- This is my WHELEN 224A Siren that is installed in my POV that I use when responding to Fire & EMS calls. It has a very distinct, attention getting "yelp", and a long "wail" that resembles a "Q" Siren. This vintage siren was made in the 80's and early 90's, and is very hard to find. If you do find one, hang on to it.
I would really like to see a dash cam video of you responding with that siren! Sounds great!
The first time and the last time other than these videos that I've heard that siren was when I used to live in Cleveland Ohio and I love that siren Cleveland as far as I know don't have them anymore but back and I think it was yeah the 80s and 90s yeah at least that yeah Cleveland had those when they had the old interceptor Ford Caprice the chevy caprice or I should say to Ford Crown Vic chevy caprice when they had those cars back then but yeah they don't have them anymore but they do have some of the cars but favorite place to laugh at Cleveland's where I used to hear that a lot love it
Older siren are so much cooler.
Going differences between yours Anne theirs was third unit had everything on it all yours is missing is the switch the push buttons on the top for the alley lights take down and flashers other than that your unit is the same minus those
Cool!
Love it dude! You still have this POV?
This is how a siren is supposed to sound...not like any of the crappy shit whelen puts out now...
Yeah, they don't make them like this anymore. To me, this is the best siren Whelen ever made.
+Lieutenant Sean Ezell oh yes sir real sirens come from the 60's 70's and 80's...
Lieutenant Sean Ezell where did you get it
I acquired this siren from a dealer that sells used emergency vehicle equipment. These sirens are extremely hard to find, as they were manufactured by Whelen in the late 80's and early 90's.
Lieutenant Sean Ezell can you send me the link of the website
