The campaign mission for this map gave me my best experience of any time in hitman. Spending an hour collecting clues and talking to the family members gave me a huge sense of immersion.
The surveillance tapes being in the kitchen is actually a godsend. Even on alerted Dartmoor it is extremely easy to climb through the outside window into the room next to the kitchen, and no one will even be alerted if you shoot the surveillance footage through the glass window on the door with your silenced pistol. Just a quick easy tip.
I think some people mentioned that Shortballer has higher base damage than other silenced pistols, hence why it is so popular between speedrunners. You need less body/limb shots to kill enemies with it.
The annoying this about the dartmoor map is the surrounding area looks nothing like dartmoor dartmoor is very hilly with with not alot of water and the Manor is far to big as well the closest we have to that is dartmoor Manor which is more than half the size.
@@wildgold As a fan of hitman, its good (especially D2) (like hitman there are lots of different ways to beat missions (way less than hitman ofc but still), but its has a lot better combat than hitman)
The sedative vial is only useful in Whittleton Creek and New York, but in New York there’s a bottle of chloroform in a locker right next to the back door of the room where the vault guards are, so you only need it in Whittleton Creek. So far since Hitman 1 I’ve never used syringes, I’ve used emetic and poison vials, but I think syringes are useless, you can kill someone from behind with a pistol, so there’s no reason to use them.
Mendoza has ventilation in the barrel room which can hit both targets (and Diana) at the same time. I don't think the map provides any sedatives either.
I don’t love them but I use them to set up long distance multi accident kills or whatever. The only advantage is being able to set off distractions from far away
I dont really know why but i tend to prefer having the showdown on this map over many others. Yes the lookouts can be abit of a pain sometimes but thats not exclusive to this map and the same basic lure strategy to knock them out works just aswell. If your 1 of those players that somehow MUST complete any map within a few min from any spawn and just run run run all the time then yeah the map sucks. But thats not really how u are supposed to play Hitman. Thats speedrunning, not Hitman freelancer.
Only 4 out of ten for the unlocks? It has 2 of the best unlocks (best pistol and a lockpick) and sedative poison (which is sometimes useful for getting items of people), although the other items suck, these items make its unlocks at least above average and like maybe a 6-7/10
The shortballer is one of 5 ballers and lockpick is also one of 5, so not exactly rare, the sedative poison isn't anywhere near as useful compared to other sedative tools like gum and tranq, that's why I gave it that score

True. If you don't count Freelancer, it's the best map in all of Hitman by a long shot.

I like how in-depth this series is and how you get clips for everything you're talking about. Quality content, thanks.
i remember going to the store across the street and buying some energy drinks and then coming back while waiting for another death in the family
God damn it took THAT long

the fact that they turned it into a murder mystery of which 47 is the detective makes it so much better.

It would be awesome if you made some blood money maps too
