- Having a collection of shoe essentials in your closet is necessary for putting together outfits with minimal effort. If you have been following me for a while, you know that when it comes to footwear I don't really stray from the basics - I may indulge in trends or pops of color from time to time, but I really prefer to stick to the classics.
Today I'm sharing what I think are the 8 shoe essentials every girl should own! These are the shoes I think you should invest in so you're covered for everything from casual days running errands to formal events.

They are great quality and will last for many many years to come and it will save you money in the long run. I used to think the same way as you but found out investing in a good quality shoe or bag or coat that will last for a long time will save you money cuz you wont be buying multiples over the years
I think she meant for designer shoes. But there are definetly very affordable quality shoes. Just pick something that suits your budget and personal style. :)
Guys, in my country some People earn not much more as A month salary. I would never even dream about shoes for 300$.
I'm a teenager so my shoes essentials are : a pair of converse /white sneakers/black sneakers/a great pair of black boots/a pair of brown or black sandals .who can also relate ?

If she gonna spend it for the next 4+ years then yes it is not crazy expensive.
Of course, your choice of shoes depends on your everyday activities and means of transportation as well. But generally speaking, a good but expensive pair of shoes with long usage is much better than cheaper ones but got thrown out every 3 months.

I have just started watching your videos and you are such an inspiration. I'm a younger mum and I really lost my sense of self, especially my femininity after having a child and it's really amazing to see you owning yourself and motherhood! For people who cannot afford louboutin, I absolutely adore the Sam Edelman Hazel pumps. They come in tons of different colors and patterns and they are just amazing. There’s cushion made inside of them.
I really want a pair of patent louboutin pumps though and they come in a ton of different colors now.

fawnelles Of course they will... idk what you do with your sandals, but I bought mine in like 2013? and they’re still great. I know that people tend to be more careful when they’re wearing expensive shoes, but if you wore designer stuff like you most likely wear no-name brand stuff, both are gonna last just the same way. Also, even if your $15 shoes only last 1 year, buying 4x $15 shoes to cover four years is only one fifth of $300.

I bought perfect looking black sandals and they made my feet hurt soooo bad! Not only that , but they broke after one wear.

Do you have any tricks for making high heels more bearable to wear? I struggle with them hurting or falling off my heels. Thank you!
Inserts sometimes help, but I think it's more about practice. The more you wear them, the easier it gets. They will never be super comfortable so I usually opt for flats when possible ❤️
Go for ones that have thicker heel 😊 they will be more stable and slightly more comfortable...never completely pain-free 😂 gel pads sometimes help as well, but otherwise I agree - flats can be the new comfortable sexy 😂

Kristin Klein I agree! I am 6’3”, and wear a size 13 in women’s shoes. I have a hard time walking in heels, and they hurt my feet a lot an hour or so after I put them on. Are more expensive heels more comfortable than the cheaper ones? Just curious.
I really love the Banana Republic Madison 12 hour pumps! A really big difference with other heels

Well either save some money for a longer time and have one great pair that lasts 5-10 years or get poorly manufactured 30-50$ plastic shoes every year over and over again... sounds like a simple choice to me and I'm a student myself. She is saying shoe essentials, not shoe trends

I pay 25 € for a new pair of white shoes every year. I've used the older ones for 4 years but I like having the option of brand new white shoes because of how they look. This year I didn't buy any cause the ones I have from last year still do not have a single dent but still. No matter how expensive the shoes are, after 3 to 4 years they won't look like new no matter what
50$ poorly manufactured? I have a pair of shoes already for 3 years and they are still looking good. As a student it's hard to just save 300$. I would rather buy, how you would say: some pair of shoes for poor people, than spend so much money.

I also think that converse and doc martens are must haves for everyone when you want to give your outfit that badass grunge feel.
My one pick would be a ballet flat. I don´t really wear much heels and that one could be worn for office and leisure time. I would miss my other options though.

I love that you show your Real side. It’s like you can afford some things and you don’t buy crap to show us. I feel like sometimes it’s better to save some money and buy something more expensive that lasts years rather than throw away your money for cheap boots every season.

I am the same, but when I buy trendy shoes I will buy a cheap pair, they will be ruined by the time the trend is over and I spend more money on classic timeless pieces I know will always be in style and they will last longer

Hehe Banan Republic 12 hour heels are a bit lower than usual but still super chic, classic, and soooo comfortable. If you want a heel you can be standing in for hours, I'd recommend them!

Speaking from another giraffe (I'm the height of an average male in my country and almost 15cm taller than the average female) - go for it. Buy ones that make you feel like a million bucks but also are comfortable and that you can wear on multiple occasions. Like black ankle boots or sth 😊 then don't slouch, put some music on and own it - if that is what you want but feel like it might be a bit too awkwardfor others. You did not chose your height, nor did your friends. You don't ask them to wear heels so it makes the conversation go easier (joke ladies...too windy for that up here 😉), so why should you feel bad for trying on something? Even shorter ladies don't just wear high heels to be taller - it makes them feel good. If that's what you want - try it. If not, flats are amazing as well. And if anyone tries to comment...well, apparently first high heels were worn by men😉 ps there were also shoes called chopines - were even 50cm tall :D so what is 8 or 10 :p

Valeria first of all I'd like to say thank you for all of your awesome content. I'm a big fan and love your style and how you live your life. That said, you seem to support ethical/sustainable fashion so I'm so disappointed to see that you are promoting fast fashion and unethical companies. What about Shoes of Prey or Everlane? They have beautifully crafted leather shoes that will last a lifetime at a price point of about $100-300. Just saying you reach a lot of potential consumers and would be so great to promote ethically made, sustainable clothing. Hope you have a great day!
