When it was working it washed great!. We paid $1286 for it plus $200 for the extended 5year service plan. Brought to $1500. We bought from Home Depot in December 2017. We used it Jan, Feb, THEN all hell broke loose. The lid exploded not once but twice as stated on my previous comment. The first time the lid exploded was Feb 21, they finally repaired it on March 17th the first time. Then it lasted less than a week and my wife watched it explode rigjt in front of her own eyes the second time March 21. We hace been battling with Maytag/Whirlpooll every since then with lawyers and such. We finally just today May 10th received our refund check by fed-ex. Mean while using the laundry mat to wash our clothes the entire time due to Not having a washer. $1500 for a product that didn't work and the company didn't want to honor their product. MAYTAG IS Not a good company anymore since Whirlpool bought them
Yes, I did a 3 month review. there is a couple of things I don't like but none of them are a deal breaker... I would recommend this to anyone who wants a large capacity
Don't buy it. When the lid shatters, and it will. Maytag doesn't want to stand good for their product. I had to threaten them with a lawyer In order to get mine repaired the first time it broke. The second time the lid shattered they tried to say we were abusing it. It turned out to be a defect in the machine. Again threatened with a lawyer and they finally refunded my money for the full amount t i paid for it but it took 3 months forbtje to do it and 3 months of going to the laundry mat fees. I paid $1500 for this unit. I'm sure it was just a fluke and pro bably wouldn't happen twice with another machine, but the principle ofnthe fact is they don't stand good on their product they sale. Also it's always on Backorder. Every part for it is always on Backorder. It's not worth the headache.

This just happened to my Maytag washer lid. The glass spontaneously shattered! Just bought got it in early Mar 2018!
