Yah but she still does. While I like her style and personality I think she wastes a lot (both from an environmental and money standpoint) on buying duplicates. I clicked on the video to get ideas because my winter boots are getting worn but my first thought was you really don't need to have 6 boots to get by. As a Dutch highschooler, I had to cycle to my school for over 40 minutes, through even freezing weather. In my area there was no bus, so uggs really came in handy;)
I find it so interesting how Europeans wear uggs outside. In Australia (where uggs come from) wearing ugg boots outside in public is a big no no. They're used as winter house slippers here. Only trashy people, such as 16 year olds with bad tattoos, bleached blond hair and 5 kids wear them in public as outside shoes 😂
@@mariagabbott wow ,I never knew that! Here where I live (Croatia) and in many other European countries is somewhat of a status symbol if you have money to buy uggs. They cost around 200€ (a basic model). In Croatia the usual monthly paycheck is around 500-550€, so to buy a basic pair you give almost half your monthly income. Dr.Martins cost the same but you can pair them with more styles so if someone decides to buy 200€ pair of shoes I vote on the Dr.Martines. Uggs (originals, because we have a lot of fake brands making them) are usualy worn by rich girls ,pregnant adies, newly mamas(because of swollen feet). But they also sell uggs with a platform? @@polishasianfromfinland1624 yes we wear ugg boots as winter house slippers because we're pussies and can't stand the cold. Classy people don't wear these outside EVER
@Susan Frisingainteresting again that in the Northern Hemisphere uggs are seen as a luxury item. I think they're specifically targeted for foreign markets and tastes, for example the wedge heel or maybe snow appropriate. But trust me, there aren't many ugg stores in Australia as local, trend savvy women don't care for them. And any stores that are around Sydney are normally full of cashed up tourists, youd rarely find a local woman would value uggs. They're seen as trailer trash outdoors footwear or house slippers here.
Dr. Martens are terrible as a winter boot if you live in a place that is actually really cold. The cold makes the sole hard because it freezes and that results in a very slippery shoe with possible cracks in the sole. This is a problem with the winter models also. Don’t get me wrong, I love them in any other weather and I have 7 pairs..but if you live in a place that goes below 0 Celsius then I would recommend something else for this season.
@@annabaerg3776 Toronto isn't as bad as the rest of Canada, their Winters are comparatively mild. Doc Martens and Blundstones (if thats what they're called) are perfect for their Winters.
Winter boot essentials: Water resistant/waterproof AND must be insulated. If they are not insulated then they are not a winter boot, they are a rain boot. Which also means that you should be wearing thick socks that have a decent percentage of Wolseys in them, so you should be using a winter boot that is a half size (or one size) larger than what you normally would wear so the insulation and the sock is not compressed. When the sock is not compressed (i.e. it is fluffy) then it can trap warm air and keep your feet warm, it makes a huge difference so bring your winter wool socks with you and fit them properly at the store. Look at the sole, it should have a pattern of lugs, diamonds or other shapes that will grip the snow. If it does not grip the snow then it is a rain boot. Without grip then you are more likely to slip in snowy/icy conditions. Sometimes it is difficult to find real winter boots in the Ladies department of the store, because they focus on boots the look fashionable but really do not function well in cold weather, I just was at a few department stores this past week with my wife looking to replace her old, worn out winter boots (they don't make them any more so we could not get the same boots), we were shocked to find that all the ladies boots lacked any insulation and had a smooth sole (no tread to grip the snow/ice) so my wife went to the men's department where she found a good looking pair of boots that was insulated, the bottom half of the boot (wrapping all the way around the sole and back up he other side) were coated in a synthetic rubber so they are waterproof (they are labeled as water resistant because the part that goes up you're calves is a nice leather), they have a very thick, very fluffy insulation in the interior that feels super soft and cushy and they lace up properly to give a good fit. Those are the ones that she purchased and she loves them.
Insulated boots and woollen socks? Almost everyone doing this combo will DEFINITELY have sweaty feet. Not a good combo at all. Have breathable, waterproof boots and wear with woolen socks

So many girls had accidents wearing uggs cause they were slippy on frozen grounds. Literally one broke her arms because she slipper and fell. I slipped with them a lot too. Not safe for winter!
Edit: referring to the girls in my high school
Same with Dr.martens..
Same with Timberlands
Yeah, that's why I got the waterproof Uggs.
The bottoms are meant for snowy/rainy conditions.
Woaw thx for info. Glad i didnt buy uff last winter
You should get Blundstone Boots !
How does she keep her winter boots clean and neat like this after using them for so many years? Mine wore out fast especially after walking on the salt in the winter.
