    Great build! Thanks for the dog tag idea. My furry co pilots will be missed one day and I will do the same.

    You’ve been running 37’s for quite awhile now and you’ve made the associated necessary upgrades your Jeep’s steering/ballsjoints/knuckles/regear/etc, but do you have plans to upgrade your front & rear axles or your brakes?

    • @ExpeditionBuilds
      @ExpeditionBuilds  9 месяцев назад

      Hi Greg. Good hearing from you! My plan is to stay with 37's as I feel they are the 'sweet spot' in regards to performance/offroadability/efficiency.
      I don't feel it's necessary to upgrade the axles, as they are plenty strong to run the 37's. If I add any strength to the axles, it would be going to upgraded axle shafts. I had a conversation with a Dana Spicer engineer, asking him directly what would be next for my setup...upgraded axles shafts was his comment.
      As for the brakes, same thing applies...the brakes on the JL are excellent with the 37's...almost like Jeep knew we would be adding 37's.

      Hi Charles, It's possible our paths have crossed. I'm out in Naperville occasionally. I am also an Arizona transplant...the West, Southwest holds a huge draw for me 🏜✌🏻 Appreciate the compliment Amigo!

      Been here 14 years, got a jkur right before covid that I have been building. I have not wheeled much lately, my build is set up to be a rocklander; tremec 5 speed trans, PSC steering, axle gussets, high steer, 37"s etc.

    I have a metalcloak 3.5 game changer waiting to go on my jeep. I went with the rock sport shosks. I was wondering how the sp2's compare as for as length of travel?
    I was also curious how the rock slide engineering sliders motor does with being submerged? I live in the PNW. Wheeling and deep water is a part of life here
    Love your building btw and have been enjoying your videos. You've helped me with some informed decisions. I appreciate you taking the time to do these videos

    • @ExpeditionBuilds
      @ExpeditionBuilds  Год назад

      Hi Steven, great hearing from you!
      First off, you're going to love the 3.5" GC lift, and the RockSports are a good choice as MC has the sized to take advantage of the excellent flex/articulation. They also ride surprisingly well on road. I think you find the Jeep handles and rides better with the MC lift than the stock set up.
      Let me look up the compressed/extended length of the Falcon SP2's...I don't have that in front of me. If I remember correctly, the mid length Falcons will take advantage of full compression/extension.
      As for the RSE rock sliders go, the motor and electronics are IP65 rated, so designed to handle the wet. If you decide on getting a set for your build, take advantage of the 10% off Expedition Builds discount. When I find the Falcon specs, I'll post that hear for you. Appreciate your support, we love doing the quality videos✌🏻

      Hopefully the Kanati 37" muds hogs I ordered this morning will be here in a couple weeks so I can get my lift installed. I'm excited to see how it will perform. I have a 4xe so it will be interesting to see how it does with the 4.11 gears with the 37s.
      Thank you for the coupon code. If I end up ordering Rock Slides I'll definitely use it

      @@81selfmade1 I think your 4Xe will do great on the 37's with the 4:10's...especially because of the added torque from the electric motor. I replied to your message about the discount code. Use: expeditionbuilds10 Thanks Steven!
