  • Welcome to our channel. We are Karen and David, a young couple who have dreamed of creating a life where we are mostly self sufficient and as debt free as possible. In hopes of reaching this goal, we decided to leave our comfortable apartment in October of 2020 and move into a 6ft x 20ft camper until we could purchase land. In August of 2021 we were able to find and purchase this beautiful land that we now call home. In January 2022 we purchased the property next to us which had this mobile home and all the amenities that we needed. After a year and a few months we moved into the mobile home and started renovating it which brings us to present day. Because debt free is a goal we decided to renovate this home instead of purchasing a new one. We hope that you feel welcomed into our journey and that we can inspire you in some way. Thank you so much for being here, God Bless you, Karen and David

    One of our goals is to clean this pond. This in itself is very expensive and a huge task, which means we cannot do it ourselves. If you would like to donate to help us achieve this, you can do so here.

    Looks amazing!! Did you wait for epoxy to dry first or do you torch when wet?

    Bless you, that was a time consumer! It looks great. I need to do this too, but the whole time I was thinking my cat would get hair in the epoxy before it dried (she sheds so bad) or worse, she would customise it with paw prints!!! You are doing so well. Soon by watching you, my `95 mobile home will be completely renovated as well! Thank you for sharing this journey. Blessings to you both.

      Awww. I think the paw prints would be cool... hahaha. Thankfully, my cat loves to be outside, so most of her shedding is left outside. The one I had to worry about was my husband.... I had to watch him like a hawk! 🤣

    Is the Feather Finish waterproof once cured?

    • @chosennpreciousfarm
      @chosennpreciousfarm  Год назад

      Sadly no, I got some grease stains on it. It was hard to remove. Thats why I ended up putting the resin coat on top

    Your brave to try this! I appreciate you talking about your process as you work. Can you list what supply products you used? another question, and maybe I missed you talking about this: how did the darker areas happen? To me the concrete looked white, then the dark areas seemed to show after the resin was added and torched. Do you think there was something that caused the darker areas?

    • @chosennpreciousfarm
      @chosennpreciousfarm  Год назад

      Hi Jen, I used a a couple different trowls, a straight edge one and a serrated one. A bucket of any kind works. Aldex feather finish. I cant remember the name of the resin I use but i got it at home depot. And then the tourch.

      So I think the dark sports are due to some moisture. I think i didn't let the cement dry enough before putting the resin 🫢

      @@chosennpreciousfarm did you let it dry for 2 weeks before the resin? Is that not enough?
