If this video gets 10K likes I will write an ending where Chef Bertie is the hero! Seriously though, thanks everyone for watching my breakdowns this season. This video is just for fun :)
I think the reason why their ghosts are still in the camp is because their ears are still on the property. Most of the bodies were removed from the property when found by the police. But their spirits still remained. In murder house/apocalypse they show that the removal of the remains off the property has the corresponding ghost move on. You dont see the ghosts of lavinias victims because she didnt cut their ears. But you see margrets/jingles victims ghosts because their ears were removed. The ears must still be on the property. It doesnt really explain montana because her ear wasnt removed.
I always saw Jingles as *THEE* main character. He had one of the biggest arcs from 1. troubled childhood 2. framed for murder 3. became a murderer 4. Started a new life, had a son 5. Sacrificed himself for his son 6. Had closure with his son
Jetfire97 sadly, I never saw jingles as the main character, which is the problem - I should have. And you’re right, a HUGE character arc and honestly, a really good one, but Ryan Murphy chose you focus on the cool fashion of the teenagers, rather than good and thorough story telling. Sad day. What’s even more sad, I don’t think they even realize they had crafted a good through line and backstory for Jingles. I honestly think he started off as just a side plot and throughout filming Finn Whitrock became available to be in an episode and they were like, “ok guys, new script, Jingles is going to start a new life, have a kid, and we’ll flash forward so Finn can have a part!”
The "ghosts" kept saying that they wanted someone with supernatural skills to come visit them, explain everything & set them free. So, I believed 1,000%, that they would bring Sarah Paulson in as the Medium character she often plays........
that wouldn't really be possible tho, cause in 2011 (murder house) she was probably 30-40, so in 1989 she was probably like 8 or 18 when she wasn't really a professional considering the fact that Constance knew her recently
HeyItsNS No, Sarah Anderson’s theory works if applied to the finale. The finale of 1984 took place in 2019, which we know the character of Billie Dean Howard would be old enough for.
it really bothers me how they messed up the fact that Ricky was supposed to appear on Devil's night every year as it was said in Hotel but how on earth is he supposed to be doing that since they didn't get off guard with him until 2019. Also is he actually a ghost or is it actually Satan resurrecting him all these times? The latter is kind of implied by how we see him getting back in 2019 so he's not really dead for any longer period of time so the Devil's Night thing makes even less sense... did they just forget he was in Hotel??
@@ngochuynh6767 idk that whole multiple timelines theory seems like an excuse for lazy writing to me since Ryan Murphy was always preaching how all seasons are connected but idk
They ran out of budget and time....as a result they didn’t have the make up time or funds to age Brookes character 30years in the final episode as planned, and they had to completely scrap the Billy idol plot thread. The original script was for Billy(peters) to show up wasted at camp redwood and when he came too, realized he was out of dope and tasked a roadie to score more drugs. Ramirez realizes his chance to meet Billy, when the same roadie that showed Ramirez Idols rings, approaches him for dope to give to Billy. Ramirez murders the roadie and starts killing the other bands while stealing their dope to give to Billy himself. Ramirez tells billy that the other guy quit and that he was the new replacement. Billy protests at first that he hadn’t been told, but finally believes him when Ramirez presents the box of Billy’s rings along with a 3 month supply of dope. The two get wasted and Ramirez tells Billy that the other bands wouldn’t be performing resulting in Billy saying he was leaving also. He decides to leave immediately and go on tour, taking Ramirez with him. Ramirez abandons being the night stalker and his pact with the devil, to become the new head roadie and ring bearer for Billy Idol. Billy’s tour bus leaves the camp before he ever finds out the other bands had been murdered, and was so drugged up he forgets he had ever been there. Having broken his pact with Satan to serve Billy Idol, Ramirez doesn’t get resurrected when he fully embraces the Rock and Roll lifestyle and dies of an overdose a few weeks later. (Freeing Ramirez to appear at The Cortez ) The original plot line for Jingles son had to be scrapped as well...where Bobby shows up at camp redwood and the ghost of Margaret Booth convinces the other spirits that the only way to break their curse was to end the bloodline of the lady in white...the one that cursed the camp to begin with..The spirits agree and trap Bobby in the camp while trying to hunt him down and kill him, but the Lady in white tells Jingles that the only way to save his son is actually become Mr Jingles, who then relentlessly butchers the other spirits repeatedly, while guarding his son. As morning comes, Bobby escapes exactly as filmed in the finale and as he leaves, the lady in white is finally appeased, removing the curse from the camp and allowing the souls to move on.
Mooky Blaylock Because you know how running a tv show works?? Stop trying to turn a positive comment into something negative. Have a good day & maybe get a hobby besides posting rude comments on RUclips.
Ryan Murphy definitely loves coven, murder house, and asylum more than any other season imo. I love campy 80s movies so I wasn’t mad, it was pretty good, but it left more to be desired :/
This show is good but they aren't great at wrapping things up imo. Just like the other season where the climax of killing the ultimate villain is running him over in a car
Bob Saget Or, like in Coven when the supreme was found in episode 10, not to mention, multiple other timelines being mediocrely tied up, basically making it the finale. Then, you find out, there are 2 more episodes to go until the season ends and there is no point to them whatsoever.
@@jonathanwilliams531 Also, the final episode of Asylum felt more like a filler "Where are they now?" episode, because all the plot lines were already wrapped up in the penultimate episode.
It still bothers me that Ramirez was established to have the same timeline in AHS (back in season 5) as he does in real life, dying of cancer while locked up in 2013 and then showing up during Devil's Night of 2015 at the Hotel Cortez. There's no way 1984 can be tied to any of the other seasons because he couldn't have been tortured by ghosts for 30+ years and also have been in captivity and died 6 years prior to the end of this season. It's a huge plot hole, and they should have just picked another serial killer for the role or just scrapped it entirely tbh. His existence adds more questions to apocalypse and why the devil was willing to save this one specific follower of his, but not the anti chist. Show should have just focused on margaret and jingles and explored how camp redwood was another hellmouth like Hotel Cortez and Murder House.
Tbh I think this season is a piece of fiction in the AHS cannon, like a movie or a show, such as "My Roanoke Nightmare." I said that for 3 reasons: 1. At the beginning of ep1, it did freeze frames on the main characters with their names. 2. At the end of the finale, it showed the season's title, which is unlike any of the seasons prior. 3. This last reason comes from the teasers. If anyone remembers the teaser with the 2 counselors watching TV ( I can't remember the name), they were watching 1984's first ep. Now here's a 4th weak reason too, but it's kinda meh, so whatever. But anyways, the season using the slasher font instead of the regular font could possibly be a hint to this too. It could also possibly be a reference to the "Stab" franchise within the "Scream" movies, as both have different fonts from each other. But anyways, that's kind of my theory. It might not be the strongest but it exists until AHS can explains the whole Ramirez thing.
There's 2 universes for ahs so maybe instead of the universe with coven MH and hotel it's the asylum FS Roanoke and cult universe and Ricky ended up there instead of where he was meant to be. Like The Cortez and the ghost ofMarch are what inspired Ricky in hotel but Montana here.
The separate timeline is just a lame excuse. The Billy Idol plot thread was supposed to result in Ramirez abandoning his pact with satan to leave the camp with Idol as his bodyguard, after Ramirez saves Idol from being Murdered. Ramirez finally dies from an overdose and doesn’t get resurrected as punishment. That entire plot line was scrapped at the last minute due to running over budget and over schedule.
@@LionWithAGun Time travel and things like that can be whatever the creator wants it to be and i think it's pretty obvious Ryan Murphy wants the entire timeline to have been changed so he can tell a new story with a new anti-christ. Killing the actual anti-christ in the past would have a butterfly effect, that's how they explain why it effects the past too
I literally didnt realise it was the last episode and when it ended my boyfriend just looked at me and I saw the ending sequence and just said no it cant be the end, seriously ryan Murphy?!
Although the ending of 1984 did leave some things unexplained I still thought it ended nicely very somberly and heartfelt with jingles finally talking with his son and saying that all he went through was for him and that it was all worth it and Brooke and Donna were both final girls
This season gives me the vibe that it’s just a story. Maybe one of Madison Montgomery’s movies. I don’t really know how to explain it. But it felt artificial. I still loved it tho!
did anyone realize that if Richard Ramirez is stuck at camp redwood he can’t finish the killings of the night stalker, die and become a ghost and then go to the dinner at the hotel Cortez every Halloween??? pretty big plot hole imo
ChewbaccaOnDrugs1130 do they have to return the infinity stones to the correct point in time in order to not have an alternate reality? A reality where Ryan Murphy is able to tie up at least one plot line in his life?
Not to mention if he died in his 20’s stuck at camp redwood. Why do we see him middle aged after he died of cancer. By the way, he actually explains this in AHS hotel on devil’s night. While It’s true on Ahs that ghosts roam freely on halloween (devils night at the cortez) that could explain how he is there, but his story does not add up. He’s still middle aged and died in prison. Not in his 20’s dead at C.R.
My only real complaint is that the didn't utilize the Halloween rules that was established for spirits in season 1 (They can leave/go anywhere for that day.)
I agree that this season was in my top favorite episodes! Asylum is my favorite but this is really a close second. Pretty much all the endings have left me feeling a bit shorted. Not all of them but close. Even though this ending didn’t tie up all the loose ends, I found myself just going with it because I enjoyed it as much as I did. Your ending would have been so freaking awesome!!!! I seriously loved it!!!! I wondered if this season wasn’t connected because they will connect another set of seasons....just a thought but doubtful. Thank you for the awesome video!
That doesn’t make sense¿ if she’s not trying to be exposed why would she marry a celebrity....BILLY IDOL AT THAT. The paparazzi would be all over that?
RAMS DAMS That doesn’t help the fact she would still have the same face. When the US was hunting Bin Laden they had experts matching pics, recordings & videos around the clock, using triangulation etc. IMO it just wouldn’t be possible, unless she had extensive surgery.
Way cooler ending lol but for tie ins to other seasons Ricky can’t die since he appeared at Devil’s Night on Hotel and was a bit older. But I like Brooke actually being more involved in helping expel the evil spirit & breaking the curse
@@juliandavidquinteroferrer1916 Yeah, season 2 was probably the best IMO, so the ending was great, season 1 had a great ending (but not middle), 4 was more mediocre, but much better than 5 or 7, and 6 had an interesting premise, but fell a bit short of its potential. Hotel was crap, Season 7 was crap, too, and I must admit I really liked last season (maybe because of the setting). Season 3 was the least interesting one- for me anyway, it was centered around women !
I love your theories and breakdowns. I also loved how you tied in the witches with Billy idol being part of the warlocks. Your alternative ending would have been epic. You should be part of the next ahs season. You have a lot of creativity. Looking forward to your next video😊
Again, not knocking the version we got this ending was one thousand times better. I want this on screen. Great job with the whole playlist and videos you've done. Been watching since Castle Rock early videos and I'm a late commenter but all your videos are vastly entertaining then many of your counterparts I have not even bothered with mainly because you are so good. I will not list the videos you've done that have kept my attention but they are large in number and I thank you for making them for the first time properly.
The curse is already explained from previous seasons. The trauma and tragedy that happened at the camp is the reason they're stuck there. I actually liked your ending and it maked Brooke's story more satisfying.
This season would've benefited from adding an epispde with the Halloween music festival! Personally i really wanted this cuz i think it was a missed opportunity for them to have brought back Edward Mordrake to kill off Richard Ramirez
The biggest disappointment I had was that we never saw the festival. I’m certain that they must’ve had the festival and an epic showdown planned for episode 9 and the actual episode nine was supposed to be more like episode ten, but they cut the festival because of budget issues. Nonetheless I wish they wouldn’t have built up this super cool showdown just to not do it.
There are so many unanswered questions!!! Did Brooke really sleep with Montana's brother?! How in thee hell did Ricky get to Alaska and threaten Baby Bobby?! And thennn, how does that tie into Hotel?! Where's the original psychiatrist that first called Mr. Jingles crazy? Her ghost never came back. What was the point of Dylan McDermott's character?
I really thought they were building towards introducing Billy Idol so that he could be Richard Ramirez’ undoing and it would have been amazing if it could have happened the way you wrote it! Honestly I feel like the writers were building to a much grander and cohesive season and the ending was just kind of....a dud. Would have loved your ending instead.
@@eternalisolationoftheworld680 watched you the other seasons for example Murder House cause there it was explained. For example if a Human dies in his house then he or she will stuck there and can't leave the house besides if it's Halloween cause on Halloween every ghost is free and is free to leave the House. I hope you understand it also sorry if my English isnt the best I am from Germany.☺
@@buenyad8001 that's nothing like the camp? It clearly was established that they can't get outside the camp, ever, not even on halloween. Second the Murder House was CURSED. Camp redwood? Literally no idea what's wrong with the camp
I think there must be a season where one of the trapped souls in either Camp Redwood or the Murder House can break the spell and finally go to the other side
1984 was doing well early on. The first five episodes were actually telling a good story with good writing and characters and mixing in 80s nostalgia and it felt more like a nice homage to the decade. The last few episodes was where the season went bad. It just became a parody of the decade and created a plothole after plothole.
I think once a evil tragedy happens in AHS and curses the land the land is just permanently cursed there. It’s not the person effecting the location but the location it’s self. I did love you’re new ending though. I wanted to see Billy so bad and was bummed that he didn’t appear. I almost wondered if they wanted Evan to do it but when he said no they scrapped it.
please start to cover his dark materials! I absolutely love listening to you break everything down. from an avid AHS, castle rock, the mandalorian, his dark materials lover.
A cool twist I think should’ve happened is that cordelia or another witch should’ve came to the camp in 2010 or whenever Michael was born and then we could see the devil transport into Michael
But the curse *CANNOT* have started with Lavinia’s murder spree and death because Bobby died before that and his ghost was there. Someone or something else caused the curse.
Her grief could have caused it I guess. Like her wanting to hold onto Bobby and all the rage she felt could have caused it, with Bobby being the first ghost.
Shauna Smith that doesn’t make any sense either. By the time her grief hit her, Bobby was still already dead. Bobby was dead and discovered by a group of people before she had any idea what happened.
I’ll never understand Ryan’s obsession with Richard Ramirez. He was a lame serial killer and wasn’t even the ORIGINAL night stalker. He was basically just a punk and petty thief.
Omgosh your version is EXACTLY what I was hoping for. I liked this season but didn’t love it, but I felt it was better than Roanoke. I’m still hoping for a season with aliens (to tie in Asylum) and more Coven characters.
i think theyre going to use this season & Camp Redwood & these characters in future seasons, just like they have gone back to Coven & Murder House before
I love this idea but there’s no way this would be fit into a 42 minute episode i think that’s why the writers always take the easy way out in last episodes because they can’t jampack everything in a short period
I thought it ended like the 80s horror movies it paid homage to. Open ended, cryptic and anticlimactic. I believe initially there were more episodes planned to explain this, but maybe due to time, budget or storyline, it would have dragged. Episodes 1-5 were almost perfect. Also, having not seen AHS since Freakshow made this a treat for me as it felt like a true anthology series. I didn’t care that the seasons connected. As far as the ending, I think the “rushed” embrace, may feel forced, but that final shot just hit me out of nowhere with The living years playing in the background made it satisfying 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 🏕 #campredwoodforever

She wouldve had a new identity before her an donna went back to the camp so only Her an Donna would know the name of her new persona
RAMS DAMS That doesn’t help the fact she would still have the same face. When the US was hunting Bin Laden they had experts matching pics, recordings & videos around the clock, using triangulation etc. IMO it just wouldn’t be possible, unless she had extensive surgery.
Blondesense ik I was just talking about the name lol
lol yeah, ngl this guys ending is horrible. not saying i could do any better but this just is not good. worse than what AHS did
@@ramsdams8402 loser
Way cooler ending lol but for tie ins to other seasons Ricky can’t die since he appeared at Devil’s Night on Hotel and was a bit older. But I like Brooke actually being more involved in helping expel the evil spirit & breaking the curse
I love that Donna Chambers survived that whole ordeal & became a Final Girl.
Now that would’ve been a great ass finale episode
So happy to see a review on how ahs 1984 should have ended I like were your head is at in this video.
Yeah, the ending sucked hard. Seems to me that all AHS seasons start strong, then hit a peak around episode 5 or 6, then it all goes to shit !
that's so true, i think the only seasons that didn't have that trouble, in my opinion, are 1,2,4 and 6.
Season 3 was the least interesting one- for me anyway, it was centered around women !
jason vaughn season 3 was dope. It was centered around the coven, but yeah if you want to be an asshole and be like “bUt wOmeN”, then sure? ✌️
That's the recipe xD
@@akakskakkspepepepepeoeoeoe9496 not everyone is into witchcraft and voodoo.
I love your theories and breakdowns. I also loved how you tied in the witches with Billy idol being part of the warlocks. Your alternative ending would have been epic. You should be part of the next ahs season. You have a lot of creativity. Looking forward to your next video😊
i- why did u have to call us cody fans out
They should’ve tied something in between Hotel and 1984
Again, not knocking the version we got this ending was one thousand times better. I want this on screen. Great job with the whole playlist and videos you've done. Been watching since Castle Rock early videos and I'm a late commenter but all your videos are vastly entertaining then many of your counterparts I have not even bothered with mainly because you are so good. I will not list the videos you've done that have kept my attention but they are large in number and I thank you for making them for the first time properly.
this season had so much potential my god I can't believe it ended like that
It's season 9
It is on Netflix
The curse is already explained from previous seasons. The trauma and tragedy that happened at the camp is the reason they're stuck there. I actually liked your ending and it maked Brooke's story more satisfying.
This season would've benefited from adding an epispde with the Halloween music festival! Personally i really wanted this cuz i think it was a missed opportunity for them to have brought back Edward Mordrake to kill off Richard Ramirez
You should be a Screen Writer, a much better and imaginative ending than the one we got. :)
BOBBY TOOK ONE EPISODE TO STEAL MY HEART
The biggest disappointment I had was that we never saw the festival. I’m certain that they must’ve had the festival and an epic showdown planned for episode 9 and the actual episode nine was supposed to be more like episode ten, but they cut the festival because of budget issues. Nonetheless I wish they wouldn’t have built up this super cool showdown just to not do it.
Thanks so much for doing this creative reimagining of that lackluster end. I like this one a whole lot better. Bravo!
I like the idea of Billy being a warlock.
DUDE!!! This is amazing! Love your ending waaayyyyyy more!
Why didn't any of the 1984 hosts encounter any *earlier* 1949 camp ghosts?
Sooo many questions
Because the curse was supposedly created after Lavinia dies and her blood curses the land, which happened after the 1949 massacre.
Also the original nurse Rita, Blake, and the cop that got killed by montana??
Yeah and all those questions popped because of the lazy writing starting in 9x06.
@@aaronaguas9203 I feel they're just wandering around and such, that and prolly the actors were busy or something
Holy.... this was freaking amazing. This is actually how it should have ended!
We definitely needed Evan Peters as Billy Idol.
I love It! If Cordelia had appeared in this episode I would have freaked out.
Great work as usual! Thank you for all your ideas! Love from Germany
John carrol lynch was fanatstic. Jingles will always be a icon
Wow Ryan needs to hire you or something because this is so much of a better ending
Was one of the best SEASONS so far. :)
not reallyyyy top 5 maybe. But I enjoyed it
My personal favorite. I’m for some reason distracted by the fact that you capitalized seasons instead of BEST 😂
Jesus christ your ending is soo much better than theirs😣😣 they need to hire you RN!💜
And completely implausible. Move along child.
I love this ending. It could’ve been two or even three more episodes. I feel like Ryan Murphy got lazy.
I think that your ending is so much better. :) it will adds more contrast to the story line. Good one !
So many things wasn't explain like how did they get stuck there so many things that needed to be explain but wasn't.
Do you mean the Ghosts
@@buenyad8001 yeah
@@vex080 Okay I didn't know cause here in Germany the season isnt even out yet. I'm sorry
I think there must be a season where one of the trapped souls in either Camp Redwood or the Murder House can break the spell and finally go to the other side
Yes. Yes to all of this. Ties everything up much more satisfyingly than how the season actually ended.
is this ending absolutely batshit? Yes. Do I love it? Yes.
awesome! great work, always look forward to your vids
Aside from 80s nostalgia, I think this season was a flop.
100%
Exactly! Glad someone actually thinks this. This season was rough and for being the shortest it was still one of the weakest.
Complete flop. Show just went downhill
1984 was doing well early on. The first five episodes were actually telling a good story with good writing and characters and mixing in 80s nostalgia and it felt more like a nice homage to the decade. The last few episodes was where the season went bad. It just became a parody of the decade and created a plothole after plothole.
I bet in 10 years you being saying oh i love ahs 1984 was the best duh... Epic season 1984 is the 2nd best ahs.
Buddy, that ending sounds FANTASTIC. Great work
But the curse *CANNOT* have started with Lavinia’s murder spree and death because Bobby died before that and his ghost was there.
Fantastic ending! I thought there was no way you could fix this season lol
I literally got chills when you drew this into that ending territory. Fuck.
Yoooo lmao that's a like from me just on how the video opened 😂😂 classic Arnold
Another great one.. keep it coming❤👍😊
With 2022 about to start this is definitely still my favorite season to rewatch right behind Roanoke
Man that was creative and I loved it I’m gonna give you a like/thumbs up
Your version was very good. You are a great story writer.
I love the season ending, but God, this ending is so much better, it's so emotional and fantastic ❤️👏
You’re so good at these!
I absolutely love this ending you wrote!!! It fits better than the original.
I saw your post about having a busy week but I’m going crazy over here waiting for your next Castle Rock video. (Also keep it up. Love your channel)
Ryan Murphy should hire you to write a few episodes!
Your ending is PERFECT
Billy Idol saves the day. I love it.
This version of the season finale sounds really good and I would definitely enjoy watching it. Especially if Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters were in it.
I’m still hoping for a season with aliens (to tie in Asylum) and more Coven characters.
i think theyre going to use this season & Camp Redwood & these characters in future seasons, just like they have gone back to Coven & Murder House before
THIS is way better than I thought, seriously this ending would make sense as well!
Fantastic as always! Love your take on AHS and this ending is incredible! Keep up the videos, you have a loyal subscriber!
How was it not everyone’s favorite? Loved this one
God I wish you were one of the writers for AHS. 😩
I love this idea but there’s no way this would be fit into a 42 minute episode i think that’s why the writers always take the easy way out in last episodes because they can’t jampack everything in a short period
I thought i wasnt gonna like what u had to say but honestly i like your ending a lot
I thought that Margaret got stuck in the camp because a ghost licked his finger with her blood on it. MISSED CHANCE.
Love your ending,so much better
I totally loved the way you thought AHS 1984 should have ended! The show should hire you as a writer...seriously! 😉🙃🙂
i’m just gonna pretend this is how the show ended bc i was really underwhelmed with the real ending
This seasons ending was the most disappointing. Ryan was like “oh it’s an au” but linked it into all the others by linking Briarcliff
Duuude, Evan Peters as Billy Idol would have been absolutely AMAZING...SO perfect! WOW!
Evan wasnt in the season cause he didnt wanna deal with Emma and Gus... soooo having Emma marry him in the show is a little bit of a no no
They really needed to have Billy Idol in the finale.
How did the ghosts have so many changes of clothes?
Donna Clayton bags they packed for the counselling gig in 1984, probably
From people they killed
You’re right. This ending is batshit, but excellent...
