Aube Powerlifting Ah I see what you mean now though, it kind of sounded like sarcasm, the first sentence I mean. I can see why you thought that now lol
I don't see why chicken and rice has to be bland. With the right amount of spices and sauces, you can liven up any meal. Chicken and rice sounds delicious to me!
These Big on a Budget vids are really damn handy.....even if you aren't trying to bodybuild, these seem like the perfect guide for a college student or anyone living alone while trying to stay relatively clean and healthy (instead of subsisting on ramen noodles and PB&J).....just lower the total amount of food per day but follow the same ideas.
Would also suggest only purchasing bulk chicken and/or beef when it goes on sale. If you're looking to maximize your dollar, waiting for chicken breasts to go on sale, then purchasing "x" pounds of it would be the better way to go as well. Then, cut the breasts into small portions, bag and freeze them. Before you know it, you'll have a whole freezer full of breasts that are ready to thaw and cook. Great video though.
This is probably one of the most informative and helpful videos I've seen, with the purpose of guiding newcomers to the sport. Anything is possible if you're wiling to sacrifice.
Animal you know it brother! I'm in the gym 7 days a week. Timing my meals and sups, cycling my training and diet routine properly. I even got a second job purely to financially support my goal. Like Branch Warren said, "I'll do whatever I have to. I'll eat dirt if I have to." Keep up the good work Animal.
To cut time you can actually boil the eggs inside of the rice cooker. Buy the time the rice is cooked you got your boiled eggs ready to prep. But make sure to wash each eggs before putting in the cooker.
This comes out to around 2400 calories a day. How would a 160-180 pound bodybuilder grow like this? For most people in that weight range this would equal maintenance calories.
phukyou dude i commented on his FB post about this. this shit wasnt planned at all. LOL this diet here will make anyone fail to it being so fuckin boring n shit.
phukyou and wtf are you gonna do with 2 apples? LOL shit is missing oats, bananas, potatoes, tuna more fat maybe? he could have removed 1lb of chicken per day, and added some more variety. AND when i mentioned that to him, he said I doesnt like to eat any of that. BUT didnt he say "eat for purpose, not pleasure" lol
Although I am far from an 18 year old, let alone a body builder...hahaha...I really enjoyed the video. I respect Jason and pretty much all of Animal's athletes, He tells it like it is and gives a nice basic foundation. Of course you can add or subtract where needed but it is simple basic info that should work for the general masses. Really great.
this video has inspired me alot. I will say the meal is easy, clean as Jason said, trying to join the army but I have a little weight which I'm building my muscles while with the weight. it's helped me so much as in planing out. I eat 6 meals which is 3 meals and 3 shakes per day and I have seen a little change in my shoulder and chest by size but my arms will be a while I'm trying not to build massive arms but trying to build them to fit my chest and shoulders.
I'm going to ask my wife's friend about this rice stuff. I'm not joking when I say this, her PhD is in rice. She's currently studying/head of a lab in the Philippians. We had a conversation when back in England & she advised me to avoid brown rice/stick to basmati or jasmine as I have digestive problems.
Thanks for the video. It was very informative, and I will use this to help me eat clean. However, I noticed a comment saying this is only about 2400-2700. Not sure if this is true or not, but in order to get 3200-3400 calories, I would add a bit more of rice, chicken and eggs. Thank you very much for the video, eating in a budget just became easier!
"TRADER JOES" (4 turkey burger patties *22g protein pre patty-$3, 1lb ground turkey-$3 EVERYDAY) (fruits&veggies frozen or fresh prices are also pretty cost effective as well) I usually buy the SUCCESS brand rice bags brown&white just to name few things.
Paul Dubyna yeah shitty corn fed beef and chicken thats killing us.. we also have thw highest diabetes, inflammatory response issues and heart disease.. those animals ww eat ARE NOT meant to eat corn exclusively
If you had a bigger budget of $100-150. What would you add? In terms of foods/supplements (turkey, fish, whey protein, casein etc) Could you list in order by priority? I would be extremely grateful!
i like that, "i didnt really have a budget when i was young, because i worked my ass off" Damn straight, no budget here for my gains... my knees let me know whats paying for it everyday haha
Taureg Chicken, eggs and rice... Idk how more people aren't questioning this absurd diet. Fiber not even once, micro nutrients not even once. I care about how I look too but this is absurd
Similar to how I eat with the exception of not quite as much chicken. Chicken and rice is the staple, but I'll also eat pasta and tuna and lots of bananas
Just a thought but with the remaining dollar I would've gotten a head of lettuce. Usually they're 99cents and if anything it'll add some volume to your meals.
I'm following this eating plan so far but I'm also drinking my protein shake which has about 650 cals. How many ounces of cooked chicken breast should I add per meal?? Instead of counting it at 2lbs of uncooked chicken per day ? Can anyone please help
***** eat ur favorite foods (which should be meat and some good carbs) and make sure u are eating enough calories every day. trust me eating 6 meals of chicken and rice each day is dreadful. even bodybuilders dread that shit. they hate dieting
***** without going into too much depth of this conversation.. eat "clean" and "dirty" foods. learn how to monitor progress and take it week by week or something but enjoy it
If I was him, I'd go for Bananas and Potatoes (Sweet, or normal) for carbs, that would get a few vitamins in the mix. This works for him, but he worked at a resteraunt and so he could get left overs easily.
Busted up lauging when he said "people wondering what the fuck a team of cameras are following me around for"
Love that quote, "You're not eating for pleasure as a bodybuilder, you're eating for purpose."
6 meals of rice and chicken!!! You are not eating for pleasure you are eating for a purpose! !!
Von Ace What's wrong with eating for a purpose?
Aube Powerlifting He never said it was wrong?
elmohasaposse I might be wrong but he makes it sounds like it is. My bad.
Aube Powerlifting Ah I see what you mean now though, it kind of sounded like sarcasm, the first sentence I mean. I can see why you thought that now lol

your not eating for
pleasure as a bodybuilder your eating for purpose. Thanks JH
Exactly
Omg, we have the same measuring cups. I feel like I'm one step closer to becoming a pro bodybuilder already
Have you became a bodybuilder?
Any updates on becoming a bodybuilder?
We need an update!
Where is itt!!?
Everyone from California watching this is probably wishing they could leave their faucet running like that while making rice.
Animal I live in CA, and noticed it was running. lol
were officially out of a drought.. Leave that shit running all day
Lol....real!
Jason is always so laid back, low keyed, and completely chill. He's the uncle we all wished we had. ❤️
I have such respect for this man! It would be great if you guys filmed more with Jason, he is a true inspiration to me and a lot of others. Thanks!
DO I GET A PRICE BREAK FOR DAMAGED GOODS? LMAO
died laughing when he was like "dude relax" lol
Honestly though who would argue with him lol

''Tits.'' Cracked me up.
These vids are so helpful. Trying to keep weight on while taking six classes during my last semester as an undergrad. is a pain.

Chicken breasts and white rice is seriously the same as eating A4 paper
You can say that again. Tried it for a few days when I was younger. Then I was like f this shit!
These Videos are pretty great. Universal has really stepped their game up.
Animal I always thought it was the same company. Awesome video's either way.
Got it. Thanks for clearing that up guys.
Animal So are athlete's sponsored by an individual brand (either animal or universal), or by the company?

this guy is so boring
Really like these 'Big on a Budget' videos where a BIG dude is showing how to shop cheap! Thanks Animal for putting out stuff!
Jason huh is my fave body builder, thanks
thanks for the upload jason! being that I'm a current college student, my budget is low but i make the meals happen!
Keep making more of these vids! Really entertaining and provide some learning material
More Jason, please! Yes, just because he is my favorite bodybuilder!
I've tried this about 10yrs ago when I was a heavy hitter and Rice and Chicken will make you go crazy lol
I went a whole yr eating this.
please keep these videos coming , more more big on a budget and huge on a hundred. thanks
To cut time you can actually boil the eggs inside of the rice cooker. Buy the time the rice is cooked you got your boiled eggs ready to prep. But make sure to wash each eggs before putting in the cooker.
Where's Kali Muscle when you need him? This video needs a loaf of bread and huge jars of pb & j.
+ALT3REDB3AST you can buy like 500 ramen noodles for 50 bucks lmao
I've watched a few of these and while I find Jason funny in this vid, he CLEARLY hates having to do this thing for Animal lol.
This is a great initiative, I really like it. I would recommend you put a list of the items bought at the description box.
This comes out to around 2400 calories a day. How would a 160-180 pound bodybuilder grow like this? For most people in that weight range this would equal maintenance calories.
It's fine when you add in 2-4 scoops whey.
phukyou dude i commented on his FB post about this. this shit wasnt planned at all. LOL this diet here will make anyone fail to it being so fuckin boring n shit.

TEAM mVp ATHLETICS it is boring AF. I would lose my mind eating like this lol. But people who follow Jason, know that he eats good af.
I thought the same thing Evan centaponi video was better even I think it was 70 dollars
He seems to be a very cool and humble Builder :)
I can totally afford this while going to college full time and working part time four days after school. You da man Jason
The hands free glasses pulldown @ 11:57 was how id expect jasons glasses to move
Although I am far from an 18 year old, let alone a body builder...hahaha...I really enjoyed the video. Jason is SUPER COOL. What a specimen.
You should give to Jason the opportunity to shop on a budget of 100 $ just like Centopani and McGrath...there we can see his creativity in action...
Thank you ! Can't wait , Jason is a good cook and a very good bodybuilder !
Love all these style of videos.
this video has inspired me alot.

with Frank, Roman and Jason you probably have the most interesting people in this series for me

great video jason is one of my favourite bodybuilder! absolutly amazing!!
love the "big in budget" series
Jason has a great physique, cant wait to see him compete again, one of the very few guys that can still hit a vacuum pose

He'll just buy two times the amount of chicken and rice
"TRADER JOES" (4 turkey burger patties *22g protein pre patty-$3, 1lb ground turkey-$3 EVERYDAY) (fruits&veggies frozen or fresh prices are also pretty cost effective as well) I usually buy the SUCCESS brand rice bags brown&white just to name few things.
gotta love the us prices on meat it's so cheap holy , in canada is crazy
Fuckin' insane
ya here in canada that much boneless skinless chicken breast would be around 50-60
That's one of the reasons why other countries hate US we got it good here
Paul Dubyna yeah shitty corn fed beef and chicken thats killing us.. we also have thw highest diabetes, inflammatory response issues and heart disease.. those animals ww eat ARE NOT meant to eat corn exclusively
whole wheat bread, kwik trip. 1 loaf= ~1.99 eggs there are cheap aswell
"As soon as I knew I wanted to be a bodybuilder, I went and got a job at a restaurant" lol
Honey Crisp apples are f'n amazing... I wait every year for those.
How often and how much do you spend on fish? I see everyone eating cod but it's 5.99 at best.
I'm lactose intolerant too... man it sucks not being able to eat/drink whey protein.. :( and milk... and cheese... and everything that tastes good.
Great video, does anyone know what kind of watch that is?
9:43 lol this sounds just like me at the supermarket, but for real $50 a week? I'd be livin like a king

Huh been that dude beast AF salute

Thank you
Watching this in 2020 💪🏾
That store seems expensive, Walmart has 18 pack of eggs for under 2 bucks. 5 pound bag of rice is less than $3.50
To all those hating on this, if ur lifting & eating like this you'll grow period. Wtf do people think
If you had a bigger budget of $100-150. What would you add? In terms of foods/supplements (turkey, fish, whey protein, casein etc)

i always wanted to eat 6 small meals a day like this but I work a 9-5 and cannot find the time. How do people pull this off?
No veggies? sounds healthy
its healthy if you dont add spices and sauces to the meat. but you obviously know that.
Jeffery Li ... what??
Taureg Chicken, eggs and rice... Idk how more people aren't questioning this absurd diet. Fiber not even once, micro nutrients not even once. I care about how I look too but this is absurd
Taureg veggies are expensive
Taureg watch different videos = simple fix. Different lifestyle, brah. The title isn't "vegan lifestyle to live to 200!"

Haha nice so you're telling me fuck what I'm doing and just EAT and lift heavy? Haha cause I'll do that if this diet isn't going to work:(

most excellent.
Doesn't get any better than that
I would like to see one of these with a powerlifter. It'd be awesome to see what they would live off of.
If I was him, I'd go for Bananas and Potatoes (Sweet, or normal) for carbs, that would get a few vitamins in the mix. This works for him, but he worked at a resteraunt and so he could get left overs easily.
50 bucks?! I got to see this!
