I think students should not come in IIT for good placements, they should come for learning and curious about the studies. Placements should be secondary thing.

I think if iit student get low package then they can switch later on and obviously they will get priority from non iit students.
Obviously, even before joining that low package company they choose to sit for off campus and get a better package.
