Pete is the MAN!! Animal thanks for supporting the powerlifting community with stand up dude like Pete!! Awesome example of hard work and dedication to the sport!!
Michael Ramos they will not because dan grenn is big in budget... out of budget.. wih food... without food... in this planet or in an other... he is big no matter what... DAN BOSS GREEN
That's alot of food, and healthy food for little money. Too bad in Norway you're looking at about double the price for one week, but then again our earnings are also higher comparably to other countries. This really opened my eyes for budgeting what I spend on food, previously I just bought what I felt like buying and didn't consider planning for the whole month
Pete has come a long way ! I remember when he used to eat a pound of ground beef with instant mashed potato like a budget cottage pie two to three times a day!
Could go even cheaper buying dried beans. You get ~12 servings for what one of those cans cost.. Could have used the leftover for some spinach or broccoli. Can also do cabbage over romaine. It's usually a little cheaper per pound.
squat til u puke I'm from Canada but go to the us for groceries. I get packs of chicken breast that don't shrink when I cook them for about $7/$9 a pack and 8 litres of milk for like $3.50
I HAVE BEEN ON A TIGHT BUDGET ALL YEAR AND LAST MONTH SPENT 125.00 TOTAL FOR THE WHOLE MONTH AND JUST GETTING ROLLING GOOD ON TRAINING THIS YEAR . I HAVE ADDED STRENGTH AND BODYWEIGHT EVEN ON THAT SMALL BUDGET , BODYWEGHT AT 234 # AND GETTING STRONGER !
You have to take into consider that he's 240+ pounds as well The typical person that's 160-200 pounds can get enough chicken, rice, beef, potatoes, eggs, bread or oatmeal, fruit and vegetables for $50 or less a week depending on where you are in the world.
kids probably thought they were clever calling him Pete "Rubbish" or something when he was younger. Now he just kills them with kindness, or by crushing their skulls with engine blocks.
Evan Kaye considering he didn't weigh out everything and just eye balled it. Can't do that. No idea how much chicken he used or how much protein he used. Obviously I know how to count calories and macros. I actually weigh my food. This was more curiosity because I don't buy some of the things he bought. If it was that easy, you would have done the math yourself. As you can see, neither of us give enough of a fuck to actually do that. Which is why I asked the question.
Let's count it up! 1.5 pounds chicken breast - 720 calories (11 pounds uncooked/7 days = around 1.5 pounds/day when cooked) 4.89 cups cooked rice = 1000 calories (205 calories/cup. 5 pounds rice/7 days = .72 pounds per day uncooked. 1 cup of uncooked long grain white rice = 7 oz, so .72 pounds of rice per day = 1.63 cups of uncooked rice, which yields 4.89 cups of cooked rice) .42 pounds of black beans = 180 calories (Pete said he had roughly 3 pounds of black beans. 3 pounds/7 days per week = .42 pounds. 1 oz of canned black beans = 26 calories. .42 pounds x 16 oz = 6.85 oz. 6.85 oz therefore is 180 calories worth of black beans) 28 grams of four state cheddar Sargento cheese = 110 calories (easy google search. Cheese packet has 7 servings, so one serving per day = 110 calories) I'll just say the salsa and lettuce is a combined 20 calories. It's very minimal. Not going to bother looking it up. Greek yogurt = 70 calories (1 cup plain greek yogurt = 120 calories. 120x4 cups per container = 480 calories. Divide by 7 and you get 70 calories per day) 5 eggs = 350 calories 1 cinnamon raisin bagel = 270 calories (google search. Keep in mind he only has 5 bagels though, but I'm not gonna tell him to eat five sevenths of a bagel every day lmao) 1 serving tropicana peach orchard punch = 100 calories (luckily there are 7 servings per carton!) 1 bosc pear = 60 calories I'm not including the whey protein because that was not accounted for in the budget. TOTAL CALORIES = 2930 For Pete, this is too little. Obviously a guy that big needs to be eating more. However, there are lots of people out there who probably will see good results eating this amount per day.
Top tip guys. Buy your damn chicken with skin on, its cheaper. If you don't want the skin remove it yourself. I don't see how 4Lbs of chicken is going to last you the whole week.
Boneless skinless chicken breast 2 USD a pound?! Well, here in Finland that will be at least double, most likely triple. Wages of the working class might be 'bout equal. But after taxes and all...not so much. Then again...education and healthcare cost WAY less or are "free"...sort of. High taxes, yes, but everybody gets a free education and healthcare (more or less). A welfare state. We take care of people that ain't doing so good. The people that are doing good are doing good here too, but they would be doing better in the States. More equal society, as per design. "Brain export" is the danger always lurking... It's a fine line...
jhon stiner If you eat that way you are gonna annihilate your kidneys dude. Just stick to eating 1-1.5grams of protein per pound of bodyweight. If you weigh 230 what is your body fat?
Pete is the MAN!! Animal thanks for supporting the powerlifting community with stand up dude like Pete!! Awesome example of hard work and dedication to the sport!!
Pete Rubish is a beast. Hyped on this video. Wonder if they'll ever do a Dan Green big on budget.
Michael Ramos they will not because dan grenn is big in budget... out of budget.. wih food... without food... in this planet or in an other... he is big no matter what... DAN BOSS GREEN
Thought this guy cooked his meals next to the dishwasher and dryer. Only real Rubish fans will understand

Good stuff Pete/Animal. Def gave me some ideas on the greek yogurt in place of the sour crème! See you in March Pete.
Hell yeah. This is a dope ass diet for 50$
Since Pete Rubish was able to make a Big on a Budget video I hope that Dan Green will make one too!
I love seeing this challenge and the different meals everyone comes up with. Going to try the chicken bowl .. great idea
Lul .... the chicken alone would kill the budget here in Austria.
11,5 lbs = ~5kg x 12€ = 60€ or 63$
Big up ! Its crazy how meat is cheap in the US
If fruits, greens legumes etc are cheaper you can always look up some vegan/vegetarian protein alternatives. No harm.
squat til u puke haha right? I pay anywhere from $14-20 for the exact same chicken he gets.
squat til u puke I'm from Canada but go to the us for groceries. I get packs of chicken breast that don't shrink when I cook them for about $7/$9 a pack and 8 litres of milk for like $3.50

Can you do a video on neck exercises?
BIGWEBB88 900 lbs. deadlifts are a good exercise XD
After watching all of Evan Centopani's videos I know that this is a shitty way to eat.. digestive health not even once.
This goes without saying, but Pete is not a licensed Dietitian, he' just strong and juicy AF
Buying uncooked beans is MUCH cheaper than buying them in cans.
Pete is The Man !!
im.confused, all that is suppose to last 5 days right?? didnt he just use one whole thing of chicken on those 3 bowls??
How much chicken he added to the bowl?
Check out Aldi
Mike Barrett yaaaaaaaaas I live at Aldi!
Old man telling one of the strongest people in the world what he should eat lol
damn that salsa jar lid came off like nothin
Who is going to actually look forward to eating that, day in and out?
So what are the macros per day when using this diet (not including the whey supplements)?
Michael East 30/40/30 ratio is pretty standard and it depends how many calories you are looking to get it
Evan Kaye I'm asking how many of each can he get from the groceries he bought when not adding the supplements.
Michael East either add up the food or figure out how many calories and use the ratio.
Evan Kaye considering he didn't weigh out everything and just eye balled it. Can't do that. No idea how much chicken he used or how much protein he used. Obviously I know how to count calories and macros. I actually weigh my food. This was more curiosity because I don't buy some of the things he bought.

BS Pete's diet is consisted of oreo's and bunch of other sweets....
And a lot of four cheese ricearoni.
in switzerland, this would cost 100+
Dudes got some BIG traps.
haha at the end he said you can add the juice in
This isn’t $50 for a week it’s like $50 for a day 😂😂
Around how many calories is this for the day?
Let's count it up!
1.5 pounds chicken breast - 720 calories (11 pounds uncooked/7 days = around 1.5 pounds/day when cooked)
4.89 cups cooked rice = 1000 calories (205 calories/cup. 5 pounds rice/7 days = .72 pounds per day uncooked. 1 cup of uncooked long grain white rice = 7 oz, so .72 pounds of rice per day = 1.63 cups of uncooked rice, which yields 4.89 cups of cooked rice)

hey Pete, I have to eat 380g protein a day and 300 carb. there's no way I can only spend 50 dollars for a week
jhon stiner There is absolutely no reason why you should be eating 380 fuckin grams of protein unless you weigh 380lbs
I weigh 230 pounds and competing for physique. I'm also completely natural. does that make a difference?
jhon stiner If you eat that way you are gonna annihilate your kidneys dude. Just stick to eating 1-1.5grams of protein per pound of bodyweight. If you weigh 230 what is your body fat?
around 15-16%. but I drink a gallon of water a day, wouldn't that help my kidneys?
jhon stiner that's too much protein bro it's just gonna turn to fat
