.
@AlexanderPlatzBerlin I actually adopted 2 kittens for a week and they costed me $100 each and $150 for their stuff. Donated $25 when I adopted and $25 when I returned. The shelter workers weren’t too happy with me even tho I lost $400+ and took care of two cats for them for a week😔
@Altijd Melle Thanks. I would have kept them, but it’s hard to take care of them when I have work and school. Also I may leave the country once a year. Didn’t think about that before I adopted
As soon as he got inside, away from the other cats, he seemed to relax so much! Even at the vet, he seemed calmer than expected. He was definitely someone's pet before.

The 'new cat on my block' from three years ago is watching me from the hallway. He was dumped in my area, a declawed and neutered house cat. Into a rural area of SW Wisconsin. In winter.
Same here! Poor baby! I know that area (being Madison born). My boy was dumped by his mistress on the porch of the guy who is human slave to his brother and sister. B🤬 dumped him, in his carrier, on J’s porch and texted “If you don’t want him to freeze, you’d better bring him in.” J was at work where he’s a sous chef in a downtown hotel. Fortunately he got home before kitty froze, but he was really cold. B🤬 had never bothered to get him fixed or get shots, so J had to. He’d hoped that my boy fit back in with his litter mate brother and sister, but his fuzz bro wasn’t having it. We ended getting him on Mother’s Day because J, a friend of our daughter, just couldn’t deal with fuzz bro being such an ass and my boy having to live in only a tiny bedroom. Nowadays he gets to go outside to play in snow, but only in his cat jacket on his leash, and only for short periods when it’s cold. There’s a special place in hell for people like his former mistress.
Declawing is barbaric, equivalent to having the first joint of all your fingers amputated. Anyone who would mutilate an animal like that should never be allowed to keep any. So glad you found him and gave him the home he deserves.
Jeff Aller Well to be honest I’m already crazy 🤫 I have always gotten my cats from outside but I haven’t been fortunate enough lately to find a new best friend.
My friend feeds approximately 300 feral cats in a 7 mile radius of where she used to live. I help feed 80 of them, or 16 colonies, one or two nights a week. Ugh and here comes kitten season. I don’t have the energy anymore to help trap. But have been waiting months now for reservations in a Feral Cat Coalition clinic. It is imperative to get them fixed. I’ve been looking after Ferals and doing TNR now for 15 years. These are very inspiring videos of what the younger generation is doing for street cats. Thank you, Flatbush Cats.
One rainy night early December of last year I went to go put gas in my car. At the gas station I heard the ugliest cat cry I ever heard. At a car near me was a cute tiny orange tabby. He was shaking (I assumed by the cold) and I felt bad for him so I placed him in my car and put the heater on for a bit. He was dirty and smelled like piss all over. So I decided to take him home just for the night until the rain was over. Now he's the family cat. We take him for walks and he loves attention. I still don't have enough money to neuter/vaccinate him, but I'm waiting for the chance. I also want to register him! Watching these videos always make me think of my new cat :) (also now that he's chubby I realize he's full grown. He was just too skinny back then) Edit: He is neutered, everyone. Lol
Contact the SPCA or animal shelter(s)/rescuers in your area. They might be able to help with free castration or at a modest cost for low-income people. You can also try to find a benefactor on FB or do a GoFundMe. Thank you for having offered him a home.
I just took in another female cat from around the apts where I live. Someone moved out and left her behind. We have a lady who cares for the cat colony here; she was happy to see me take in Holly (named her that because it was Christmas time when I got her. She makes 6 female cats in my home. She fit in straight away. I get her spay on the 22nd of this month. Im trying very hard to only "foster" her and find her a home, but it gets harder to give her up each passing day, lol.
i know what you mean....im failure at fostering....luckily I have one big male that makes a stink when I let the new cat into the house...so I make me take them to rescue centers instead
I just hate people, who move out and leave their animals behind. They disgust me. Hope Karma gets them, and one day they will be left behind and lonely.
I don't think it's an easy choice for the owners.. It would haunt me all my life, but sometimes you end up down the road with choices you would rather not make at all. I feel for them, too. I hope there are initiatives to help people struggling caring for their pets.
There are definitely people who straight up abandon their cats and toss them away. But its not always the case. Was in a bad car accident years ago, our cat got out. Never found any sign of blood or anything for the cat, but we never found him despite looking for him every time we came back to the area (was quite a ways from where we were staying). But we hoped he found a good home because Piorrot was awesome. Other cats, like kittens are sometimes dumped off because they aren't wanted. Or sometimes a cat will run away. But no matter the cause, they all deserve a chance and a home.
Yes!!! I owe my two kitties so much for helping me as a person.💗 I don’t understand people who abandon the animals in their lives.... I will NEVER understand it at all.
@@thesummerland6165 They really are. My ducks have a way of knowing when I'm upset, my imprinted boy Wobbles runs to me at the sound of me crying, quacking up a storm until I pick him up, where he'll snuggle with me until the tears subside. He'll even nibble my cheeks, trying to get rid of them. It's amazing. Even though animaIs cannot cry, and have no concept of what emotional crying is, they still understand what human tears signify and want to make it go away. I love my furkids and featherpuppies so, so much. 💜
Nothing can be more deceptively cruel for a cat or dog than to make them your pet, part of your home and then one day just set them out on the street or in a field or forest. TNR PLEASE!!! Free up those shelters with loving, caring homes. No one wants to be abandoned or deceived. 😿✌️🐾❤

@@reference2me Yes, so do mine. The latest addition, a 4 month old, integrated with the other 2 in just 2 weeks. We're one big happy family and I'm an honorary cat that gets to be groomed in the morning by the little one before her breakfast :-)
reference2me I have four cats too! All of ours are rescues. Our oldest boy, Saffy, was born to a feral mother near my Pop’s property. My 26 year old sister was 9 at the time, so he gave him to her as a gift (which isn’t a smart or good thing to do, but my family quickly got attached to him). He is currently 17 years old, and is so sweet. My next cat, Geanie, was a kitten, and had always been a stray her whole life. My mum and sister had tried to feed her and capture her multiple times but with no luck. Apparently, my mum had taken me outside (I was less than a year old at the time), and she came running up to my mum, and started licking me. Till this day, she is still really close to me. ever since then she has been apart of my family. Our next cat, Kitty (the cat in my profile picture), and her sister Frankie, were born to a feral mother. However, they were rescued and taken to a shelter. Frankie was already adopted by the time we got there, so we adopted Kitty. She is so sweet and cute. And my final cat, Blizzard (I have a montage of her on my channel), was a stray living under our neighbour’s house. She is a ragdoll, so it’s really weird that she was a stray. We’re not quite sure what her story is, but she was already spayed when we rescued her, so we believe she abandoned, because we put up multiple missing pet ads on websites. She was only a year old at the time, and it’s taken us quite a while to make her feel comfortable, but now she is perfectly happy and content being part of the family.
Watching Duke come out of his shell & eventually offering his foster mum the coveted head bump was beautiful. When I adopted my 2 they were terrified of people after being abused - the best advice the rescue centre gave me was to just let them learn to trust in their own time. Took a few months but eventually they did a complete 180 & became the sweetest, most affectionate boys. That was 12 years ago - as I’m typing this one of them is curled up on my legs, fast asleep while his brother is lying on the cushions behind my head, purring into my ear. Rescue cats every time for me ❤️❤️
@@rihannathompson8993 That is bullshit... if you come on hard times, there are plenty of places like cat/dog rescues that will take them and no kill shelters that will take them no questions asked and re-home them. There is absolutely no excuse for abandoning a pet. I can't believe you would even come up with such an excuse. People with kids come on hard times so often but do they put them out on the street???
@@MsBAustralia i don't think they meant it as an excuse. it _is_ incredibly stupid that someone would just set their cat free instead of surrendering it to a shelter or adopting it out, but just because it's wrong doesn't mean people don't do it, unfortunately.
Pretty sure that's how I ended up with mine. She showed up refused to leave and I had 3 extra kittens a month later. She is good around people so not sure if she was abandoned or a house cat that just got lost. Have had her since 2012 and no way would I let her freely roam . Plus she has a defective purr switch that is stuck in the on position! When time for a weekend snooze I grab her and put her on my chest . 10 minutes and sleeping. Not even when she wakes me up at a really stupid time so she can get comfortable to sleep I get annoyed for maybe 15 seconds. She purrs all is forgiven and back to sleep!😺
Your knowledge and instinct were correct. Duke's behavior while you fostered him is proof that he once lived with people caretakers before he was homeless on the street. God bless you for rescuing him and i hope you found a wonderful Fur-ever home for him.👍❤🐱
When I lived at home with my parents, I was in an area with abandoned and neglected cats. Had one who sheepishly showed up on my doorstep one cold, winters evening meowing for some dinner......a few years later and he practically owned the place! Underneath a tough veneer can be a big softy just wanting some love and a bowl of nosh, just like Duke.
We have 6 cats. One of them showed up in our yard in the Spring about 3 years ago and hung around the house all summer, moving into our wood shed. Now he lives inside with us and is one of the best cats we ever had. He's shown no interest in going outside again. He loves being an indoor cat.
Interestingly enough, the same really does apply to people. Those of us who shun social contact tend to lose the ability to even participate in normal human social behaviors. Use it or lose it really does apply.
Love what you do , Love the calm narration and your voice and also love the music. Uplifts me to see the cats being treated with kindness and respect. Thank you.
Hi. I wanted first to say "thank You", that ppl like You are living on this world. That's really awesome what You're doin' ❤ I remember when I found once a cat next to a junk place without an ear (where the vet told me that someone 100% cautted it him off "for fun"), and his hair and skin under it was burned (probably from cigarettes, where it may be that ppl who worked on the junk did it to him - I am not sure). The cat used to bite, hiss me and other ppl. Anyway I took him to my flat and called him Manu~. I remember that the first days was really hard, he used to bite me for a long month and hissin, he used to hide always under my sofa in the corner (where noone could reach him) so I had always put a bowl of water and meat next to the sofa, cuz he NEVER came out when someone was inside. Then one day when I came from my studies back (it was like 3weeks after he lived with me) and came into the livingroom - he was sittin on the sofa. I was thinking that he will like ALWAYS just get into panic and rush under the sofa - BUT he was still siting. I was then really suprised and excited in the same time. I decided then take food and slowly with gentle moves sit next to him. He went a lil bit away (but still was sittin' chilled on the sofa). Tho when I tried to pet him he hissed and scratched my hand. So I just left the bowl next to the sofa and just left him. and THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR ME was after ~1week since he didn't run away from me. I came back home and was writing something on my calender in the corridor next to the out-doors (I guess an exam date). I was totaly focused on my things... but then... I felt like a softly cuddly snuggly ball moving between my legs - it was Manu. I just looked down and I was TOTALY stuned/astonished and couldn't move. I said after 3min "Awwww... hiii, are You hungry?" and he meow'ed me back (the first time when he meow'ed to me friendly). Then I wanted to pet him, he dodged slightly first my hand but then callmed down and just chilled' I moved to th kitchen (he followed me), grabbed the food, water... went to the livingroom and he was eating and I was just sitting next to him on the sofa and watching how he eats. Then after he ate his food... he jumped on my lap and wanted to be pet. I was just crying from these emotions. Now I feel like he trusts me not even 100%, but 1 000%. He always knows when I feel sad, or when I am sick he comes and lies just next to me in the bed and NEVER lefts me then alone , he won't even go eat his food till I won't stay up from the bed. When someone comes to visit me and knocks in my door, so my cat is the first one by the doors. When I open them he reacts aggressive (ONLY when my friend touches me, like:. shaking my hand) so he hisses. Then he calms down, when he sees that I accept my friend (a random person for him)... but he won't let anyone to sit next to me. Like Manu~ must ALWAYS sit next to me/ on my lap. But when he sees a random (my friend) next to me, he's then just staring on my freind 24h/7 like a stone statue... just staring and watching every move. When my friend makes to fast moves so Manu is hissing on him. Of course my cat likes now some of my friend too (after they visited me many times and started to pet Manu~ and play with him) I feel that Manu~ has really huge feelings to me. Tho he may sometimes scare my BF haha XD I LOVE HIM (Manu~) ❤
4:26 😭😭Poor Duke just looks so defeated! He probably was thinking this was the end of the line for him, he didnt look happy at all! Im so glad that wasnt the case though!
I'm so sad someone might have abandoned this gentleman, although he is happy now you could see how hurt he was from being left behind, he was so cautious of everything, not asking for food, trying to stay away from trouble. Poor baby lost all his confidence, glad he regained it. Thank you guys for helping this lil gentleman
this is why spaying/neutering is so important, and some people don’t understand that. if you really can’t spay/neuter your cat then you really shouldn’t let them outside
Ya? Who gives u the right to control their lives exactly? Would u like to live gender-less? Heck, even rapists or serial rapists don't get neutered which they most definitely should be. Y can't there simply be a procedure like vasectomy/tubectomy for pets? This neutering thing enrages me so much everytime!
sahin “Pets don’t have any concept of sexual identity or ego. Neutering will not change a pet’s basic personality.” from: www.arlboston.org/spay-and-neuter-myths-debunked/ Another thing to add, *DO NOT* compare pet neutering/spaying to godamn *rapists* . Spaying/Neutering is a means to control the over population of stray cats, and something to *prevent* more cats becoming strays. Rapists, have no correlation to this subject. I don’t know what you’re trying to say, but it sure sounds like BS. Of course, you’re free to have your opinion, but don’t try to bring in another topic that has nothing to do with this current topic; which is the overpopulation of cats, that some unfortunately end up as strays. What they’re trying to do is bring awareness to the issue.

Same here. I feed up to 20 strays. There are always the same 10-12 that stick around, but others come and go. They get wet and dry food. One feral cat had kittens and she abandoned them. I took them in and bottle/syringe fed them. I tried to get her to care for the runt because I was scared she just wouldn’t make it. She took her to some thick brush of cactus and then we had a horrible storm. I couldn’t stand knowing that tiny baby was out there. I went walking in the pouring rain to see if I could find her and she was screaming bloody murder. I started calling out kitty, kitty, kitty and that little runt came crawling over cactus and into the rain to me!! She has thrived and is the most loving cat. She will lick my mouth too death. She wants to be on my shoulders or back when I come to clean their boxes and fed them. I keep the kittens confined to one room Because they are little gremlins. I also have 3 rescue dogs. The kittens have been spayed, neutered, dewormed, vaccinated and had their front paws declawed. They had it all done at once and very young. They were completely fine the morning I picked them up. Very healthy and happy and LOVING!! Now, I’m hoping to rehouse them to good families. ❤️ I’ve managed to spay/neuter a lot of the strays, but several more need to be trapped. The mother of these kittens is one that still needs to be spayed. She’s just now after 6 months letting me barely pet her when she eats. 🤞🏻 I can get her fixed before she gets pregnant again.
Diane d'Lune - I have the best vets in Texas and if it was inhumane they wouldn’t do it. It’s done differently than long ago and the kittens were running, jumping, making bread the day I picked them up. You would never have thought they just had two surgeries. Now, they can be the sweet, loving cats they are without drawing blood or mutilating furniture. ❤️

I am glad someone else just in general refers to a friendly, sweet cat as “bubba” too I don’t know where this came from but I always call animals this lol
Duke was the name of a cat I had nearly 20 years ago. He looks fairly similar to this Duke. Just not as much white on him. My Duke had the white paws, (all his children did too), a white tuft on his chest and stomach and his chin was all white. He was a big boy too, weighed maybe 20 lbs or so, stood a full foot off the ground and could stretch a good 2 1/2 feet with ease. Oh boy could he jump too! he could jump from a sitting position at least 5 feet straight up, or make a 10 foot horizontal leap. I learned about that last one the hard way. He got the zoomies one day and jumped from the back of a chair only to use my stomach as a landing pad while I was half asleep on the couch. The sound that came out of me.... hope to never hear that again! lol on his second run thru. He stopped just before take off. Looked at me with a glint in his eye. I spoke up saying *trying not to laugh* "Don't you dare! you lil snot!" He was very stealthy when he wanted to be too... he could sneak up and climb in my lap without me even realizing it until he was fast asleep and me slowly scratching his head and back. Best damn cat I have ever seen or had the privilege to be a care taker of! Though our time was cut short together. 3 -4 years later he came in and his lower jaw was dislocated or broken. Local vet couldn't fix him so I was forced to put him to sleep so he wouldn't suffer any more. Damn near killed me in the process. Turned out my landlord's cat had kittens and he appears to have been the father of them. I ended up getting his only daughter of the litter a week or so later.
Aww, you can see, he was so happy to be indoors again, warm and comfortable. Such a loving cat too. I'm glad he found comfort, love and happiness again.
If we all work together in our own little corners of the world just imagine how big of an impact we could all make. Videos like this restore my hope for humanity.
My cat Maple was a street cat! I drove two hours to get her after seeing her mangy little self posted up on a rummage sale site by a concerned woman who lived near her. I found out she was diabetic less than 6 months later and I'm genuinely so happy that I decided to rescue her on impulse; she would have died cold and alone out there and now she's going to live a long happy life with the medication, warmth, food, and love she needs.

I took in a big tough street cat..that never knew home life. He watched me in the garden playing with my cats and one day decided he needed that. He is now my baby...and he isn’t so tough anymore.
Just saying. Unless the cat has ever been a housecat before it is highly unlikely for an older feral cat to appreciate human company.
@@cheekyoziechick - How is he with your other cats now?
NeuronalAxon it’s been four years since we took him in. He would sit in the garden and watch them..so he knew this was their home and he was the outsider, so he never tried to bully them. They accepted him because they were use to seeing him. I think he was tired of the struggle of being a street cat. Now he hates being alone and has to be near his humans all the time. I think he appreciates a loving home and food served to him.
It takes a lot of love, patience and time to help a feral cat open up, sometimes years of work. Bless your hearts for such kindness.

Nah they are more worried about blowing thousands if not millions of dollars the welfare leaches and the dope heads who will never change.
It's so sad thinking how anyone can abandon their pet. Just heartless.
Really they are only semi-feral, because they do see humans a lot and humans feed them.
Anyone see the scar on the bridge of Duke's nose? Definitely been in some fights, poor guy. Glad he's with people who love him.

Duke is such a good name for a well-mannered cat.
The 'new cat on my block' from three years ago is watching me from the hallway. He was dumped in my area, a declawed and neutered house cat. Into a rural area of SW Wisconsin. In winter.
Thank God you found him..😸
Same here!
So glad you found him. You don't dump a declawed cat. (You shouldn't declaw cats outside of rare medical necessities, but still).
Declawing is barbaric, equivalent to having the first joint of all your fingers amputated. Anyone who would mutilate an animal like that should never be allowed to keep any. So glad you found him and gave him the home he deserves.
Ever considered getting him inside with u ?

He was just too skinny back then)
Edit: He is neutered, everyone. Lol

Sometimes people just have to. Its a hard thing to know but it's the truth
Sometimes people become too old, too Ill, or just die. Partners or families may dump pets, sorry to say.
How can people automatically assume all stray cats are abandoned?
There are definitely people who straight up abandon their cats and toss them away. But its not always the case. Was in a bad car accident years ago, our cat got out. Never found any sign of blood or anything for the cat, but we never found him despite looking for him every time we came back to the area (was quite a ways from where we were staying). But we hoped he found a good home because Piorrot was awesome.
Other cats, like kittens are sometimes dumped off because they aren't wanted. Or sometimes a cat will run away. But no matter the cause, they all deserve a chance and a home.

I have four cats too!
I took in a stray and feed the other 2 who show up..It would be so wonderful to have pets..cats are my favourite.

Pretty sure that's how I ended up with mine. She showed up refused to leave and I had 3 extra kittens a month later.
I came back home and was writing something on my calender in the corridor next to the out-doors (I guess an
exam date).
Of course my cat likes now some of my friend too (after they visited me many times and started to pet Manu~ and play with him)
I feel that Manu~ has really huge feelings to me. Tho he may sometimes scare my BF haha XD I LOVE HIM (Manu~) ❤
Little meowie- he clearly loves you very much and considers that you are now his possession. Well done for saving this loyal, passionate little cat!
Thanku for not giving up on this wonderful soul. I'm so happy that manu finally trusts you. We need more people like you❤️
Hope you get all the good karma in the world! Thank you for being an awesome human being.
Super sweet story.
That's beautiful, your story abut your Manu!!
This guy has the most soothing voice. I found myself having this in the background while I did other things.
That pink nose is so precious!
7:20 is perfection.
Acquiescence boop!!!

Aww shit he's such a good boy.
Love seeing a shy frightened cat turn into a cuddly silly one. He's very handsome ❤😻
4:26 😭😭Poor Duke just looks so defeated! He probably was thinking this was the end of the line for him, he didnt look happy at all! Im so glad that wasnt the case though!
Reminds me of my handsome boy, Mixtape (RIP). Lots of love to you, Duke and Flatbush Kitties! ❤
Such a sweet boy. So glad you got him the care he needed. Must be difficult for the fosters to see him go.
What a love bug- thank you for getting him off the streets
Duke is such a charmer. It was so heartwarming to see him open up and be himself again.
7:19 that was one of the sweetest moments
this is why spaying/neutering is so important, and some people don’t understand that. if you really can’t spay/neuter your cat then you really shouldn’t let them outside
Agreed.
Yeah
Neutering will not change a pet’s basic personality.”
from: www.arlboston.org/spay-and-neuter-myths-debunked/
Another thing to add, *DO NOT* compare pet neutering/spaying to godamn *rapists* .
@@sahin5051 Animals ≠ people, dumbass. They don't realize their nuts are gone. It literally prevents uterine and testicular cancer, and obviously, stops more unwanted animals being born. I really, REALLY hope you don't have any pets.
I feed 10 feral cats every day since 2 years:
Only one allow me to pet him , even if they sleep at my home every night...
I love your videos and stories .
Be blessed , from France ....
I’ve managed to spay/neuter a lot of the strays, but several more need to be trapped. The mother of these kittens is one that still needs to be spayed. She’s just now after 6 months letting me barely pet her when she eats. 🤞🏻 I can get her fixed before she gets pregnant again.
E Wood well done .... it’s a lot of work and a lot of love ❤️ too ... be blessed
@@Sabbathissaturday : You had me until the word "declawed." That part is beyond awful and inhumane, it should be illegal.
Kay Novo - and you!! ❤️
Every cat I've ever had was a street rescue.....even when I was on the brink of homelessness....I still am a pre old crazy cat lady....
Hi and Hello!
Yes, Cats are really cute, which is
why i had different ones all over my life, but...
honestly, you need to find the Balance between Relaxing
and Work - and now that youre relaxed (which is great, but:) you
maybe need to think about some more intense stuff...
See, i try to gather people for a good Cause.
Reporting problematic content on RUclips...
To make the unhealthy plattform healthier.
I have gathered Links/URL’s for a long time now and spend so much time confirming
each and every one of them to lead directly to a Racist, a Bully, a Sexist, a
Karen, a Hacker, a Spam-Bot, a Mobber or a Combinations of the listed. Oh, and objectifying woman is also a problem of current youtube.
I basically made a Wiki to provide people with
the means to report/flag, so RUclips can be better.
And before you ask: Yes, i know some people report out of petty spite or somethin’.
I know bad people also sometimes use the Report-Function. But is that reason I
and/or you should not use it for the right thing? No. No of course not.
Sorry for the long and maybe
weird comment, but it had to be said, i think.
I mean, RUclipss strike-system
is famously broken and therefore really needs our help. You surely heard how much criticism
the CEO of RUclips, Susan, gets, right?
This comment may be lackluster and therefore confusing, so
ask all the questions you may have, so your confusion gets away.
But point is: I try to help this Plattform; so tell me if youre interested even
a bit.
Same here
@@slevinchannel7589 Just a bunch of unsolicited and completely irrelevant information talking about stuff without providing any of the links or anything your talking about. Looks like something I could've written while high, seriously! I probably have.
You should find a better way to gather people for your cause m8
@@larsalfredhenrikstahlin8012 Dude. Step one step back and look at your own comment. Its really random and pretty nonsensical.
Just cause my first comment didnt include a Link right away, its all meaningless? Who gave you that funny idea/mindset? Haha.
No, buddy, you cant do what i do while youre high, but you really shouldnt get high to begin with, should ya?
Next time, dont make such a cringey and random comment, alright? If you dont understand a comment, thats fine; just ask. If youre not interested; thats also fine.
But writing stuff like you just did, trying to sound superior and 'cool'? Oh, that failed... hard...
@@larsalfredhenrikstahlin8012 I would have provided a lot if you had asked - but that simple common sense fact is probably beyond you.
Maybe becauseeee you get high so often.
I fall in love with every cat I see :( so happy that you’ve taken this mission on, you’re awesome!!
Only at 5:23 and already ugly crying of happy tears. I love him so much😭
You are awesome. Your wife is a lucky women and visa versa. I love cats and I don't understand why people abandon them. They're smart and beautiful creatures.
Thank you for your kindness to Duke and all the work you do for local cats. Duke is a sweet soul.
I LOVE CATS !!!!!! I rescued my feline son from the street !! :)
I am glad someone else just in general refers to a friendly, sweet cat as “bubba” too I don’t know where this came from but I always call animals this lol
Me too! Bubba is such an appropriate name for a big sweet gentleman tabby!
Funny, i usually associate that name with camping
Me too!!
I always call them muffs, f some reason lol
Poor duke.. obviously needed to be in a home. So sad. Thank you for helping them. It’s not easy.
WHAT A HANDSOME STUNNER
I was watching this and its so sad that there are so many cats roaming the streets poor things im glad duke has found himself
Aww, you can see, he was so happy to be indoors again, warm and comfortable. Such a loving cat too. I'm glad he found comfort, love and happiness again.
Duke the loverboy, great work. Thank you.
Kudos to Flatbush Cats, the foster parents (takes REAL strength to let go like that) and the fur-ever parents for saving Duke's life.
I love my shelter cat she’s the sweetest ever
If we all work together in our own little corners of the world just imagine how big of an impact we could all make. Videos like this restore my hope for humanity.
My goodness what a wonderful thing you do for these poor cats, thankyou so much, from England xxx
Thanks for all your love support
