I’m from the uk and have watched. Many thanks for helping them
We’re had problems in the uk of people stealing cats because of kitten price rises since Covid hit
I lost my 2 years old girls called Ellie she’s been sniped so they won’t get any kittens and she’s chipped 😞 so it’s been 1 year I’m still waiting
The uk government has now made chipped come up as stolen which will help if she’s taken to a vets x
😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Exactly. So many cats who are rescued. It would be amazing for the caregivers to have consistent resources.
Amen!
True his a hero I’m from tampa I’m trying to do the same here in tampa Florida can you guys follow my channel please
Maybe the military can share a couple of billion to save lives 🤔 (don't want to get political or anything, just the feelings)
If only we had a proletarian-led state where need came before cash.
The city needs to employ a few vets who exclusively spay and neuter strays and the animals of poor citizens.
The city won't do it, so we will.
@@FlatbushCats Hell yeah. Much love from Denmark. I love what you guys do. All the best!
@@FlatbushCats please lemme know if cats reject their kittens of they're touched by humans
People need to educate themselves before getting a pet.Tax free accounts are available for anyone to sock away even a measly $20 per month( it adds up)pets cost $ PERIOD
@@FlatbushCats Is the Toby Project still available? They were awesome! But of course they need more support.(The Toby Project is a non profit that does low cost spay/neuter and some vaccines too. They helped me with my boy Tabby cat. They were really good! Donate to them please!!!)
I'm glad Bun was found fairly quickly after being abandoned. She could have very easily been in the condition Teddy was in, in not to long a time.
Organisations like yours are helping so much in spreading awareness, with medical treatment and spay/neuter program for this huge amount of sick and neglected cats! thanks for making the world for animals a little bit better !
I''m a feral colony caretaker here in South Africa. I have been watching your channel a while and when I discovered some cats in the mall where I work, I knew I would take care of them and take responsibility for them. I've learned a lot from your channel and have harassed people endlessly and eventually got help sterilising 15 cats so far. Two kittens were young enough to be fostered and adopted. So many people don't care about cats and some even have silly superstitions regarding cats and witchcraft, but honestly, taking care of these cats has made my life better and I love them so much. I have never had a cat but I love these cats like they are my own. I will keep fighting for them and for their sterilisation, which is so important. Thank you so much for what you do - I know it's hard and it takes a toll, especially because people can be so heartless. You are an inspiration to me.
$50 donated. Honestly, I wish I could do more... you guys are saints, saviors, and rock stars!
Thank you! Do good and talk about it, every dollar helps.
@@Semmel2k Yep. Let the youtube commercials play, and donate a few bucks if you can! 😻
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You inspired me to donate. This year, in stead of putting my disposable income to a shiny new digital toy, I will send it to these guys.
Thank you 😻❤
Poor babies . Im glad they have you to save them . Not only do these cats have to defend themselves against the elements but evil people too . Thank you for your help ♥️
I totally agree about people hurting these defenseless animals, most love the kitten or puppy but as they get older the glitter where's off so does their responsibility for raising these amazing creatures incapable of living outdoors, this should be a punishable offence, love Flatbush cats, thank the Lord for angels like them
I agree. I think people make cats their targets, whether by car or other means.
@@kayaker9912 i saw a video of a woman petting a cat on top of a trash can and after wards she threw them in it and shut the lid. She looked like a regular looking lady too . some people are so demented
@@morganrhodes159, wow that is so upsetting. I hope the person recording, then released the cat. Argh.....!
@@kayaker9912 it was a house camera they did free the cat !
When I lived in Denver, I found an organization that spayed/neutered cats for free. I took almost all stray cats from my neighborhood to them and they’re wonderful. The cats also got vaccinated. Every time I was there, there were lines of people. People would spay/neuter their pets if they could afford it.
I would be interested to hear how you accomplished this. Your strategy. I live in Puerto Rico and I rescue cats without any outside support but I am not able to do much more.
Maybe I’ve commented this before but you guys do such an incredible job at making the stories of cat street rescue a lot more digestible. From the information to the actual personal stories of each cat. Sometimes the way other people present rescuing stories online makes me turn away, but you are really able to eloquently put to words the sad stories in a way that doesn’t make me shy away. I hope even just my engagement on these videos helps them reach others.
Yes I agree with your comment
I know neutering is the most important thing, the second most important has to be getting your cat chipped and keeping the information up to date. The first cat probably had someone missing her. We have several charities in the U.K. that pay for or towards neutering if anyone can't afford it. Please don’t take advantage of this if you can afford it, that money could go to helping others. As always a brilliant video, your narration is second to none.
YES! Have your furrbabies chipped and keep the info updated if you move!
You’re coming at this from a British perspective. Most cats in the US don’t go outside, especially not in cities. It’s not only highly likely that she was abandoned, but it’s surprising that you’d imply that FC wouldn’t have done their research first and know from their community links that this cat doesn’t belong to anyone 🤷🏼♀️
@@elizabethhutchin788 Wow, how to get so much wrong in one statement. Our cats are house cats and they chipped 'just in case' they get out as they are far more likely to get lost than cats that have always gone out. The first cat was highly socialised, it has obviously had a lot of human interaction which makes me wonder if it was abandoned or it’s lost. Also chipping cats as kittens allows the cruel people who abandon cats to be traced. Finally, if I’m assuming the cat wasn’t chipped how on Earth is that implying no research was done? Surely it implies the exact opposite, they need some research just to find that out. I’m not coming from it from any other perspective than that of a responsible cat owner. You are incredibly rude and badly informed, don’t expect any more replies.
Bless, because you can’t actually read a comment, you’ve gone on the offensive. There, there. I made no commentary on the practice of microchipping, which I think is a good idea; my 2 cats are chipped. So your mid-comment rant really makes no sense, anyhoo. My point remains that you have made an assumption that FC irresponsibly lifted an owned cat from the street.
As to not replying to me again? I’m crushed. SHAKEN TO THE CORE 🤣
@@elisabubbles I don’t think they implied that at all. I think they’re just making a general statement that chopping cats is important. Also, you originally said that cats in the us don’t go outside which is just wrong. They can get outside just as easily as cats everywhere else. Whether or not it’s the owners fault varies, but there’s no way of knowing for sure whether a car was abandoned or just lost.
Bun's whole face smiles. You rarely see such expression on a cat. She is darling beyond words. So glad she's safe!
I have a cat that has a sad and depressed face. That's just how her face is. I have hard time accepting that she's happy and satisfied with my services. Lol. I always worry if she's feeling lonely (even though I have 4 more cats, and 1 of them is her age, they play together)
@@Amy_J705 Haha that's so funny! I have a feeling she is smiling so big inside even if her face can't express it. She loves making you work hard to make her happy.😄
@@mariarohmer2374 I hope so. I will never stop spoiling her 🙂 she brings hair buns and toy rats to me in the morning as a token of her appreciation. So, I guess you're right.

I was so close to just driving down to brooklyn and volunteering to adopt Bun myself until you showed she found a loving home. Bun's story reminds me of my cat, Boba. She an older cat (~10 at the time) who was clearly dumped on the street during early pandemic (April/May) and not able to fend for herself or figure out where to get food. Thankfully her friendly nature got the attention of some good samaritans who dropped her off at the shelter I got her from. My heart is massive for adopting cats with those kinds of back stories... Boba is spoiled rotten these days and queen of the castle. Also Bun is SO CUTE. As is Chai.
Lovely work!
Missed opportunity, the name 'Bun' should have been reserved for a cat with 'one in the oven' ! Never stop, one day the goal will be reached. Love you guys
We thought she was pregnant! But nope just thicc
My old roommate and I found a kitten in the cold when we were in college and hid her in our dorm room for 2 weeks while we tried to find her a home. That home ended up being my roommate’s because she fell in love with her. When we roomed together again a year later in a house the kitten came to live with us. That was nearly 10 years ago. Her name is Chai too and she’s the most spoiled baby in the whole world. I love her.
They really are the lucky ones though, I’m glad you guys are doing such good work.
I have a tortie named Chai! I give this Chai love in spirit
You guys are doing God's work. Thank you!
Thank you for everything you do.

500,000!!!
Good grief!
I nearly spat my food out! That is just beyond wrong and cruel!
Thank you for rescuing and caring for these poor babies… it breaks my heart to see these cats living on the streets and dying. I aspire to be like you all one day
Don't put it off for one day; if you donate you're helping right now.

It’s awesome that you’re getting interviews fir your work
We do love a good cat rescue story 😇😸
Thank you so much for what you do. You are an angel saving precious little babies. :)
It's not much, but I donated $5 for the kitties. Much love from Switzerland!
I love you, Flatbush peeps. Truly love you to the moon and back.
It is wonderful for what you do for these fur babies. I wish this low cost spayed and neutered was for all New Yorkers because we need help up here in central NY, you’d be surprised that there is no advertising for this here! So far I have taken care of cats that are being dropped off on my road and this alone boils my blood.
Thank you and all the volunteers for everything you do, it can't be said enough.
Your videos always make me want to cry. I'm glad you're getting the attention you deserve. Hoping you hit a million ASAP and keep doing good work. Thank you for everything!!
Thank you for ALL you do to help these innocent voiceless souls
Bun and Chai are such love muffins. They so deserve the ❤️. Thank you!
I'm thrilled that feline over-population and TNR are getting exposure on TV and can only hope this new found knowledge prompts NYC government to step up and fund TNR efforts. 🖤🐈🖤
God Bless you for the work that you do but especially for the love that you provide. It's a difficult task but the results are so fulfilling. I've made a contribution to help....
I am grieving loss of my little angel...life is not the same without him. God! This is so hard! Why? Why my baby?
I watch your videos from Paris France and admire the work done and the help given to these cats. Even in France, the costs of veterinarians are exorbitant!!! you are right to fight for reasonable costs. but what afflicts me are the humans who do not take their responsibility, not to mention the heartless!
You are one of the genuine organizations out there who truly dedicate their lives and resources on helping others. You are the only ones whom I support financially and/or ever will. Please never stop helping these kittends in need.
Thanks this gentleman helps those cats. Arrange neuter is really important. Wishing more people can help and make less stray cats. Too.poor to live in streets without food and shelter.
After two years of being closed our county shelter has finally been able to restart their free spay/neuter program. I am thrilled for them and for the community cats in my county. I’m also thankful to RUclipsrs sharing information about TNR because it’s taken off like wildfire. TNR programs are popping up everywhere in my region.
Such good news!
I will donate on payday. Thank you for all you do!
Please help this group. I saw with my own eyes the suffering of these loving creatures. These cats make such grateful and loyal companions. And these folks stretch that dollar you send them. Thank you for helping them.
Keep pluggin on - Flatbrush Cat Team. We really need a nationwide TNR program - otherwise babies will be having more babies, with no homes where they can be cared for & loved. We love cats (most every animal) & just wish we have more resources to help them. Thank you for the rescues, the fostering, the ongoing TNR - one life at a time. Thumbs up.
please help in getting your idea off the ground!
Loved Cat Daddies the other night! So happy to see y'all getting recognition for everything all y'all do!
you are a true hero for me!!!! I live in Germany and have 10 cats at the moment (feeding a few more)... they are all neutered, dewormed and vaccinated... there were times I had about 20 cats... many losses 😿... it is quite an expensive "hobby"... but I always say... as long as I have money for cigarettes I will do my best to give my babies a good life!!! Thankfully I have a female vet who gives me discounts... but it is still expensive.... especially the laboratory findings.... still, I would not change my life for a second 😻😻😻! So again, thank you for what you are doing for all the fur babies - you are a hero 🤗
Thank you for your continuing hard work. You are a savior for the cats of Brooklyn.
Amazing people...thank you for saving as many cats as possible. They all deserve a loving forever home.
Two of our local rescue organizations collaborate at times and they have this scheme where you can "sponsor" a kitten/cat without committing to foster/adopt it.
We were terrible fosters because we couldn't give them up... we ended up with 4 cats. And because we have 4 cats we cannot adopt anymore but we sponsored 2 kittens and an elderly cat last year and 1 adult cat so far this year, we plan on keep sponsoring too!
There are two types of sponsorships, the basic one covers basic expenses like formula/quality food and deworming plus vaccinations and the premium one covers all basic expenses plus spay/neuter. As a sponsor you get to witness your sponsored kitten's/cat's journey from rescue to adoption (via photos/videos and written updates from rescue/foster). We wish we could afford to sponsor more kittens/cats but I share this idea because it really does help... it frees up the rescue org's resources for other things like medical treatments and surgeries for kittens/cats that are found in bad shape and also it helps them pay for maintenance and spay/neuter programs for colony cats.
I love this! I’m gonna look into my local rescues to see if any of them do sponsorships. Thank you for sharing this!
Recently i found out that many people who took up cats in Covid period, later left them to streets once everything settled down and they no longer needed the emotional support.
I don't remember the stats but they were sad.
Thank you so much for all your work
Thank you so much for all you do for these wonderful cats bless you 👍
Poor cats. I'm watching in the UK. What wonderful work you are doing. Chai and Bun are so adorable.
I love cats so much ❤️😻😍 I don't have room in my small apartment for cat 😸😭😭😭 so I go feed and film the street cats in Bangkok park Thailand 😁 Thank you 🙏 from Thailand for taking care of cats
Not even exaggerated when he says the saved one are the truely lucky ones. It breaks my heart knowing all the ones that can't be helped bc of diseases, accidents, and just unbearable conditions that shouldn't even be lived in. They [cats] are only doing the best they can in the circumstances they are born into ,abandoned, or lost outside. It's up to us to be their voices and advocates!! Even being able to utilize TNR in one colony is making a bit of a difference. It's crazy to think of the math and numbers of just one liter being born. Each female can start to have a liter as young as six months so in general, a cat can have up to four litters of kittens per year, with an average of four kittens per litter, although litter size can range from one to twelve kittens. Just using the average number, means that unchecked, a cat can have 15- 20 kittens per year. Such an eye opener!
what you do and what you show is very important, there is no doubt in my mind.
here, where I live, in Poland, many people (not all, but unfortunately still many) still don't believe in spay/neuter value. to the contrary, they consider it a cruelty done to animals or, at best, changing their organisms against the nature. sometimes it is so difficult to talk to them. in those situations a voice of a third person is the game changer.
I assume this is true not only in case of Poland, but US as well.
Great job, FBC. I appreciate and respect what you do. thank you ♥
The message in Australia is likewise mixed: some support, some opposition, lots of rumours about effectiveness or lack thereof, little research. The main objection seems to be to the "release" or "return" part of TNR, because the mantra in Australia is "each individual feral cat in Australia kills 390 mammals, 225 reptiles and 130 birds. That adds up. Every year, feral cats kill 1.4 billion native Australian animals." The quote is from an Australian government report, which rejected Trap-Neuter-Release as a measure for controlling cats. Proponents of the practice, the report concluded, “fail to consider the ongoing impacts to native wildlife when cats are released after having been desexed.”. So neutering and releasing doesn't solve this problem immediately, and therefore nothing is done, as governments are seldom capable of long-term thinking or planning.
Thank you for the hard work, I've been trying my best up here in Buffalo to help the homeless, feral and lost kitties in my neighborhood. I know truly how heart-wrenching it is.
Hope you get my donation I made today.
The program "Spay and neuter " is the better solution 😸😸😸 No more kittens dying of hunger, cold, disease, or killed in accidents... But also those who adopt a young cat, dog or other pet must be aware of the responsibility of adopt a living being who deserves respect, affection and care.
At home in Belgium (Europe) we have also set up this program for a few years. It takes time, there is progress, it's encouraging. But how long will it take to change mentalities ? Too many people, all over the world are not respectful of animal life, alas ! Let's continue to be vigilant, we cannot afford to give up: so many lives need all humans of good will.
I wish you much courage, victories and happiness in your courageous action. Friendships from Belgium!
"a nice warm keyboard" ,😻😂🤣😻

Thank you for helping the kitties out there
I am amazed at how you find homes for your rescues. Stray and street cats are a universal issue. When I think of the privileged life my two rescues have, I am so saddened by the many left behind. Your work is so appreciated.
Thank you for all you do. As a monthly contributor, and tnr supporter and volunteer in my area, I am not confused about the enormity of the root cause and problem. Still, a rescue story gives me the will to continue. So don’t worry, at least for many of us, that we think these are anything but the lucky ones. Thanks again, and upwards and onwards towards more accessible low cost spay / neuter.
You are my hero. If I lived in NY I would trap right there with you.

The SPCA here I foster for has a new hospital site opened to help people get affordable spay/neuter. I do what I can to spread the word and drive pets for appointments. It's helpful to just be transportation as much as monetary. Sweet pets are driven outside by the hormones and get lost and stay lost and then kittens are born lost.
Thank you for all the information and understanding. I found a place to help out because of these videos.
We love her so much! Thank you for making this happen ♥️
I am so excited. This will hopefully get you more funding. Congrats on the news story.
500 000... That's frankly depressing it must feel like fighting the ocean with a bucket...
that's a great analogy actually. we refer to it as a bathtub or sink that is overflowing. instead of adding more cups to scoop, we're going to turn the water off by increasing affordable access to spay/neuter.

You are truly an amazing person! Thank you.
It’s not just New York!! I TNR in Cheongju and Jochiwon. Most municipalities in Korea have some government funded TNR, but at my local colony- I’m a one woman show! The Korean cat moms feed the cats, but I’m the only one providing medical, making winter shelters (the colony is in a local community center /119 - Korea’s 911- and the emergency services people let me place winter shelters near their buildings where people wouldn’t approach them.). When I moved here, I vet-shopped. I get a very slight discount and also don’t pay for pre surgery blood tests etc. I give all my TNRs a round of vaccines. I pay about $110 for a make and $250 for a female. As a teacher, it’s a stretch and I can only afford about one a month. I am one cat over my personal limit (I have three 9 year olds- a bonded pair who were rehomed to me when their human left Korea, and the 3rd cat I didn’t know I wanted- an abandoned guy I’d feed by a local convenience store. A cold winter’s day 2017 I was on my bike and he was sick and chased me pleading. The next day I went back with a carrier s d he jumped in. Needless to say J now have 3 cats- all black and white Korean shorthairs! Valjean, my former street kitty has had dental extractions and just had his 4 fangs, but he’s my sweetheart. Suzy and Woosi don’t appreciate the life I provide as much, as they have never lived outdoors! Feral cats are a world wide problem, and each of us can be part of the solution.
I love you for what you do! I love a rescue story but lets end it Adopt love and care!
Your videos are so powerful, thanks for all you've saved...
Thank you for helping these poor animals in need!! ❤️
Bun and Chai - so glad they were rescued.
It gets so overwhelming sometimes... Thank you for your work and everyone around the world who cares for strays and tries to get them spayed and neutered!
So glad to see you getting the recognition you deserve for your hard work
The direction your organization is heading is wonderful. Finding the root cause and working from there instead of the symptoms. TNR is a huge way to work on the root cause but low cost s/n services and education... not that is at the heart of it all!
My heart grows so heavy for these innocents, it's so hard to believe more aren't trying to do what these amazing people do unconditionally to help these deserving pets, but it's not like our government would do anything but dispose of these helpless cats,we have to be the ones that put forth and help in some form,no one deserves to be left out in the cold and abused especially these poor innocent animals, thank Flatbush for their hearts
Sometimes I wish I was a millionaire just so I could donate to organizations like yours.
I'm the same, I want to be rich, so that I can be poor and happy.
