    This is exactly the kind of instructional that helps the rest of us get through our projects. Thanks!

      Thanks! You know, it's also not the kind of thing that I feel comfortable doing in a short form video. Sorry, but I'm showing things full length.

    Nice work Bill! This video all by its self is priceless. The info and demonstration of how all the side stainless and glass comes apart and goes together….Bill, you knocked it out of the ballpark! I cannot thank enough for sharing this.
    Too bad you didn’t “put new windshield wiper blades on” before pulling out the “busted windshield”, I think you know where I’m going with this 😂

      Look how cockeyed he works. New wipers on a busted windshield. Good hands, though! LOL!

      The big wave of initial views are always those that are watching for entertainment, but there are a smaller group of people that watch them at first or find them later that are doing exactly that! And that's why I'm publishing them!

      It is so easy to nick the finish, no matter how careful. Christine has beauty marks all over that I need to touch up.

    This was the most intricate and time consuming part of my build. I always wondered how they did this on an assembly line. Mine was harder because I was adding all this BelAir trim to my 210. It was worth it though.

    I don’t have a TRI5 or a Chevy but it’s motivating for me to get my 66 Fairlane convertible back on the road.
    My hope is to one day soon strip it down and do a 100% restoration like this.
    I will be happy and sad at the same time once you’re done with the car. I look forward to your videos.

      A lot of what I'm doing is applicable to any car from the 50s or 60s. Part numbers may be different, or where the bolts are, but otherwise, they were all made very similarly.

    I'm thinking you are going to add the "A" pillar while doing the windshield install.

    • @RestoringChristine1956
      @RestoringChristine1956  2 месяца назад

      Add to it? I did add some width to the bottom corner flange of the passenger's side.

    Wow! I need help with my vent windows, 55 chevy bel-air. They are frozen (won't move). I used channel locks on the spindle, did not help. They moved a little. Is it possible you can give me a suggestion?

    • @RestoringChristine1956
      @RestoringChristine1956  11 дней назад

      I rebuilt these in Episode 119: ruclips.net/video/72WfLgCuJXo/видео.html
      That might help you figure out what's got yours stuck. But there is only the regulator that turns them, so if it's not rotating, then its the regulator that's jammed. I don't think it's possible to get them stuck in the pivots. They sell replacements and it's an easy swap once you get your door panel off.

    Aren't the A and B pillars supposed to be white?

    • @RestoringChristine1956
      @RestoringChristine1956  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes. But they were red when I bought the car 20 years ago. There are a number of things that made Christine unique, and this is one that I stuck with.
