I asked if you could do a video about this and you did it the same day. Thank you very much!🤙🏼
Question: If you aren’t perfectly steady with the tool then your line will go off. Do you have any tips on how to keep the tool steady?

      No dramas at all man!
Going slow and steady and making sure your gaugue is staying vertical is about the only key. I've often thought about putting a level o the gauge and just eye balling the bubble

@@smallkinedings Putting a bubble level on it is an excellent idea. Thanks!👍

so useful as usual!! would it be possible to make a tutorial about how you work your rocker on the nose and tail? do you use the planer or you do it manually? it's kinda hard to find a good video about it! thanks man

Hey hey, I'm probably the wrong guy to ask about that. My expertise are not in shaping at this point.
I can let you know though that I do that rubbish area by the nose by hand and not with the planer. I use this tool and while it's tedious by hand, I find it way less nerve racking than with the planer - www.thesurfboardstudio.com.au/collections/shaping-tools/products/the-surfboard-studio-concave-belly-vee-hook-and-loop-bottom
I'm also making primarily fun boards like fish so they don't naturally have a lot of rocker
If you dont know him already, check out Matt Kazumas videos on insta and RUclips. He's a gold mine!

Since I like yellow rails and yellow doesn’t cover well, what do you think about using something pointy that creates a creased line instead of a pencil?

Yew, you could round of a chopstick or something just to indent the foam slightly. As long as you can see it clearly and you're not ruining your hard shaping work!

You can also cut a piece stringer and foam in a L shape of a scrap board also.
    Greetings from Brazil

Greeting Brazil! Yup for sure, whatever we can make that L out of is a winner!
